3.3 patch notes up. Only relevant change is that Treants have increased damage reduction against AoE effects in PvE.

•Nature's Grace now procs from non-periodic spell criticals. (Old - All spell criticals)
Well thats a nerf at least. Especially when u want to get those ng procs with starfall for ur hurricanes in aoe situations.
edit: hmm is starfall periodic dmg?

Hurricane never procced NG on live server I think, Starfall is not periodic, it is single Stars (single hits, procs NG) and additional splashdamage (counts as aoe = no NG)

I hadn't noticed that the little stars don't give NG, but it looks like you are right. I'm not sure that AoE is the right explanation. Typhoon gives NG, and I'd call it an AoE.

I haven't figured out what the NG and Genesis changes are supposed to be. I think they might just be tooltip fixes. Maybe Genesis will affect the initial hits of Moonfire and Regrowth?

The change to Nature's Grace is just a tooltip correction. The current "periodic" spells that we have that can crit are Hurricane and Moonfire, and neither of those can proc Nature's Grace on live. As noted, Typhoon and Starfall both are non-periodic, as are (of course) Wrath and Starfire. It's not a change to the talent.

What i'm concerned with is that I have always assumed Genesis only affected MF and IS. 5% more on Hurricane and Starfall would improve it's gain per point. How can this affect speccing for more aoeish fights, like Anub. Or is 5% DoT damage, SF damage and Hurricane dmg just not worth so many points?

For Genesis, I'm looking at the piece in parentheses. Removal of possible use by Ferals it would seem.
|
It was proven on beta that Genesis doesn't affect feral dots.
As for NG I just think its a clarification tooltip change type thing as said previously.

Is anyone else noticing a bit of a delayed reaction when Lunar eclipse procs?
Let me clarify: I've been noticing that I'll crit with wrath, and NG will proc like it normally does, but it seems like I'm waiting a couple seconds after that crit until Lunar procs. Is this a latency issue? Is anyone else noticing this recently? It's really been throwing off my rotation as of late.

Still not clear. Eclipse always procced a "few seconds" after NG, because NG procs when the Wrath cast completes and Eclipse when Wrath hits the target. There was also always a slight gap between when SF/Wrath hit the target when Eclipse procced, due to latency. Regardless, I don't think anything's changed here.

I have created a very small mod that deals with this effect should you wish to use it for predicting eclipses. It still needs some tweaking, but 99% of the time it will work perfectly. The basis of the mod itself is the reason a few bugs are hard to work around.
What happpens:
Small frame in the middle of the screen says WRATH when you need to cast WRATH, STARFIRE when you need to cast STARFIRE to proc or use your eclipse buff. If both buffs are available it says BOTH. These texts are able to be changed in the .lua file. With the Nature's Grasp Prediction feature turned on ("/sem NGP"), it will change the text accordingly should you gain Nature's Grace when you are able to proc the lunar eclipse. This in no way tells you how to play, it simply lets you react faster.
It does have it's draw backs should eclipse not proc, but it's an interesting play style I've been trialling.
Example:
Lunar eclipse is on cooldown -> You gain Nature's Grace from a wrath cast -> the text changes to STARFIRE -> Eclipse procs -> You are casting starfire right away now -> Gain extra cast(s) within the eclipse.
wowinterface Link:
Shadow's Eclipse Monitor
The mod also has a standard feature that ignores the Nature's Grace procs, should you just want to use it to monitor which spell to use.

Comparing T9 with T8 items
I worked around with the numbers of T8/T9 (226/245), trying to find out which items would be best to use. I came to the conclusion that T9.helmet, T9.legs, T8.gloves, T8.shoulders and Merlin's Robe would be the best items, assuming my stats, gathered in WrathCalc ( Spellpower: 1.69, Spell Crit: 0.86, Spell Hit: 2.75, Spell Haste: 1.69, Spirit: 0.57, Int: 0.54 [in DPS]).
I'm not the best mathematician in the world and often compare wrong numbers, so I'd appreciate it if someone could double check my spreadsheet ( get it here, don't know how to add files in the forum). I tried to clarify everything as much as possible in the sheet, and before you ask: I got the Handwraps of the Lifeless Touch and wanted to compare it with T9.245. I also directly added sockets and socket bonuses using gems with SP - or SP/Crit (I'm above Haste S. Cap) and SP/Spirit whenever the bonus looked useful. Well, if you told me about errors and mistakes, it would be great ;-)

Without any strage math involved, you have 3 out of 5 items with spirit, which is a deffinite budged loss.
I presume you left out any heroic mode gear since you chose T9.245, so i will do the same:
Your choice:
T9.245 Helm and legs
T8.226 gloves and shoulders
Merlin's Robe (245)
My choice (could be better, i just chose a plausible setup)
T9.245 Helm and chest
T8.226 shoulders and legs
Gloves of Lifeless Touch (245)
Ignoring Stam, intl and armor (which are in the same ballpark anyway) your gear setup wins 9 SP, 88 hit and 1Red+1Blue sockets and looses 146 crit and 67 haste. (SP after spirit conversion).
The latter setup still gains more stats, even if you ignore the fact that your setup has 229 hit which will make it even harder not to go over the cap.
