I am copying a question regarding frost and kahorie simulator here, hoping that it would be a better place to find the reason.
I was playing with hit and there is something that I dont understand.
First I was testing with GoIT and not GoD; second I was replacing crit by hit (since if I want more hit I would replace my +10str/+10crit gem by some +10str/+10hit).
From 164 to 263 hit my dps was increasing but after that up to 288, I was loosing dps.
If I am not mistaken as frost our melee hit cap should be at 164 (5% + 3% from talent) so from 164 to 285 it should be only spell hit (and white hit up to 24%), so why is there still a difference between 263 and 288?
Is the simulator wrong or am I missing something?

The same is happening to me. Using GoIT and adding hit above 5% required for melee special hit at the cost of haste and or crit is showing a dps increase. However according to all EP values given for spell hit this should not be happening, this would suggest it is not taking into account NoCS.
