With Ruby Sanctum out for quite some time now, I was hoping to see the new items implemented in the simulator. Especially the trinket, I want to see how big of an upgrade it is compared to other items.

Don't worry. It will be soon out. I'm just cursing wowhead because they have changed their item list display.
I also want to annonce that this will probably the last update on the hard client. The cataclism version will be only available using the silverlight client, that is already faster in siming and I hope will be easier to support.
By the way, I'm still hungry of feedback regarding it.

The silverlight client will have all of the features of the hard client before you make it exclusive right? As it stands now I still prefer the exe version because of how incomplete the silverlight version feels (I use armory import alot, heh)
Other than the feature disparity I've found the Silverlight version to be quite nice, I was initially scared when you announced it because of how much I dislike the new version of Rawr but this one works very well.

Sadly, the main issue I have with the Silverlight version is Armory import. For security reason, Microsoft disallow getting informations from some site if the app can't get some sort of certificate. I'm trying to find a workaround. The only way right now to do it, would be for the user to go to his armory, copy the source of the displayed page and paste it in a screen of the app for computing. I know it's not very nice, but that could be a temporary band aid.

I guess you could try to explicitly use the ClientHTTP stack to make the requests which doesn't have any limitations.

Found something interesting, I entered all the new RS items into the sim, save the trinket, and I found one interesting thing. It looks like the leather bracers are ~100 downgrade despite what DK optimize reports. I am not sure why the discrepancy. Simmed with the ICC 25% buff. And I've double, triple checked my item entries.

Using the 2H-ICC pre made I get 15.891 DPS and if I replace Boots, bracers and the hand enchant: 15.999 DPS. I don't know why our results have some difference except if you forgot to change the hand enchant.
Anyway, the long awaited new version of the sim is ready for release:

I have updated the Item Database because it was lacking of the socket bonus on the Penumbra Pendant. You may want to re-download the package and just overwrite the file ./gearselector/itemDB.xml.

I'm wondering how average MainHand damage is being calculated here. It seems to me that if my average hit was 3066.9, average crit 6307.7, and average glance was 2148.3 then my average damage should be somewhere in the area of 3066.9*0.241 + 6307.7*0.36 + 2148.3*0.248 = 3542.7, though probably not exactly. The reported value of 5894.2 seems way too high. Am I misinterpreting something here?

It looks like you are right. There average seems to omit the glances. The good news is that it's just a display issue. The overall result is still correct.

It seems that the Silverlight version doesn't run a simulation. There's nothing in the progress bar, and nothing happens no matter how long I wait.

Did you choose a scenario? The bar don't update if you don't select a scenario first (don't ask me why). Do your processor seems to work? The sim should use at least 1 core of your machine.

Update: problem solved after randomly hitting buttons "Change RNG seed", "Start EP" and "Show last report" (in this exact sequence). The program behaves normally since then.

Being fairly new into the world of simcraft I'm stumbling on some problems that are probably really easy to avoid. When I do a QuickDPS test how exactly is the expertise capped calculated? I can tell from the OP it's a pretty difficult calculation, but I can't seem to understand it properly. For example, I run a DW Frost setup, if I run a setup with 11 expertise (+5 from TS) I get more dps then if I run a setup with 21 expertise (+5) so that means the cap. How exactly does this work?  Surely not being capped shouldn't grant more dps then actually being expertise capped.. The 16 expertise setup runs with 277 Winding Sheet, if I switch it out for Might of the Ocean Serpent + an expertise Dragon Eye gem I lose quite some dps while being expertise capped.
I'm sorry if this been asked before, but I'd love to hear what I'm overlooking here.

By changing Winding Sheet(H) and a 32 Strength gem to a Might of the Ocean and a 32 expertise gem you lose 55 STR, 68 Crit and 60 Haste to gain 77 Exp and 65 ArP. I'm not surprise that you lose some dps on the road. Not being caped is a dps loss, taking some gear of the previous tier to reach it may be a superior loss.
My tip would be to generate EP value of your character and run the Zerack's DK Gear Optimizer (available in the DK forum) it will calculate for you all possible combination and give you the result of how you should equip to reach the best dps.

I think I found a bug with the Silverlight version. My browser froze up when I tried to get EP with the generator while using Firefox. Then when I tried again using Chrome a weird puzzle piece popped up.
Also, gargoyle wasn't showing up in the breakdown when I was simulating my unholy dps. Bone Shield isn't being properly refreshed by the sim also according to the report.

I have a problem with the Silverlight version not entirely showing on my screen. My screen resolution is 1024 x 768 so I'm sure that's the reason, but I just thought I'd chime in and let you know that it makes it a little hard to use when any option at the very top or very bottom of the UI are either unable to be read or clicked. I can't change tabs, for instance.
