What glyphs are best as a blood DPS DK specced 51/0/20.
ATM i have the following ones.
Major
Glyph of Obliterate
Glyph of Ghoul
Glyph of Blood strike
Minor
Glyph of horn of winter
Glyph of raise dead
Glyph of Pestilience
Is there any reason in changing any of those? What are you currently using?
I use all of those besides Ghoul and raise dead (raise dead was bugged, idk if its fixed yet).
I should probably switch my icy touch glyph to ghoul but idk, you probably are using the best ones. Once I find out if raise dead is no longer bugged, I will switch my third minor glyph to it.

I use nearly the same, but instead of Ghoul I use Deathstrike glyph, because DS often saved my life when things got out of controle.
Glyph of Icy Touch is crap if you ask me, because you already have "to much" RP as a GCD caped 51 0 20 DK, so you don't need even more.
Gylph of Plaguestrike isn't worth it also, because the PS dmg is very low and you don't use it that often.
Maybe i switch to the Ghoul glyph instead of DS because it would definitly increase my dmg in fights where I can use my little rotten friend...
Hell i whish they would add a +20% dmg Deathcoil gylphe that would be awesome.
My english isn't perfect, but i hope you can understand it.
Even nerfed (and even with the significant up of the blood presence), I find the DS glyph to be still very useful for helping me to be above 75% of health
I'll share a rotation for 50/0/20+1 that I devised. It's a bit unconventional, in that it is a 15-second rotation. The main benefit it provides is to allow every single death rune to be used on HS.
Note that the rotation only needs one point in Epidemic (15-second diseases).
If you do it right, the rune usage for the 5 HS in the repeated sequence should be BBDDB.
I run the rotation in Unholy Presence in order to take full advantage of all runes, runic power, and Sudden Doom procs. I've gotten slightly better results that way on target dummies, but the prevalent view here is that Blood Presence is superior, so use your own judgment. If you do decide to go Unholy Presence, be aware that the Sudden Doom buff doesn't appear until about 1.2 seconds after a Heart Strike is used, and this doesn't provide enough time for you to make a decision on whether to cast Death Coil or Heart Strike next if you're chaining your attacks closely in Unholy Presence (1-second GCD). However, if you try to use Death Coil, then you can use the Sudden Doom proc regardless of whether it has shown up as a buff. So, my rotation with Death Coils looks like this:
IT-PS-HS-(DC)-HS-(DC)-HS-(DC)-HS-(DC)-HS-OB-(DC)
Each (DC) is an attempt to use Death Coil, and these are placed between every two adjacent HS in order to take advantage of Sudden Doom.
You can contrast this rotation with a very similar one that has been posted several times here, namely this (quoting Nam's version):
Start:
OB IT PS HS HS DC
Rotation (30 seconds):
HS HS HS HS OB DC
IT PS HS HS HS HS DC
HS HS OB IT PS DC
Both the 15-second rotation and the 30-second rotation have exactly the same number of IT (4), PS (4), HS (20), and OB (4) per minute. The 15-second rotation, though, allows dropping one point from Epidemic. It's also a bit simpler to execute once you get down the timing to get the proper BBDDB rune usage for the HSes.
I use Glyph of Icy Touch because when I use the OB first rotation, I let my diseases tick before erasing them with OB at the last second (technically they tick every 3 seconds, but I try to OB right before my first disease is about to fall off because I get to dump more Death Coils this way).
Glyph of IT is useful to get to 100 RP real quickly when all of your procs decide to go off (Fallen Crusader, Greatness and Mirror).
I'm actually curious as to whether Mirror is better than Bandit's Insignia for builds that use DRW.
I'm curious as to why so many are using IT>PS to start the rotation instead of using PS>IT for the 51/0/20? I've tried searching and I can't seem to find a solid answer.

While I'm sure it doesn't have a large bearing on the overall value of the trinket, while looking through WWS from our Sarth3D kill last night I found that DRW will go so far as to imitate the Bandit's Insignia proc. Looking over the totals for the evening it appears to hit for roughly 70-75% of the actual proc (1650 avg compared to about a 2300-2400 avg for our two DKs with the trinket). I'm not sure this would outclass the amount of damage gained through the Mirror proc but it's at least something to take note of.

I use IT before PS in the first rotation (when I run to the boss) because it has a 20 yard range, and PS is melee.
I think this is currently in the works of finding out. I know that I am going to test 51/13/7 in Naxx next week compared to my 51/0/20 numbers from this week, however I do not have sigil of awareness.
I will post my results, but as of now, I don't think there's a conclusive answer.

There's no difference between the two unless you have the PS glyph or you are specced a couple points into Frost, except for the range thing, which is irrelevant once you are in melee range.

Since not everyone is spell hit capped, especially as Blood, a missed IT hurts a lot less to start the rotation than as the 2nd ability. If the first It misses you only get pushed back 1.5~ seconds in your rotation, if it misses after your PS, your rotation can get screwed up for 15-20 seconds.
Check my pasted WWS's, it is as 51 13 7 running PS IT HS HS OB in random order, keeping diseases up and slapping oblits/HS's, however as someone mentioned, doing FU / B / FU / B is a better way with sudden death procs and what not, I did see a slight dps increase in doing so, but it shouldnt matter much if you use the SD's well.
However, I am still curious if 4pct7 is better, simply because you can get so much ArP from legs, boots, ring combined.
My damage is still without any "real" melee buffers, did another Naxx 10 as I migrated elsewhere - I am very pleased and impressed by the damage, if it is not a very high AC boss (Razuvious and possible Patch) your damage is absolutely absurd.
I took screenshots of the kills because I havent gotten around to WWS/WMO in the new guild yet, but in some scenarios it has been as drastic as this: http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/1...9164412fx6.jpg
Also, everyones beloved Patchwerk - however I did again not have any real melee buffers and dps did drop significantly towards the end, a roughly ~22 seconds faster kill would have had me at 5.2K
Hi guys im a current reader, first time poster, and im just wondering how some of you are just pumping these ridiculous amounts of dps? ive followed the threads closely, specs even closer, and the rotations with a Magnifying glass, i can't seem to break 4k dps in 25man raids, even with full raid buffs and waiting for all my trinkets to proc for my CD's(DRW, Hysteria), last night during patchwerk we bl'd within the first thirty seconds, and i broke 5050 DPS, but it just gradually fell, when we lusted again i went back up to about 5200, but by the end of the fight i was only at 3300 or so, maybe even 3200 dps. Im pretty decently geared(minus my weapon which is promised to me whenever kel decides to be nice enough again), so im just wondering if anyone could take a look at my spec/gear and see if i'm doing anything wrong.
My rotation usually starts with OB>PS>IT>HS>HS(dc around this time due to GCD)2-3 more HS's, Oblit before the diseases wearoff, and i start back at it again, i use my dc's sometimes earlier when my SD procs, any constructive critism would be nice

Your getting lower parses because your guild's raid DPS is low ( you got BL twice on patchwerk...).

Death's Bite is a great weapon, honestly. Your hit rating is awfully high. Can't see much benefit to going beyond the 8% hit requirement for specials in a raid environment. It doesn't sound like you are executing your rotation well enough. That was the trouble I had with blood. This may be due to latency or interface lag or lack of trying, I dunno. You should be getting atleast 3 HSs before your last OB and maybe 4. The goal is 4. If you can't get 4 with this spec, it's not going to stand out and your rotation gets even more sloppy as the fight wears on. This does vary, though, if there's movement involved in the fight. The more waiting around you do to OB and finish the rotation the less dps you can do. Understand that hitting every rune ability as soon as you can at every point in the rotation is the key to DK dps.
I would find a better sigil, there's no doubt you can get your hands on one. Might want to try a few of the new ones at Venture Bay, you can get them in 5 minutes. The badge one isn't bad either. Up your Blacksmithing to get 2 more gem slots.
A WWS or WMO parse would be necessary to give you more concise guidance. You are really geared. You should be killing Patchwerk faster. Where do you rank within your guild's dpsers?
Beating on the dummy the three OB rotation wins, the Blood Strike glyph may change that in a raid situation however (provided you have some kind of snare on your target). Otherwise Frost is your bes bet. I've used the Sigil of the Dark Rider for the HS-heavy rotation, Sigil of Awareness for the other two sequences. Ignore the little timer, all tests were approximately four minutes long (DRW/Hysteria used twice each test).
I was bored so I figured I'd do some testing on the dummy. I used XFire and took a video in case someone wants to watch it. I let HoW fall off a few times because I wasn't paying attention so it should probably be a little higher. I used DRW twice, IDK if recount counts that or not. Also the dummy was at 1hp so necrosis wasn't doing anything
51/0/20
OB > IT > PS > HSx6

Dark Rider is actually best for the 51/0/20 build and the Oblit > PS > IT > HSx6 rotation.
I would agree about the rotation. I got some pretty respectable DPS using it. Just make sure you are using the abilities as SOON as they are up. DC every time you get a SD proc, when you are sitting on a rune cooldown (usually after the 4th HS), and after you Oblit.
Im looking for an addon to show me when i have Mirror procc, unholy strength etc all up.
example of how i mean: "All proccs up, DRW ideal!" in a raidwarning lookalike type of message.
Any ideas people?
I would suggest you Power Auras Classic, you can find it at wow.curse. It's quite heavily customizable; being able to create various events (buffs, debuffs, lack of buffs, numbers of CPs) triggering different textures or texts that glow and fade in all kinds of ways. In it's simplest form you can just have the buff's icon appear with a timer.
Here's an example:
Notice the Unholy Strength and Mirror buff icons to the top left and top right of my character.

Yotka wrote: "So the damage from both sigils is 50% on extra damage and 50% on extra disease damage but the [Sigil of the Dark Rider] does NOT add 90 damage to HS at level 80 but 45 damage... I don't know why but it means that [Sigil of Awareness] has more value with OB*2 than the HS increase (even on a 8*HS rotation)." on page 30.
While I see people who keep saying Dark Rider is "actually better", I don't see anyone backing that up with math like Yotka did. Why would it be better than Awareness considering what Yotka said? Was he wrong? I never saw one post correcting him or showing why he was wrong in 6 pages of replies since his inital post detailing the disease-less 51/0/20 spec.
