This is just something I've been playing around with for a few hours. Don't know if I'll keep it this way or not. It depends on how functional it is. It just looks nice.

My current setup, I have tried to keep most of the timers and information down in the center as most in-game action happens there.
Having most of it centered makes it easier for me to keep track on cooldowns and at the same time keep an eye on whats going on in the game world.
I can see that some got their player frame and target frame split on the far left and far right, i don't think that is optimal at all for gathering information quickly.
Having targettarget as i have it feels for me to be the best way, as DPS I quickly notice any target change and can quickly pop Icebound Fortitude or Anti-Magic Shell if the mob is targeting me, if I'm tanking i can quickly notice if I loose aggro.
Some of you may notice that it looks like I have both blood aura and unholy, it's not, but a a fake "buff" I made with oUF to show what presence I'm in.
Important addons that are in use
MagicRunes: rune tracking
ClassTimer: for tracking player buffs and target debuffs, buffs placed below player frame (Blood Fury, DRW+) and my debuffs on the target below targettarget.
TellMeWhen: (not visible) pops up as an icon above the rune's to show when ever Death and Decay and Horn of Winter is on cooldown.
DocsSwingerclub: nifty swing timer makes it easier to track when your slow two-hander is going to hit

After trying a few different setups, I definitely prefer this location for frames.

When I originally posted my UI I didn't have a lot of time to comment on it in terms of mods used... But for the decent sized group of people who asked... I'm using MagicRunes to display runes there. Its quite flexible in terms of layout/texturing/etc. Play with the mod and come up with a setup you like!

How do you get class timer to track only your debuffs? I've configured it to track frost fever and ebon plague, but it ended up tracking everyone else's. =/

This is coming purely from memory, but there should be an option to track only your debuffs on, I believe, the bar configuration menu. If it's not there, keep lookin because I've been using classtimer for my debuffs for a while now, and haven't had any problems with it tracking other people's buffs. I'm positive I ticked an option like this when I was configuring it for myself.

I like a very simple, functional UI that doesnt look horrible either.
Mine is similar to some others in that I use Power Auras to display normal every-day things. I purposely used a few things for this screenshot to illustrate.
My current presence is is shown by highlighted runes under the MagicRunes mod using Power Auras. (i'm in Frost Presence in this pic).
The shield in the middle is Unbreakable Armor. A Snowflake is used for IBF and a Skull and Crossbones used for Lichborne. Timers for each.
The 2 trinkets activated show a shield above them pointing to which is in use (both are here). Yes, my trinkets suck.
The blue bars above my name are Killing Machine and rime, respectively.
Mods:
Bartender4
ButtonFacade Apathy
MagicRunes
Xperl
TipTac
MSBT
SexyMap
OmniCC
DBM
Quartz are the disease timers.
And our druids seem to suck in this pic.

Set the owner (under Bar Settings) to 'player'. That should solve it.

As alot of people I try and keep my information as centered as possible, I'm not entirely done yet.
A little explaination of the UI and mods used:
PAC: The skulls are Blood Plague and Frost fever, Half circle is KM proc. The Crossed swords are the Crusader and Mirror procs. I got a few more when in raids and different specs, E.g one when UB isn't up in raids and one for when Horn isn't up.
Rune monitor is Yurys Rune Display.
Quartz for tracking my own and targets cast bar
AGuf and Dominos for character info and bars.

I, and I think others to, would be very grateful if people stopped posting the huge images directly here. Just post the link and these forums will load a zillion times faster.

Sympa UIv6
I've updated my blog with the new version of my UI as well as some information about another way to display the rune cool downs and the expanding list of buffs and debuffs we've become accustomed to using Forte warlock.

All content is still organized on the right albeit now in a more organized fashion. What I am really interested in though is playing with forte and using it for displayed rune cool downs and buffs/debuffs. What I still feel I need to get working on is creating a hierchy of content. I'll be playing with using a grid system to lay it out more. More on this at 6.

Looks nice, but I don't like the concept. First, I like to know what's next to my character. Maybe it's a voidzone or something I have to target. The corners and the bottom aren't used and therefore perfect for UI elements.
Then you have almost every information condensed into one block. Not everything is equally important. Pet- and hotbars can safely be at the bottom. The chat isn't needed in combat, provided you have SCT. Recount is also distracting. With all those similar bars all under each other it's hard to make out important ones with a quick glance.
Most of the fancy UI's I've tried aren't good for raiding. A plain, not too overly simplified UI has proven to be the best, at least for me.

When I make my UIs I have several things in mind. - Centralisation. I need stuff around my character. That includes debuffs (under my char's feet), unitframes (left and right of my char), procs and damage, etc.
- Minimalistic. No fancy shit. Besides auras, castbars and several small tweaks my Unit Frames are almost default Pitbull. They do the trick. That's my definition of minimalistic. I know a lot of people define it as how much screen estate can I gain by making all my information as tiny as possible, that doesn't work for me while I'm tanking. I need to see everything fast and clearly.
- Important information is shown not always only once. I have debuffs as a critical message in my Parrot setup. Then I have EBB showing debuffs right below my characters feet. Then I have debuffs on the right top corner. I have two disease trackers.
- Keep it to a minimum, while being enjoyable to watch is what I have stickied on my LCD with a post-it. My screen isn't cluttered even though I raidlead and very often maintank. I need a LOT of information to guide my raids properly, while playing a fairly complex class to boot. That's not easy if your UI isn't functional. I believe mine is.

I've maintained a "feature-rich" UI for the last year and some change. It's playable by pretty much any class in pretty much any capacity (PvE, BG's, Arena, Questing) but I've been playing my DK on it more than any of my other toons. Here's a link with the full mod list, description, download:

For the record, I'm an avid user of Arkive's UI. It's not minimalist by any means... and I only recommend use if you have a good computer. But with some minor tweaks (disabling a few mods I don't use/like, and including runewatch/gladius), I've made Arkive my UI of choice since WOTLK.

Similar concept to what many people use. The basic template is from Alekk's UI. I only use the built-in xperl buffs/debuffs for pvp. Otherwise they're disabled in raids.
Classtimer- monitors diseases/buffs/procs
Magicrunes- Rune addon in the middle
kgpanels
bartender
xperl unit frames
acb (cast bars)
eavesdrop (combat log)

Arkive what resolution do you suggest to use with your ui pack? I am limited to 1280x1024 right now till I get a new lcd. I have an old acer 19inch 3ms response time gaming panel from before the higher resolutions. I don't have the money for a new panel so want to stick with it for now and just want to see what size your ui was made for to see if I can fit it in.

My UI supports 1.6, 1.3 and 1.25 aspect ratios (there's a WTF folder for each aspect ratio)...so pretty much every res except HD displays (which I'll probably add in the coming months) is supported. Once you rename the appropriate account/character folders, open the game, set your video res, login, and a small mod I wrote will open the first time you login. Just click the button that corresponds to your class and it will load all the apprioriate settings/profiles for mods that don't support account-wide settings...and you're done.
