Hi had a quick question about the sim itself i tryed using the new cata version and i cant seem to get it to report for some reason the error msg i keep getting in my console is as follow

was wondering if anybody else was getting the same problem? is silverlight or just the sim it self. Any help would be appricated

Simmed with full 264 gear, full raid buffs/debuffs. Str food/AP flask. ICC buff set to 30%.

Just noticed that the headers don't match up, guess that's a bug. Oblit MH average hit is 11020, crit 22533. OH hit 6873 crit 16309.

Those numbers do not match up with what I've seen on my own world of logs parses, or even parses of players in 277 gear. I cannot figure out why the simulator says my obliterates should be hitting way harder than they do. On tonight's saurfang, my average oblit hit for 8.86k and crit for 18.35k.

Looking in obliterate.vb I found
19: BaseDamage = 584 * 160 / 100
22: Coeficient = 1.6

Which does not match the in-game tooltip of 280% + 3293. Of course, that would make my obliterates sim for less, not more. So, what am I missing?

I wonder why you click on the "clean up" button when you try to sim.

The glyph of obliterate is still listed as a +25% bonus in Glyph of Obliterate - Spells - Sigrie
Is that still correct? Because You 280% damage would be 160% (base) x 1.45 (Annihilation) x 1.207 (glyph). That would explain an high obliterate. I need to check in game.

I took a look at your WoL (hope you don't mind) World of Logs - Real Time Raid Analysis

Your Average OB hit: 9282 and Crit: 19062
With the correct glyph I would give you 10579 average hit and 21631, that would still be too high. However I see you didn't had a Strength buff from your DBW which lower your average compared to mine. Except that buff/debuff uptime seems correct on your parse.

Glyph of Obliterate is now 20%. Also, I tried swapping out that Glyph and my tool-tip was unaffected.

With the correct glyph I would give you 10579 average hit and 21631
24: If sim.Character.Glyph("Obliterate") Then Multiplicator = Multiplicator * 1.25

That should be 1.2, yeah, missed that when I looked over the code earlier.

I don't know if this has been mentioned but racial expertise (orcs) isn't +5 anymore, it's +3. Also, have you looked into the possibility of the lowered exp cap?

Just used the online version now. DK unholy talent Contagion is incorrect, it is 2 points. Sim has it as 3 points.

I just ran the talent EP for my Unholy using the Silverlight client, and it gave 0 value to Dark Transformation, and a negative value for Epidemic. Dark Transformation is also not available in priority builder. This suggests that the simulation is not popping Dark Transformation.

I've seen a lot of people mentioning their ghouls dying and whatnot. Wouldn't it be a better dps choice in the long run to shoot a DC at your ghoul when it starts to get to low hp when the free one procs, rather than letting the ghoul die? I can't remember if you still get a transformation charge from it if you heal it with DC, but if it's free you aren't expending RP, and you can still use the saved RP to DC the target in case you don't, so while you might lose out a little on immediate DPS, you'd gain more in the long run from keeping your ghoul alive?

Did you look into the Unholy filter in the priority editor?

Hello Afabar,

There seems to be something wrong with melee attacks for DW. I'm getting about 50% miss on mainhand and offhand melee attacks in the reports and it shouldn't be that high. I don't think it is factoring in Nerves of Cold Steel talent.

With the following stat summary:
Hit rating (5.40%) 166
Expertise Rating (22.88) 176

Mainhand Hits: 65,704
Mainhand miss: 53,974
Offhand Hits: 65,656
Offhand miss: 53,865

The special attacks are around 1% miss so I'm not worried about those, but the mainhand/offhand miss % is very high. With these same specs ingame (WoL) I'm seeing around 20% which is what the tooltip shows also.

If I manually set the hit rating to 8% (246) I see what we should see with 5% and Nerves of Cold Steel.
Mainhand Hit: 73054
Mainhand Miss: 46745
Offhand Hit: 72,996
Offhand Miss: 46,645

Finaly, if I set the expertise manually to 26 (200) and hit rating to 8% (246) I see what we should actually see in game with expertise 22 (169) and hit 5% (154).
Mainhand Hit: 75,249
Mainhand Miss: 44,596
Offhand Hit: 75,182
Offhand Miss: 44,461

I didn't updated the sim for expertise "bug", but I think you didn't take into account crit and glance in your number, that are not merged in the "hit" column.

The sim have now a Reforge Optimizer.

How to use it?
- Go to the EP tab.
- Fill with your EP value.
- Click on optimize.
- Wait for the progress bar to be filled.

Some more instructions are on the tabs.

What is not included in the optimizer and will be added by priority order:
- Do not save the EP Values.
- Do not update the EP Value when you generate EP from the sim.
- Is not able to optimize Gems and Enchants.

I have no plan to add a function to generate BiS. I will may add it one day but it's a long and hard work I don't have time to.

I'm getting some unexpected results with the new reforging tool as unholy. It is reporting that I should forge off crit on my helm / shoulder / cape / chest and weapon and replace it with mastery. In addition it is suggesting that I forge off crit on my sigil / ring legs and belt in favor of expertise. I readily accept that I am very possibly over the ideal haste value on live currently so it actually makes sense that I should forge on expertise but crit for mastery?

For the Crit to Mastery, I think that it's some rest of your previous character that the optimizer did not clean when applying result. Because my optimization using your character leave it blank. I will correct that.

For the expertise, I don't see any issue. On the sigil there is haste and crit. If Expertise has an higher value before cap this is logical to reforge the crit to expertise until the cap.

Regarding Frost priorities -

I get a dps increase when I prioritize Howling Blast just above Blood Strike, which leads me to believe that in certain situations, the sim uses death runes on Blood Strike. Perhaps this occurs when a single death rune is the only rune off CD and Blood Strike is the only single rune attack listed in the priority.
