Awesome, I will have to try it tonight in naxx. Quick questions though, I looked through the list of mods. What run mod is that using because I didn't see it named. I have been using magic runes and really like it so was curious to see which your using and its settings or if I would disable it for magic runes.

It's the rune module from IceHUD. You can go into IceHUd's options and turn it off if you like to add in your own mod for runes.

hi,
i am no great writer, so you might don´t know me, but i would like to use the opportunity of this Thread to share my idea of a UI with you. To me working on the UI is one of the most fun things about WoW and i allways try to have some concepts in mine, this is the newest first version (did it this morning).
I tried to focus the most important informations (from a tank perspective) at one centric point of the screen aka at the left of my Char, there you find HP,RP, Rune CDs (simple rune bar), RS usability, Disease tracking of the target (with Classtimer) and the most important cooldowns (IBF, AMS, VB...).On the right, the classic target and target of target.
at the bottom are the most important cooldowns in 2 Bartender Bars, with used Shortcuts on hidden bars, above this there are Debuff-Bars (not showing here, because the Targetdummy is to sucky to wound me!)
I am tracking some minor things with PowerAuras like Suddendoom Procs (green Flame in front) and the missing of HoW is shown as a blinking snowflake on the left "Hud"
maybe you have some ideas for more improvements or, as i hope, my UI gives you new ideas for your own.

I just want to say big ups to Sympa, I installed your UI last night and it looks great. I had to scale it up alot though and modify most things to fit my 1440x900 resolution but it still looks nice.
Continue to work and release your UI. It is well appreciated!

Here's mine.
The big things are the runes (courtesy of MagicRune) which I have centered in my screen so I can easily track them. Diseases are displayed in the top middle of my screen using Need to Know. Finally, I have an (unseen) enemy castbar immediately below the disease display and a cooldown timer (also unshown) at the bottom middle of my screen (I use Forte Warlock).

That's mine. I will fill you in if you cared enough.
Cheers
Edit:
Okay, let me complete this.
Addons:
- ag_unitframe
- Atlas
- AtlasLoot
- Autobar (fading out if inactive)
- Bartender + cyCircled
- Carbonite2 + Questhelper (just to mention)
- Elk Buffbars
- kgpanels
- NeedToKnow and SimpleRunes
- Omen
- Powerauras (bull + time = how, sword = rune strike, totem = sudden doom)
- Prat
- Recount
- simpleMinimap
- Titanpanel
Addons not visible:
- Align
- All XLoot addons (group, monitor etc)
- Deadly Boss Mod
- MSBT
- OmniCC
- Onebag (for simplicity)
- RatingBuster
- Quartz (player's castbar above that diseases and rune thingy, target's castbar below its frame)
That's all I know by mind for now. I might edit this post later since I am at work at the moment.

Then you have almost every information condensed into one block. Not everything is equally important. Pet- and hotbars can safely be at the bottom. The chat isn't needed in combat, provided you have SCT. Recount is also distracting. With all those similar bars all under each other it's hard to make out important ones with a quick glance.
Most of the fancy UI's I've tried aren't good for raiding. A plain, not too overly simplified UI has proven to be the best, at least for me.

Just wanted to address some of the things mentioned in this post. I've posted this to my blog but I'll repost here. The problem I have with the default UI and with many other UI's is that content is splayed across the screen often spanning all sides of the screen. Couple this with raid addons like bigwigs/dbm and omen and your looking at about 80% of your screen all the time. It's just too much information all over the place unless you are working with a relatively small screen resolution.
To circumvent the issue I designed a hierarchy of content. The only real important content listed is in a single vertical column toward the center of the screen and is organized as follows:Abilities>Pet>Player>ToT>Target>Runes>Buffs/Debuffs. By establishing a hierarchy of content it makes the information more easily read at a glance. Separating frames just spreads the amount of screen-space your eye has to pan to find what its looking for, again at a small screen size there is less space to pan and it is less of a problem.
The point has been mentioned before that my method of organizing content can create a slight blind spot. However all the frames have an 85% alpha as well as being "modular" so that you can see behind them. I've never really had a problem with them. Although in previous versions of the UI I have left the chat panes on the left rather than organizing them with the content column on the right.
Hope this clarifies the concept of the design.

One question on your UI Sympa. Are any of the frames click-through-able?
I have set up a very similar vertical array of information, as I mentioned earlier, but the problem I have is that although I have it set up such that it isn't a total blind spot (some lowered alphas, some spacing between bars, etc.) I often have to rotate my camera around to do something I need to. Most often this is placing a DnD in the area covered by my UI, which is just a pain.
Have you encountered this issue at all?

I havn't really encountered this issue but it may just be a result of the placement of your frames. If you are using kg panels make sure you have them set to background for their level so they do not intercept mouse clicks. Beyond that I can only recommend panning your camera via left mouse click and then hitting dnd.

I should really get around to posting a pic of it someday, though it isn't really impressive.
The block of info is composed of DoTimer, Magicrunes, and TellMeWhen. The main issue is that MagicRunes sits directly to my character's left, next to my IceHud health bar (So I can see if I am taking damage that I shouldn't be) and it does not appear to have any click-through option.
I do get around it by rotating and DnDing, it can just result in a 2-5 second delay due to camera clipping. Nothing like rotating your camera and having it bounce around behind some random thing hanging from the ceiling in Naxx. Also there is the issue that you have to hold left-click to turn the camera, which will drop your DnD if you have it selected, so half the time I end up wasting time cancelling it and then retargeting.
I think I will give your UI a try next week. It looks very sexy

WoW AddOns - Acherus Runes - WowAce.com
icons mode, text mode, bar mode. different customizable Runes graphics (it's a easy to edit .TGA), etc, etc.
every mode is highly customizable ofc.
i for one switched to it.

that's pure icon mode with some fading + animation and DKI rune set (the unitframe is PB4).

Does anyone know of an rune add-on out there in which you can configure the runes to also act like buttons? Of course, it would only really be useful if you could configure each rune for a specific strike, but you probably understand the point...
For the most part, I use key bindings for my strikes, but I was thinking that having a rune program where the rune would "light up" and I could then click it to activate a particular strike would be a useful thing.
Maybe it can't be done with current UI parameters or maybe I'm the only one that thinks that would be handy, but I've never seen it...
First time poster, btw - be gentle!

Here's my new one that I rebuilt a few weeks ago. I wanted to shrink down my old one while still being able to see the same amount of information, see more of my screen & make it more aesthetically pleasing. I took my inspiration from Caith UI & Acaciaizm UI. I also use OPie for things not shown on the screen, such as Presences/Mounts. Ignore that extra blue bar after my rune bars, I have no idea why it is there.

Only ones I use specifically for my DK are Runepack (excellent addon, btw) and NeedToKnow, which tracks my diseases and UB. Usually the NTK frame is closer in, moved it out of the way for some reason.

Here is my most recent UI I have been using. Mainly centered it around localizing all the information I need to know in a central area like a lot of UI seem to do. It's pretty straight forward as far as most of the mods/layout. Omen is in the bottom left corner, however given it was a dummy I attacked to get my dots and what not up there isn't a threat list. I'll try and get a screenshot during my next instance.
There are a few things other things that don't display, mainly a bar that contains mount, professions, foods, and a couple other things. Still trying to decide if I like the numerical countdowns on the debuffs, as it can get a little distracting when you have a large number of debuffs up on a boss.
Any questions, comments, or ideas feel free to ask/post.

It's all Sympa's UI, but I re-arranged almost everything to suit me because blocking out a large portion of an important part of the screen really wasn't working out for me. It's still something i'm working on. The player buffs/debuffs need to go somewhere decent (classtimer player buffs are above magicrunes but no KM/Rime procs are active to see.)
Thanks to Sympa for your UI. I really like it, but just not in the position it was
(Yes I know my dps is terrible, i'm usually tanking )

DK UI, Heres mine.

Heres my UI
The usual bunch of add-ons: titan, xperl, omen, recount, bartender, magic runes, and kgpanels for the art. graphics off the WoW fansite kit. put together in photoshop by me.
That bar on top of the main action-bar set is for emergencies and the professions and first aid stuff is on a bar on the right thats visible on mouse-over.
The bottom part is kinda see through though it doesn't look so in this particular screenshot.

Thought Id try Here
Thought I'd try here for a DK mod or mods Im looking for. I'm looking for a mod that's movable and relatively small that I can position to show my Frost Fever and Blood plague durations, as well as shows my blade barrier duration.
I keep my Unit frames at the top, so I'm looking for a mod or mods which I can keep these buffs/debuffs at eye level so I can refresh them all a little better.
