It would be great if someone could check my math for the T8 set bonus, i am unsure if its correct because it seems i fail at math.

The bonus increases our disease bonus damage by 20%. That means instead of 10% extra damage we gain 12% per disease for HS.

Formulas:

HS without T8 4p:

w = ((Weapon Dmg / 2) + 368)
d = ((w / 100) * 10) * 2

damage per hearth strike = w + d

Example, BoH with about 800 dmg average:

w = 768 = ((800 / 2) + 368)
d = 153 = ((768 / 100) * 10) * 2

Result in 921 damage per strike.

HS with T8 4p are the same formulas but instead of 10%, you use 12% in the second formula (d).

w = 768 = ((800 / 2) + 368)
d = 184 = ((768 / 100) * 12) * 2

952 = w + d

When comparing HS with T8 4p vs HS without T8 4p that means a dmg increase by 3.3% per HS. Is this correct?
((952 - 921) / 921) * 100 = 3.36...%

As Blood, is it worth breaking T7 4pc for 90 armor pen? It would be swapping out T7 legs for the Wyrmrest exalted ones.

Is there a way to either:
a) Change the order Death Runes are used
Or
b) Manually reset Death Runes to their original runes with a macro or something?

I am doing the Blood Rotation:

DS-IT-PS-HS-HS-dump
HS-HS-DS-HS-HS-dump

During one point in my Blood rotation I have the runes:
Blood - Blood - Death(on refresh) - Death - Death(on refresh) - Death

During a normal rotation this is fine because the Death runes refresh at different times so I can use them effectively.

However, on trash mobs I often find they die at that specific spot in my rotation (I hate Murphy) so I end up with that rune pattern and none of them on cool down.

When I start up the rotation again, it wants to use the 2 left most Death Runes first like:

Blood - Blood - used - used - Death - Death

This means that the 2 frost runes will refresh together and the 2 unholy runes will refresh together and that messes up my rotation.

Unfortunately a slight change in rotation to:
IT-DS-PS-HS-HS-dump
Wait for runes-HS-HS-DS-HS-HS-dump

Does not fix the problem within 1 rotation because of the way runes refresh on intervals of 10s rather than on 10s from last use.

A change of the order Death Runes are used or to manually reset death runes would solve this rotation issue, any suggestions on how to do that?

Icy talons. By how mutch does icy talons reduce the attack speed? the same amount as you gain haste?
does the amount speed decrease increasy by the amount of talent points?

If you have the talent, it will just say "immune" on bosses and certain mobs that cannot be snared. Since the debuff doesn't go up, blood strike wouldn't get increased damage.

Slow/fast or fast/fast for 17/54 DW DC spam in unholy presence? Slow/fast right? (Angry Dread vs Split Greathammer in this case, but would be nice to know for future knowledge). I think all you lose some BCB procs, but when they proc they'll proc harder. And slow MH will add to random plague strike damage right?

Got 2 questions which i'd very much like to get answerd.

1. Does the Armor Ignoring effect from Blood Gorged stack together with normal Armor Penetration, or are they seperate?

2. I've seen discussions that it would be better to gem ArP instead of Str. Is it better to gem ArP instead of Str, or do you have to hit a certain percentage before it's worth changing?

Feel free to answer directly here, or just direct me to where i can find answers.

This is currently being discussed in the Frost DPS forum and the ruling is still out but personally I love it as a glyph both for tanking and for DPS as it makes for a simple rotation that is easy to carry out no mater what’s going on in the fight.
For tanking it makes for great snap agro as well. There are a few varied rotations being used but the simplest is:

Single target: HB>OB>BS>BS>OB>OB>OB weaving Frost Strikes throughout and hitting HB on procs or subbing in a HB instead of an OB to keep FF up.
AoE: HB>D&D>BB HB>OB>BB>BB and use FSs as you can.

Right now I'm running a 17/51/3 dps spec in BP with this Glyph.

Just wanted to clarify, is there no longer any demand from Death Knight's for the frostfire DoT-slow anymore since the changes to Glyph of Blood Strike?

I have a question about the DRW mechanic. It reads as "lasts 5 seconds plus 1 second per 10 runic power" and the glyph extends the duration another 5 seconds (which I have yet to find on my server btw).

So here's my question. Is there a 5 second delay before we start expending runic power to keep DRW going? And with the glyph would that give us a 10 second delay before we burn through RP to extend our DRW? I only started using a Blood spec with 3.1 for occasions when I'm not tanking so I my experience is limited as of yet and since I'm at work I can't test this myself.

Right. Nobody uses that glyph anymore.

All the RP for DRW is expended when you cast the spell. The duration isn't extended by consuming more RP the way Gargoyle is.

I'd like to get a definitive answer to the simple question:
Is HB damage > OB damage in a raid environment with 2H frost spec on single target?
Meaning: ~200dps weapon, OB glyph, all buffs, (almost) all raid buffs present, all armorlowering debuffs on enemy, +13% debuff on enemy, a.s.o..
I'm wondering, because in the Frost 2H DPS thread there are so many feasible rotations discussed, and I see rotations like
HB > OB > BS > BS > OB > OB > OB
but other rotations with HB every 10 secs, too. I know, with HB glyph and only 3 points in Unholy, HB every 10 secs has its reasons.

Last time I checked, HB was buffed for getting a 10 sec (now 8 sec), and was pretty close in damage to OB. Maybe I mix something up with KM procs, and DW spec, maybe OB was better all the time (for single target and 2H spec).

Simple question, but asked very often to be honest. I'm currently playing a Death Knight(Of course) and went with the 12/0/59 spec aka Unholy/Blood. I "personalized" it a bit, and I was wondering what others think about this. Is it good? What should I change? etc.

Here it is:
Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft
Also, for a rotation I was thinking about this: Icy Touch - Plague Strike - Blood Strike - Blood Strike - Gargoyle( if it's avalible)/UB/Death Coil
Scourge Strike 3x then death coil/ UB.

Is it good? Or should I go back in School?
