I've browsed this thread thoroughly and have been unable to find an answer to this question. When asked why I must remind our moonkin or feral druid tank to reapply FF before it expires (they average 40+ seconds of downtime of the ability) I am given this reply "there is something fishy with ff. when i am on my feral druid i cannot put it up sometimes. however i never had an issue that didnt let me put it up when i had imp ff." I have googled and browsed forever looking for anyone else with the same problem, it seems to not even exist. I understand the poor interaction between imp FF and misery, however with a feral specced druid this isn't a problem. What do I tell these druids?

On live, iFF will not allow you to cast FFF on your target since iFF is a "more powerful spell" already active on the target. Any Moonkin can reapply his iFF at any point in time.

Also, the Shadow Priest talent Misery prevents FFF from being applied on live servers. On the PTR it's been changed to 5 min duration so that should get rid of some problems.

In practice, assuming you bring the +3% spell hit debuff, this means a feral druid cannot refresh faerie fire -- he can only apply it after it falls off.

Some of my guildies have informed me that Faerie Fire is a "minor" debuff which stacks with "major" armor debuffs like Sunder Armor. I haven't been applying it religiously when I have sunders available because I assume that these debuffs don't stack. Which is it, and where can I find info about these two categories, assuming that information is accurate? Will this remain unchanged with the new mechanics for armor reduction?

They do infact stack. They will still stack after the patch, but are being changed to percentages instead of absolute values. The Raid Comp tool from MMO-Champion is a great way to see the different de/buffs that fit into the same category.

Sometimes when I refresh Rejuvenation it allows me to do so with no problem, however sometimes it prevents it with the error that a more powerful spell is already active. Why is this?

You get this error when the first Rejuv has been enhanced by a buff or proc that has worn off by the time the second one is cast. I'm not 100% sure, but i believe it only applies to SP buffs.

The most common time this happens is if you cast your first Rejuv in range of a flametongue totem, and then move out of range. Since the first rejuv has the extra spellpower from the totem it is "more powerful" than the second and, thus, the second won't override it.

If Genesis does increase the periodic damage of Feral abilities like Rip, Rake and Lacerate then it should always be considered for feral dps as a way of getting more damage. Especially because feral periodic damage is a huge part of their overall dps.

I was thinking of starting a feral druid but now I am having second thoughts. There are no weapon heirloom items for druids (I can deal with that) but everyone keeps QQing about how druids are getting nerfed left and right. In your opinions, are druids going down the DPS range or just that now it requires more skill than an average QQer has to play the class right?

Personally, I love the challenge of feral DPS since WOTLK's release. I enjoy DPS'ing at least as much, if not more, than tanking now. If people don't like a challenge, there's always pong.

Our DPS went up from pre patch. They did remove rake off of primal gore which means we didn't get quite the massive upgrade we had at the start of testing but we did go up. That said we also have one of the more complicated rotations, but like Pike said, it's a fun challenge. FeralByNight is a good thread to read up on for DPS.

I'll be one of the first to complain about Ferals, but none of my complaints have to do with DPS. We've gotten quite a generous boost, though scaling might still be awkward. Feral DPS is involving and challenging, but that's part of why I enjoy it.

Most of my gripes have to do with Tanking and/or PvP.
