Where ironically only the rare 2h Frost tanking build will have Bryntroll.

I have a question about a few warning windows I'm getting when running the optimizer -

Despite having weapons and various pieces of equipment with the appropriate gems/enchants selected, I am getting warning saying those enchants/gems are not available.

I asked this in the Mage area (originally for my mage character), but since I have screenshots for my DK, figured it's more appropriate to ask and post them here. Plus the guy there seemed to take offense at me asking about these warnings, so hopefully someone here is a bit more helpful

Here are the screenshots of me selecting the weapon, and as you can see the proper enchants are on it. When I run the optimizer, it will tell me that I do not have a Main Hand Enchant selected. The warning after THAT will tell me that "Nightmare Tear", "Rigid King's Amber," and "Rune of the Fallen Crusader" are not available.

Those items are properly selected as well.

I'm not claiming the app is busted, I'm just wondering if I'm doing something wrong. I've read through the documentation a few times, but still remain confused as to whether I'm doing something wrong, or what!

In the comparison pane, change slot from gear: to enchants:, go to main hand enchants, and enable rune of the fallen crusader. Repeating this for the gems should fix things for you.

I think so. Rawr undervalued it before (due to not knowing about the hidden melee attacks), so now it is closer to the true dps.

Yeah, Bryntroll was going to require special handling, but now it should be mostly right as-is.

In other news, I'm completely redesigning how the module handles numbers of abilities used, rotations, death runes, and procs, with future intent to implement partial AOE situations, running around situations, and all that fun stuff. Performance (in terms of time) will take a hit, but model accuracy will much, much better. At least, that's the plan.

Shouldn't Abom's Might, Ebon Plaguebringer, and Improved Icy talons buffs behave the same way then? (e.g. not double-counting it if you are specced into it)

Also, in all the other threads and sims that I have run, 2H Unholy is 1-1.5k DPS higher than any DW Frost spec. Yet in RAWR - DW Frost always shows 500-600 DPS higher with the correct spec, glyphs, runes, and rotations selected. Any ideas?

Reaping vs. Non-Reaping Builds in Rawr

So I'm trying to determine if it's time for me to switch to a reaping build, however RAWR is making that a bit difficult for me atm. After looking at the default Unholy rotation, I noticed that it automatically assumes that I'm using a Reaping build, due to the 4 SS's and 2 BS's listed. Now, I tried making a custom rotation, that is 21 seconds long, with 4 BS's and 3 SS's, which is what a non-reaping build would call for. But this drops my dps regardless of my gear etc, so I don't think the custom rotation is giving me accurate results either.

How is everyone else testing Reaping vs Non-Reaping builds using RAWR?

@Frost: There's a pretty significant bug in frost DPS currently; I expect it to be fixed in the next release. Tundra Stalker was being double-counted for some abilities, resulting in drastically inflated damage.

@Reaping/non-reaping: The new priorities system will completely solve this issue, and is indeed one of the driving factors for the change.

The Sigil of the Hanged Man looks like it has twice the number of effects it really has. 3x73 Strength (ScourgeStrikeHit) is listed twice so Rawr is assuming it is giving 438 strength rather then 219 strength (Obliterate and Death Strike are similar).

Just right click on the Sigil and refresh it from the Armory, and then you should only see one set of str buffs, and not 2.

If any DPS DKs happen to be using the SVN version, make sure to check out the code I checked in earlier today, as it is a near-complete overhaul of the module's calculations. Also, note that the existing rotation system and dialog box, while still visible, is pretty much completely detached from the module; the only module-specific options that are still relevant are fight duration, ghoul uptime, bloodworms uptime, and ghoul usage. It's still rather rough around the edges, but any bugs that get pointed out now can get swatted before the revamp actually gets released.

I obtained a profile through the optimizer that gives very negative (-25) results for hit and expertise even though neither are at the cap.

If you swap between the 277 and 264 DBW on that profile, the hit/expertise rating under relative stat value jump from -25 to 25.

After switching weapons, the problem almost goes away. If you continue to switch between the 277 and 264 DBW, the value of hit and expertise are nearly double with the 264 version.

Is it only me or does Rawr shows wrong numbers with some imports... Specially DK
It shows i have 2831 STR (WITHOUT BUFFS) while i only have 2173.
Or is their still something i'm overlooking. Cause I wanne use Rawr to easy calculate stats for Kahorie's DK Simulator

I believe it averages procs and adds those in the character stat panel. You're probably seeing runeforge + sigil + trinket added on.

Not currently. In the near future (not next release), the stats display will be clarified to display raid buffed stats, averaged stats, and maximum procs/uses stats.
@daia, that link does not seem to point to any file. Can you zip it and post it as an attachment in this thread, send it to me in a PM, or post it on our codeplex issue tracker (Rawr - Issue Tracker)?

Is it just me or is the gear comparison list all messed up in 2.3.6?
For example the Frost emblems cloak "Might of the Ocean Serpent" went from top spot (2.3.5) to 15th in 2.3.6.
Another point, when im trying to change the unholy rotation from 4 SS and 2 BS, which is a reaping build, to a non reaping build with 3 SS and 4 BS, the rotation doesnt get saved.
Is there a possibility to add Shadow's Edge in the weapon list?

Back to 2.3.5 for the moment

2.3.6 is up, and with it, rotations are gone. The model now calculates ability usage based on priority systems which reflect the commonly-accepted priority systems/rotations for the three trees, and it selects between these priority systems accordingly; the rotation viewer is now obsolete (although, if you open it, set it to custom, close it, and open it again, you can probably see what abilities are being used, you just can't change any of it). This means reaping/non-reaping rotations are calculated automatically, as well as glyph of SS, glyph of disease, death rune mastery, blood of the north, and epidemic. Talent point weighting on death rune talents is a bit funky - the system does not attempt to adjust to systems with less than 100% chance to create death runes, as it would be computationally impractical, so in the talents comparison chart, reaping will likely have no value if you have zero points in it, but will suddenly have some realistic value if you have two points (the value of speccing that third point in) or three points (the value of having 3 points in).

@Lotuzz: your character on the armory is about 4 expertise over the cap, which is nearly all the expertise on that cape; it doesn't seem unreasonable to me for it to not currently be your best-in-slot cape, as it does not currently serve your stats as well it could.

I've always found the rotation detail dialog peculiar and odd and now it is even more so. I get 700+ dps swings opening and closing it, or clicking and unclicking "use ghoul on cooldown." If I open and close it, I get the lower number, until I re-equip and item, at which time it jumps to the higher dps value. In my case, the lower dps value is ~9150 (which agrees with simcraft) and the upper is ~9800 (which agrees with nothing). The lower seems legit but when equipping items makes for a big change, I wonder which exactly rawr thinks is the right number. Likewise, talent changes make it pop up to the higher number. Anything that can be done to make the numbers consistent and improve the UI would be a tremendous help in gaining faith in the numbers it presents.

Easiest solution: stop opening the rotation dialog, it's obsolete.

Your post said to open it to view rotation details. Which number should be trusted, the higher or lower? That is my point -- it is buggy and confusing. Why not just remove the rotation button altogether if it is that useless?

Hey, I'm using an Unholy spec /w Glyph of Disease, but both the rotation viewer and DPS breakdown list still show a non-GoD priority with IT and PS being used every 20sec and no Pestilence. Is there something else I need to do to get it to use 5 SS, 1 BS, 1 Pest every 20sec, or is it actually working correctly? This is with version 2.3.6.

The v2.3.6 Release is extremely slow, at least whenever you modify or access any gear parameter. There's literally a 30-45 sec load time to each action you do, which sadly makes this release unusable for me at the moment. I've tried it on several Computers, so it's pointing out to be a Software side issue. Also the i251 T10 gear is nowhere to be found.
