I would expect a much more heavy nerf for our ghoul (since we lose 10% damage from the nerfs for Dark Transformation/SI and another 5% from 5% lesser strength. Overall i believe there has to be something wrong when our overall dps goes up that much after those nerfs.

I suspect DC being bugged since it's going up by roughly 23% though it should be more like 12 % in my gear (10 mastery).

I can confirm your results. There is for the moment 1 big unknown that have influence on the result, Sudden Doom which is on PPM. I have implemented it at 2 PPM per point waiting I have more information about it, but it seems to be twice as what we get on live. More Death Coil means higher uptime of Runic Corruption and faster Dark Transformation too.
In this regards I have updated the sim to only have 1 ppm per point. That might be closer of what Blizzard will do, but I still get a bettter dps with the PTR configuration.

The other incertitude I have is if the Scourge Strike magical part going from 12 to 18% per disease is an tooltip hotfix or a real up of the ability. For the moment in the sim SS is 12% for live version and 18% for 4.0.6, Which might make the difference.

I can confirm this is a real fix, and not a tooltip hotfix. On live, with glyph of scourge strike, the shadow portion will hit for 0.62 of the physical portion. On PTR it will hit for 0.758 of the physical portion.

Also:

Sudden doom is broken and does not proc, so I was unable to test PPM.

Scourge Strike (Shadow) is unaffected by mastery ( bug ? )

Death and Decay matches the expected result of being multiplied by mastery exactly.

Blood Plague and Death Coil are both pretty close, but still off what I would expect in my testing, so something about those two works differently than a flat multiplier of the mastery percentage.

If you know what it is, or can figure it out from my test results I'd be very happy !

Death Coil :

20% mastery (naked) - 2568
24% mastery (naked with mastery trinket ) - 2663
-
27% mastery (full gear) - 7412
32% mastery (full gear with mastery trinket ) - 7672

Blood Plague :

20% mastery - 173
24% mastery - 179.5
-
27% mastery - 1636
32% mastery - 1694

looks like Ive also got problems with the stats after optimizing the reforging.

Those are the values I used:

Strength: 3,1
Hit: 1,65 after cap: 0
Haste: 1,1
Crit: 0,8
Mastery: 0,32
Expertise: 0 after cap: 0

After optimizing, the tool said I should have 962 hit, but after reforging ingame I ended up with only 862.
I can check up the other stats if that is with any interest to you.

Many thank for the full output.

I think I have found where the issue is. The trinket Right Eye of Rajh should not be reforged. In the xml, there is From hit to Haste with a value 0. This should be empty.

I have now to find a way for this to not append anymore.

Virulence doesn't work as expected for Frost; diseases do the same damage with 0 points in Virulence or 3 points in Virulence.

The version I've use is 'Last update: 11/01/15 12:12:05 PM'

This error in hit can also come from a fact that I have recently found, if the reforge optimizer runs, and it sees something that previously had a reforge on it needs to go to no reforge at all, it doesn't show that upon update, the stats are correct; however, it still shows the item is reforged in the character section.

Once I realized this, I always remove reforges from all items before running the optimizer, I haven't had a problem since.

Using the reforge optimizer with the 4.0.1 stat weights for unholy, and a hit cap of 961 and a value of 0 over the cap, it always seems to tell me to use about 100 more hit rating than I actually need to. With several options for getting that figure closer to the cap. I can't seem to figure out why! Is it related to the above posts about removing reforges before running the optimizer?

Edit: Seems that it is, removing reforges before running it seems to fix it!

I'd suggest a better system for telling you what needs to be changed could save a lot of time. Perhaps re-compare the optimized results to the armory and tell you what you need to change. Or even just a display you can look at or list-view showing what needs to be reforged to what.

Great addition to the tool though.

Edit2: Oh, something else strange though. Even using the un-reforge-everything fix.. it still leaves my [Heart of Rage] totally unreforged. With haste and hit being of higher value than expertise, why would this do so? There is no circumstance where you wouldn't reforge it to one of the two, optimally. Another strange bug perhaps?

Should the order be:

Setup the character -> Get EP Values -> Do the Reforger according to those EP values it gives me -> Run Sim?

Realized after I let me guildies go that 3 were crits and 1 was not - but that should not matter.

To me, this says Rage of Rivendare is counted for the shadow portion too.

No glyph:
(.12*3)*(1.45) = 0.522
Glyphed:
(.12*3)*(1.45+.3) = 0.63

Expected would be Earth and Moon, CoE, Master Poisoner, and Ebon Plague to bring these to:

I've noticed that the gem list now has Agility gems and is missing a bunch of Str/Secondary stat gems that it used to have. I've tried Clearing all data but the list still come up the same. Also some enchants are missing like +15 stats to chest along with some Mastery enchants not even having any rating tied to them (example would be Enchant Boots - Mastery).

Outside of that which isn't a huge issue I just wanted to thank you the continual work you've done to provide a resource like this for the DK community.

optimize

I recognize that this is a simulator and therefore a tester of what you had planned to do. But i am just starting out with this stat maximizing and stuffs and i was wondering if there is or is ever going to be a way to mae the simulator tell you what would be the best reforging to do or the best enchants/gems to have, I know it has the optimize button, but that doesn't really help me too much since i don't really know what it does, haven't been able to find the readme. I don't know if this is possible, and if it isn't can anyone please redirect me to a post where i can find this info. I've read http://elitistjerks.com/f72/t110296-..._nothing_lose/ but it's..well.. difficult, it assumes you know what you're doing before you start, which i don't. Same reason as why the optimize doesn't really work for me. I love the tool, i just want to learn wh it does what it does.

Thx in advance for help, hope to get responses soon
