I was fiddling with my current gear set-up on WrathCalcs earlier, and I noticed something peculiar in regards to DPS increases and haste breakpoints. I loaded my armory, changed 3 of my pieces (shoulders to 397 boomkin, chest to 397 resto, pants to 397 boomkin), and got 33511 DPS. However, when I manually changed my haste values from 2763 to the non-NG, non-DI haste breakpoint 2776, DPS jumps to 33740 (230 DPS increase).

Should the non-NG haste breakpoint, either with or without DI, even be applicable to our DPS anymore? As far as I know, we should practically never cast dots that aren't buffed with eclipse and consequently NG, or am I missing some underlying factor here? Since 13 haste is a relatively low amount of haste, it's a bit difficult for it to account for all the extra DPS.

All other potions except Mythical Mana are missing in Consumables section potion dropdown list.

To quote Hamlet from last time the question was raised:

Also, averaging the Volcanic Int over a whole fight would defeat the purpose anyway, since the only interesting question surrounding the potion is how much you gain by stacking with certain timers. The spreadsheet's main DPS model isn't well-equipped to handle questions like that. You can still learn something by examining the scaling factors of various spells, but it's generally not worth the trouble since it's not that hard to figure out when to use your potion in the first place.
Basically: mana pots are only still in the sheet as a bit of a vestigial organ from when we could actually run out of mana, and even then it wasn't overly useful. Don't worry about pots too much, the right answer is always to pre-pot Volcanic and use Volcanic again with Heroism/Bloodlust/high damage phase.

That's coming from the Haste module that Erdluf/Hamlet added on, I'm not really sure on the mechanics of that so will let one of them comment if they're keeping up with the thread. It looks like Insect Swarm damage is the problem, possibly from the tick calculations on the Haste sheet.

As always, a bit of common sense in relation to haste breakpoints is required as this is a spreadsheet not a sim.

I've simply not got time at the moment to go through and add them all for the limited benefit they give. If you have Excel you can use the Import sheet to grab them from the MMO-C database, although you might need to edit their name in the gear sheet due to several items sharing the same name (I normally just append the ilvl to the name in that situation).

Well, I've got something somewhat coherent in place. When all was said and done I basically rebuilt the rotation model. As you can see a bunch of things aren't in yet (mana, damage breakdowns, most updated spell info), but the basic setup should be working. This is more for the people who were familiar enough with WC to want to look at the new rotation setup than for general use, although anyone can look and see how the talents and things seem to be shaping up. I'll add more commentary sometime, but just leaving here for now.

Do you want me to start populating this with any gear that shows up from beta?

Went ahead and edited some in, if you've done extra work since posting the above, Hamlet, just carry on with that version and I can copy/paste this back in later. Was mostly just to let me get started on all the level 90 stuff.

To do:

Zen Alchemist Stone proc.
New Cogwheel values.
Weapon Enchant Proc values.
Food values updated to 250/275/300.
Flask values updated to 1000.
Determine new gem values/types.
Enchant/gem IDs.
Most profession perks.

Notes:

Import & profiles are currently broken for obvious reasons, I'll update these shortly.
Relics removed.
Most procs from level 85 gear have been removed by Hamlet as he preps the sheet for MoP stuff, before anyone asks!
I've added all the unique items I could see with stats from ilvl 399 and up. Once we start getting more information on end game gear, I'll start removing lower level items.
Interestingly, it appears that all caster trinkets are being merged (i.e. DPS and healing). Great news for those of us who perform both roles. The higher level trinkets are still in placeholder form, though.
Might be an idea to put the Dragonwrath proc back in, incidentally? I know it's likely to come up early in the expansion how the proc weighs up (although the new weapons have so much spellpower I think it's unlikely to be useful).

Yeah, nice--I haven't done anything since then so that's good. I don't think you have to get into anything terribly detailed right now (nobody's going to care about gear too much until the L90 premades are around), but basically whatever you feel like. Updating all those misc bonuses like professions is good. Otherwise I'd say just clean out all the 85 items (except for the highest levels at least) and populate it with a simple list of L90 things just so there's something there.

New Incarnation. Buffs 1 Eclipse per cooldown by 25%, and buffs all output during CA by 25%.

I changed an 18 to a 12 and assumed I'd done everything correctly. So far casting DoT's twice per cycle still doesn't seem very good.

If I'm reading it right, an MF cast outside of Eclipse and NG, should have a DPET (in spreadsheet terms) of

(MFDDAver + MFMeanNUMTicks * MFTickDamage) / GCD

When I plug that in, I see a number slightly less than SelectedDPS. Of course my calculation ignores the fact that all non-cooldown DPS is a bit less than averge DPS, but still, it supports your statement.

Updated with new gear, gems, enchants and some profession bonuses.

Please note:

Armory Import *will not work*.
DPS values greatly exaggerated due to using level 85 ratings.

Not done:

Food/Flask/Elixir updated bonuses.
Most trinkets have placeholder values still.
Weapon Enchant - Windsong.
Weapon Enchant - Elemental Force.
Engineering Glove enchants.
Engineering Cogwheels.
Tailoring cloak enchants.
Inscription shoulder enchant.
Herbalism (Lifeblood) value. I think this needs to be moved over to the Haste module too?
Leatherworking wrist enchants.
Mining stamina value.
Rep Shoulder/Head enchants.

Things that will need to be looked at:

Ilvl boosting mechanism for VP upgrades.
Level 90 rating multiplier.
Target level dropdown changed.
Set bonus checks (doesn't matter until we actually get set gear).
