Got a question about a spec trying to pick up tanking and dps stuff.

How much dps am i going to lose by not speccing into shredding attacks and using mangle in its place when dps'ing as cat.

Rawr can answer that question if you enter all your talents. Switching between Shredding Attacks and no SA will show a DPS change and I've not heard that this is inaccurate. With my not-quite-best-in-slot cat gear (and no 2T6) Rawr says that I lose 150 DPS if I drop SA. YMMV.

Hey, what meta you suggest for Moonkin pvp? Silence, stun or fear duration reduced? Moreover i have searched but haven't found moonkin pvp guides, only pve ones.

To the gems: You will hardly be silenced I think, so it comes down to stun an fear. IMO fear is much more dangerous, since rogue stuns are not that bad, you have pretty high armor. And fear might be nice to reduce.

I would take fear, but its pure theory.

eidt: and if I am not totally mistaken, I mostly get just interrupted putting a class of spells on cd. Silence is not that big of an issue i believe

Just curious about expertise and hit. I know the hit cap is 262.32 for Raid bosses. But Ive been reading the Feral druid numbers about the expertise cap and Im a little confused. It says you need 213.13 Expertise Rating to be dodge capped? And 491. 85 to be parry capped? Total that would be of 700 expertise rating which is extremely high, and would be extremely hard to get without sacrificing a considerable portion of attack power.

What expertise rating should I be shooting for. Right now Im sitting about about 33 Expertise, which breaks down to just over 192 expertise rating. I understand thats the expertise cap for 5-man heriocs, but Id like to have expertise cap for 25 man Naxx/Maly/OS

Expertise applies to both dodge and parry reduction; for example once you hit the dodge cap on 6.5% you also gain a 6.5% chance to reduce parries as well. If you wanted to eliminate dodge and parry, you'd need a total of 491.85 expertise rating (not 700ish).

Regardless of your role in raids, you should aim to hit the dodge cap (6.5%). If you're more bear then cat extra expertise helps, but don't feel pressured to hit the parry cap as you'd sacrifice too many stats to achieve this. Also, based on your math it looks like you took 2/2 in Primal Precision (192 from gear + 82 from talent = 274 rating or 33 expertise) and did not factor in the expertise given by that. If you have 33 Expertise you're at a 8.25% reduced parry chance, and should not have any attacks dodged. I'd say that's fine for either role.

Assuming you have best in slot for everything else, what is best in slot for legs for cat dps? Cause I just got Leggings of the Honored tonight, changed from Valorous and I had to reshuffle some stuff to get expertise capped again. I did some Toskk stuff and it's telling me Valorous is still better and I don't want to piss off my guildies if I don't use Leggings of the Honored. I thought they were best in slot.
