Ok, cool. And in general, when you say you've have an OO version--is this the big OO fix (i.e. the fix to the main version that lets me make a working OO version just by deleting tables and selecting OOMode)? Or are you still fixing something by hand to get it to work in OO each time (you can probably just tell me what it is)?

Sorry for the delay, I should have totally fixed the OO stuff now. At least, it's working for me. You should be able to just change the option and delete tables now. If you'd prefer to just keep it all as one version, we could put a conditional on the table values that show up on OpenOffice to hide them. Would save you editing them out all the time, I don't believe they cause any issues other than file size?

As above, you can now export and import profiles. Make sure you select a new profile/rename if you don't want to overwrite the existing profiles before you click export/import.

Would that work? I though the normal version of the sheet broke in OO because the tables are there are all. If all they do is throw an error that can be hidden by the OO mode option, that would be nicer. Could just move the OO option to the front page then, and have only one version.

I think it should work ok doing it that way, yeah. Here's a version with a toggle on the front page and validation to hide the table values that are visible in OO.

OO people: don't change the trigger on the info sheet any more, there's a dropdown on the front page for you.

What's the status on getting an import from the Armory? The biggest downside to having a front end is that, with all the options and customizations, it really takes about 20 minutes to setup for each new version and although the import/export function should help with that, it doesn't appear to be backwards compatible (at least, when I tried I got an error).

I really don't know anything about the import/export, but I imagine now that it's in it should work going forward? This is why I've been putting new versions on the main page less often now, but I was hoping the import/export would help.

As far as importing from Armory, I'd been holding off on doing that because the new armory feeds were supposedly just around the corner and I didn't want to end up doing them twice. I'll move that up to my next project, I guess, and just chalk it down to a learning experience when I have to do it again later!

The import/export won't work with older version, although I'll see if I can put a quick thing together to let you convert old profiles after I finish raiding tonight. It's a bit of a pain because of the number of changes we've made to various options recently, but I'll see what I can do.

It's all up to you, I'd just worry about making sure it's set up to keep working even if the sheet changes (I assume this just means you have to not delete fields that were used previously?).

If there's only one last conversion to make, I wouldn't really worry about it. It's only an issue for every WC version before hand and won't be a problem going forward. One last update to the WC front end won't kill me (I hope).

I remember hearing about those Armory feed changes, but supposedly they've been "right around the corner" for about what... 2 months now? That was more a question of curiosity since it would definitely improve the ease-of-use factor of the page.

Just as an FYI for OO users as a response to a couple of PMs:

Depending on your security settings, you could get 1 or 2 popups. The first will warn about macros, the second will warn about external files and ask if you want to update. The first is obviously in relation to the various macros around the sheet (all the code is open for viewing, I promise there is nothing nasty in there) and the second relates to the web query I use for pulling item stats from MMO-C (unless you feel Bibi is an untrustworthy sort, there's no risk there either).

Click past them both, they are nothing to worry about.

I'll have a look at armory import soon, since as you say aceofsween, they've been promising the new feeds forever and a day.

Hamlet: yeah, we should be fine to make any changes at all now and it'll be easy enough to adapt old profiles (using lookups rather than direct references so it should be able to pick up what it needs even if we move everything around). I've nearly finished the Treecalcs update to all the new features too, should hopefully be uploading that at some point tomorrow.
