I'm not sure on the exact proc rates of some things and what previously would proc off of debuff application. I can only assume you are referring to things like FC and maybe trinkets?
After taking a quick glance at the logs I previously posted, I do see a staggering 30% difference in FC uptime in favor of pre-patch. So its a possibility I suppose, but I don't have the time right this minute to look into it further.
ArPen just overtook strength on my latest EP run. I only have 566 ArPen, it seems a little early for this to be happening? I'm using the standard unholy single target reaping spec with 2 points from dark conviction shifted into morbidity. I'm using a 2 runeset disease twisting rotation for the sim, but if anything this should favor strength more. Could there be a bug in the sim? Possibly with long rotations? Here are the associated outputs >>
Frostx, arp pulled ahead of strength for me at about the 550 mark also. I was wearing 2 piece t9 and 2 piece t10 with Shadow's Edge at the time. Re-gemming arp in my sockets made the stat even stronger and helped me get a 9812 dps on Festergut 10 man.
I am sure we need more people getting EP weight values, but I think that with about 550 arp and around half ICC gear arp may overtake strength as a stat for blood. Of course every individual must do his own calculations to find the exact tipping point.
Edit: Just noticed you are unholy. Every time I run an unholy build with my gear, both before and after I re-gemmed arp, strength was way ahead of arp.
I think the bug lies with dual Death Verdicts. I changed the normal DV to normal DWill (and updated the AP and ArP accordingly) to test and strength was ahead of ArP as usual (with even more ArP than dual DV).
The ring is there, just look at the lower right of the character edit screen.
As for your first question, when it says "unbuffed and untalented" what it means is make sure you have 0 buffs on when you are looking at your stats to input. Also, if any of your talents affect your stats (e.g. Ravenous Dead) make sure to edit them appropriately. The OP shows how to do this (for the above case, just take your Strength and divide by 1.03, and that new number is what you input into the sim for Strength). You do not need to respec in order to input your stats, just understand that when you run the sim, it takes into account your talents, as well as your stats, to come up with your DPS meaning if you hadn't edited your Strength as above, it would do an additional 3% on top of that number (which already includes the 3% from talents).
I've tried to find where it shows how to do this, I wanna be sure not to forget anything... and I didnt (how amazing ><).
I admit I didnt read the full thread, I just can't find the time to do this
A friend told me that some soft could help me : a tool that will extract your character from armory and calculate your base stats from it, but he couldn't remember the name of this soft. What could it be ?
Thanks, but it is not this tool - which seems to simply copy the numbers from my armory : there is a lot of stuff too complicate for me, but copying numbers, that I can do :p
The problem is still the same : understanding how to correct the stats if they need to be untalented. There is a lot of stats modified by my talent tree, especially crits numbers, and that's not simple for me. I still can't find where "the OP shows how to do this", and even if I find it, I think it will be too much pain to calculate all that stuff for any new loot I got.
The warcrafter could be a good option : it extracts my char from armory and I can then reset the talents, although some stats seem to be missing (haste rating for example).
Why does it seem obvious to everyone ? Do you all guys just recalculate all your stats UNTALENTED each time you got a new loot ? :/
I was wondering if the new Bryntroll proc nerf is already considered in the newest version of the simulator. Mainly need to know about HC Bryntroll since its dropped from the first boss and kinda easy to get.
