I've been looking at the quantity of threads, posts, and responses to posts and boomkins seem to be getting very little attention. Is that because they are not favored for PVE or PVP this expansion, or is it just a spec/class that is rarely played regardless?

At least for 10 man raiding a Moonkin is good. Viable dmg with good raidbuffs (5% haste and 8% debuff) and a innervate for the healers - plus battlerezz if you don't have another druid.

For PvP I don't know, and for 25 man raids: you can get the raid buffs easier, but I think a Moonkin is still a good range-dps at all too.

Im a tad interested in the Lunar shower talent.
In the guide it says its a must have for PvE. Am i totally lost? Because it seems to me as a pure PvP talent.

1st thing you see is 3x moonkins there....even Xaar, their resto druid is moonkin (and topping the charts in the beginning)

So yeah, it's pretty good :P

Looking at the stratfu class DPS rankings (taken from World of Logs top 200 parses) Boomkins are listed on average #8, best is #4 (Twilight Ascendant Council) and worst #15 (Halfus, Al'akir) so I would say that for normal difficulty we're decent (not enough logs uploaded for heroic encounters yet).

Damage and mana cost reduction increase on one of the few instant cast damage spells we have for when we have to move as well as an increase for AoE situations (move, tab, and dot) is very well suited for PvE.

I know in the moonkin thread there was discussion about how battle rezzing was behaving.

This issue isn't about progression raiding, which is why I am posting about this here.
I wanted to ask about battle rezzing and the glyph of rebirth specfically in heroic dungeons.

In heroic dungeons the glyph of rebirth does not seem to be restoring the player to 100% health but the normal 20%. A guildie (resto druid) was experiencing the same problem. We double checked our glyphs, brezzed in Heroic Stonecore and still had the 20% health in the rez. In 25 man raids, we can rez with 100% health. I have not tried to battle rez in any tens.

I was just wondering if others were experiencing the same issue.

I just brezzed someone in a heroic dungeon, and the glyph worked.

All time it happened once, that my battlerezz brought the person back with 20% hp instead of 100. I think it was in a 5man heroic, but I really don't remember exactly. I think it's more because of "special" zones or situations than because of your character/glyphs.

With the new Enchanting recipe (+50 Int to Bracers), does this mean Tailoring+Eng will edge out LW+Eng as the two "best" professions?

Has anyone studied and made a list of which T11 boss abilities trigger Owlkin Frenzy? There are some tight dps checks in the heroic raids right now so it would be nice to have this to try to optimize specs for particular encounters. Even a non-exhaustive list would be welcome.

hi Boomkins of the world,

I've just a short question for optimizing Moonkin-dps. How do you use thorns.
I think I could remember, that in most guides there is no point with thorns in any rotation. So, how do you use them?
Makro it with every spell on the MT? Don't use ist 'cause it's not worth it?

I tried to analyze the WoL for damage done by thorns, but couldn't it find by any moonkin. Is it listed by tankdamage?

As much as I know, yes, thorns is listed as dmg from the char that has the thorns-buff. So it will be difficult to determine the "dps" value. It's about optimizing the raid, or optimizing your personal dps. If one tank has to tank more adds, as far as i know it's worth casting (for raid-dps, not personal dps).

I'm wondering if anyone has found a site that lists specific strategies for maximizing dps on a boss by boss basis.
