Hello everyone, i too begin to prepare myself for muru, even if we dont raid much this summer
So i will surely tank a pack of humanoid, and i have some question on the best stuff to do it, i'm a little worried with aggro problem on 3 mobs even if i spam swipe.
The stuff i think i will use on humanoid pack of muru:
[Cursed Vision of Sargeras]+12agi+3%crit damage, +5hit+5agi, +34ap +16hit
[Necklace of the Deep]+10agi +10agi
[Thunderheart Pauldrons]+10 agi +10agi, +15crit +20ap, im not sur for the enchant, it is for the aggro generation, do you think its best to put the +def enchant? And i dont have any t6.5 item
[Slikk's Cloak of Placation]+12def
[Thunderheart Chestguard]+5agi/+7endu, +10agi, +5hit/+5agi +15resi
[Vindicator's Dragonhide Bracers]+10 agi, +12def
[Thunderheart Gauntlets]+5agi/+7endu, +15agi
[Thunderheart Waistguard]+5agi/+7endu
[Tameless Breeches]+10agi +10agi, +40endu +12agi
[Thunderheart Treads]+10 agi, +6agi/+speed
[Ring of the Stalwart Protector]
[Violet Signet of the Great Protector]
[Shard of Contempt]I use that trinket for the expertise for aggro generation, i can eventually replace it with Moroes' Lucky Pocket Watch or Badge of Tenacity
[Shadowmoon Insignia]
[Staff of the Forest Lord]I don't have the stanchion
[Idol of Terror]
With all of that, with only the mark ot the wild(not amelio), i am at 52.42%dodge(without idol of terror active) 15597pv, 29652armor, 1.6% to be miss. 390def and 34resi, for 1.6+0.86=2.46+3=5.46% anticrit, can someone confirm that on lvl71 its only 5.2%?
And 73hit 16expertise 2423ap 41.31%crit
I dont tested it on full raid buff, should be somewhere at 55%dodge 19000pv.
So, do you think i need to put more agi, and lost hit(i like hit for the taunt), and stamina, and armor? I find myself low on armor at 29652.
What do you think?

You have 3/3 SotF in your build, so why do you need 5.2% anti-crit?

I believe he was just saying that the total he needs is 5.2 and already included the 3 from SotF.

Yes of course, so its 5.2? 2.2 with sotf?
Hoofhearted: i will, but do you think its a good idea to drop armor from the kz ring for a ring with agi?

Yes. It's an avoidance setup and kara ring has no avoidance. T6 head with agi gems and def enchant is the best choice too if you care to regem yours. Cursed vision is ok but that would be one source of easy to get armor instead of ring.

For some reason I had it back to front, I thought they were affected but they suffered from the dual wield penalty.
I had a look at a few random M'uru WWS as the ones listed earlier in the thread have expired, miss rates of 5-6% for the druids present supports them not being affected by Sunwell Radiance.
My apologies for getting it wrong, I stand corrected.
So when setting up a set in Rawr we can leave both dual wield and Sunwell Radiance unchecked, this certainly makes things easier as I was finding it hard to get the avoidance levels spoken of without having all procs up.
We aren't up to M'uru yet but I have been playing around with gear options in Rawr, hopefully I will get some upgrades before we get there as the current setup cuts things a bit fine with only 18684 HP.

We attempted M'uru for the first time last night, lovely fight!
How much healers do you have for each humanoid-tank? (I tank all 3, mage being stunned by 1 rogue)

Hi,
My guild is starting on learning attempts on Brut. I am logged out in the gear that I am using for Brut and I'll like a critique/suggestions to improve my survivability.
Additional buffs:
Grace of air totem from a resto shaman
Elixir of Major Agility
Elixir of Major Fortitude
30 Stam food
Devotion Aura
Ironshield Pot
I am putting on barkskin prior to taunt, and popping my trinkets alternately for each stomp i.e. BoT for 1st stomp, Moroes for 2nd stomp and so on.
A WWS of a not so successful attempt where I got bursted down during a stomp.

Get an addon like SWStats (SWL) or Recount and check your death after each try.
Most of the time where one of our tanks dies, it's like:
t=0s: 20k+ heal incoming, mainly overheal
t=0.5s: Mainhand+Offhand hits. Healers still casting
t=2.5s: Mainhand+Offhand hits. Healers still casting/lagging
t=2.5s: You die.
t=2.8s: Heals incoming :x

Healer wipe. 3 of the tank healers were simply healing wrong on that stomp.
There was no renew from Sarynn before the stomp timer is up, there was no shield from him either. He didnt land a heal for 3.5sec up to your death.
Spoilerxx took 4sec to cast a FoL on you and Reverender didnt land a heal for 6sec on you.
Try to get through to your healers that if theres an unavoidable stomp there is exactly one healing target in the raid: The tank.
Also bringing a druid for tank healing probably wouldve meant 3 LB tics, 1 rejuv, 1 regrowth, 1 swiftmend and probably another regrowth cast landing on you in those 3sec, which is about 10k depending on crits.
Oh and ask your mages for an amp magic buff before each go.

Cana: As tagrat pointed out, One dedicated healer per add tank is enough
ganwb79: Honestly I would prefer shadowmoon or even commendation over your pocket watch, but that is just my opinion. +12 agi to cloak, work on getting pendant of titans from RoS, and maybe a few more +10 agi gems in either your chest or belt.
Didn't take a look at your WWS, but in general - If you can get away from avoiding a stomp by letting the other taunt eat it before the 4th slash, do it. I rarely ever have to tank through 3+ full stomps on any given kill -- This being said if you do have to take a stomp without a trinket up it can be critical that you have Inspiration/Ancestral Fortitude up. With iron shield up + Inspiration I typically have at least 24k armor during stomp. If anything it should be the warrior that dies during stomp.
Tagrat: Few comments about your m'uru setup.
-I also have CVoS however I opt'd to wear a 2nd feral t6 helm with that meta for more armor + equal avoidance.
-I highly prefer Brutallus' neck, avoids alot of Bullshit RNG that can occur on the first swipe or two. I DE'd that blue a very long time ago and not sure exactly how it stacks up against titans (assuming the blue has a little more avoidance)
-I use twins shoulders, not that much of a difference besides A-pen really. DEFINITELY switch to avoidance enchant
-You should be able to afford to use +6 all stats on your chest for this fight
-T6 bracers have more avoidance and quite a bit more stam than your bracers
-T6 gloves, why so much shadowsong? More straight +10 agi gems.
-T6 belt, again, more +10 agi
-Rings: get a band of the abyssal lord off supremus, replace that kara ring for this fight.
-Trinkets: I highly recommend commendation + shadowmoon. Point being this will proc very often and when you need it most. The point of this fight is to stack avoidance, when this thing procs your already high avoidance goes even higher reduces damage by quite a bit (don't quote me but lets say an additional 20% less damage)
-Pray to RNG gods for Stanchion

People really over-emphasize threat on M'uru. It doesn't work that way. As long as you are landing at least 95% of your attacks, your threat will be fine (And even then it's more to avoid leaks than it is to lose threat). The amount of crits that come from avoidance stacking will more or less make sure mobs stay glued to you; if they don't, either you're doing something wrong, or DPS is doing something wrong. 3% expertise and 5% hit was plenty back when learning.
I'd say Wildfury over the badge staff (still using that over Twins staff because I'm a cheap-ass), 10agi in the belt, although I guess that could wait till you get 6.5 shoulders - Purple gem in that piece doesn't go to waste because of the socket bonus.
And yes, Commendation of Kael'thas. Not having that in this fight is almost a sin.
(Edit: P.S. remember miss rate vs 71 is 5.5%, not 9% and parry is a much lower figure than the ridiculous ~14% on ?? level mobs)

I'm assuming at least two of tagrat's amethysts are to fulfil the meta requirement. Having said that, there's one too many. He might also need the bracers and def on cloak for crit immunity, but there are other places you can get that. In general, as Regen's said, he needs more agility.
On a tangent, I've just seen yet another feral app to a guild that claims to be a tank and not have any DPS gear worth mentioning. The last guy I saw like this literally DPSed in full tank gear, in all its stamina-gemmed glory. Am I just weird for expecting other druids to have both sets of gear? How common is the "bear and only bear" syndrome?

If he claims to be a bear and only bear then he is useless... One of the main advantages of being a feral is the ability to dps during offtank/not needed tank bosses. I've actually never seen someone who's only a tank but its much more common to see feral druids say, "Oh, you wanted a tank? I only dps." We're not a dps class, we're a tanking/dpsing/healing (screw you KJ)/oomkining class.

thank you for all the answer, i will keep that in mind
i will enchant the shoulder in def, and will try to obtain a new chestguard with +15def and same gems, and regems a new waistguards in +10agi. With all of that i should have 2 yellows in head and chest, and 2 blue in chest and hands, to activate the meta.
I will try at start with cursed vision of sargeras because of the +hit, whith enchant +hit, and if it dont go well i will try with t6 with +def enchant.
Will try to with commendation. Will see for the ring too.

I think this might be largely due to being restricted by your guild and potentially how long your guild has been farming BT. I myself made it a priority to get full t6/all my tanking loot first (which wasn't really that hard tbh) before picking up dps loot, and it probably took me roughly 5 months of farming BT to fully complete it, which was still well before Sunwell was released. I honestly never hear the end of it from some people "Cat is your offspec" "How often do you actually dps vs. myself or x-rogue", most of it was from an insanely annoying enhance shaman who recently left (couldn't handle being flamed when his time came), however one of the officers (hunter) is still pretty against it, and the GM (ret pally) likes to think he can veto my bid. It seems like you have to go over the argument at least once a month, and in all honestly it is tiring. I don't mind being denied during progression, but once KJ is dead I fully expect to be able to have an equal shot at DPS loot.
P.S. Mail Itemization can go to hell, hunter taxed me on M'uru Chest

It may depend on his guild, and their gear distribution methods. For my guild, my tanking set is considered main spec, and DPS, Healing and Boomkin sets are considered offset, so I spend my DKP differently, depending on what dropped. If the guild isn't very far progressed, he may only have one set of gear.
Still, I have a hard time justifying the use of just +STAM gems everywhere, even on pure tank gear. It just doesn't scale well.

It would seem impossible to me to have tank gear worth anything without some decent dps gear to go along with it. Even offspec rolls for dps gear would eventually give you a decent set if your raid attendance was semi decent. Apparently some people really like hording void crystals instead of being useful to their raids...
Edit: Getting a decent dps set from za/t4 raids/badge gear isn't that difficult. You won't top any damage meters (which you won't ever do anyway), but it is far superior to dpsing in tank gear. So any feral druid saying they have no dps set just seems lazy to me.

Yeah, been getting in on every RoS in the week but the pendant of titans refuses to drop. I have used commendation before but I swear the ability to trinket on every stomp has saved my skin more than once.
I would really have liked to start replacing some of my +15 sta with crimson spinels but as it stands now I am at ~ 20k hp for brut fully buffed (I don't get commanding shout or bloodpact). Is it advisable to go under 20k hp for this fight?

Heh, I'm in the opposite boat. Lately, I've been a 'bear and only a bear'. We've been progressing through Sunwell, and buying 2/3 finished BT instances from other guilds on mondays. Usually just Mother+ up, sometimes BB too. I tank for all of those, and everything in Sunwell...
...So when our instance purchase fell through and we started a full clear of BT last night, I realized that it had been like a month since I had DPSed in a serious raid. I screwed up my rotation right and left, was horrible.

I would most definitely not drop yourself below 21k~ I'm not sure why you are so low (probably commendation) but I use a decent amount of avoidance gear for brut and also do not get commanding/bloodpact (only Stam in helm/legs usually).

Bah I had a nice post all made up, but the Interwebs ate it.
Anyway I'd say 20k is as low as you would want to go. SWP favors stam(at least early on it seems), but the real key to Brut is clear concise tank communication and healers being on the ball. We've killed Brut 3 times and on 2 of those kills I've been a tank along with a Warrior. At each transition we simply say "preparing to taunt" pause a second or so and then "taunting". Whenever possible let the other tank eat the Stomp and then taunt. Taunting right in to a Stomp is really bad. My gear is roughly similar to yours (except Illidan hates me and I still rock a T4 chest) and I use the BB trinket over the Stop Watch (I'd use the Commendation over that if I could get one to drop). So I'd say your gear is not the limiting factor, if anything a bit low on stam, but that's about it.
