After looking at the loot lists on mmo champion I am considering the idea of going with 5 pieces of t10. I don't see any leather pieces for these slots that are better itemized than the tier gear, and all of these pieces are upgradeable to higher item levels. The clothies in my guild would also support this plan.

What do you guys think?

This is what I'm wondering also.

About the T10 2pc, is it worth dropping the tier 9.5 4pc bonus over? Right now I'm using [Gloves of the Lifeless Touch] and 4pc's of T9.5. Guild couldn't get down anub hard so i'm stuck with 245 @.@. But back to the point, is the 2peice worth dropping the 4pc bonus ?? I saw a lotta discussion over how to use the 2pc (lolol@casting GoTW in a rotation, although i understand if you wanna cast it while moving outta fire or somthing :P).
The 4peice looks nice, though i have a feeling it's going to work like the rets righteous vengeance.
Eventually I plan to grab all 4 peices but I'm curious as what I should do until then =/

Also, everyone got distracted over the GoTW discussion and never really had serious discussion over nibelung, it has pretty bad itemization for us (no crit / haste) but loads of SP.... the proc seems fun but very RNG..... I had the chance to take one recently and passed to save DKP because I was unsure about it =/

Couple of issues I see here, Mr. Strike. The first is that you are waaaaaay over hit cap : 77 points over to be exact. The second issue is that you are gemming to fill socket bonuses in situations where it would be more optimal to just put in a Runed cardinal ruby. Make sure to check out the TTT thread in Arawethion's tag. He lays out all the math for you. Third (and finally) I noticed a lot of spirit and mp5 on your gear. While spirit isn't bad, it's not optimal itemization and mp5 is just a complete waste of your time. With just a little bit more vigilant reading on this forum and some re-gemming I bet you'll be pulling 6k dps in no time. Stupid ferals.

Oh yeah, and NO. We are not finding this to be true...per se. Ferals can (in certain fight setups) just out dps us point for point. There are other fights where we beat them. It just happens that way.

For the 4pc, I'm pretty sure it works just like Ignite and Death Coil, where it rolls in the damage it does to the next tick.

Also, if my math was correct and we assume a 6% proc rate, doesn't the 2pc bonus net +5% dps? That seems pretty good to me...

Regarding trinkets: Spyglass has no ICD I can discern. It gains stacks off of any spell you cast (when it lands) plus off of DOT ticks from IS/MF and all impacts of starfall. It's at 10 stacks virtually 100% of the time aside from the initial rampup at the start of a fight.

Assuming Phylactery has a 1M ICD and 35% proc rate off of casts not DOTs, its effective spellpower will be roughly 250, making it a little better than heroic spyglass barring you getting the proc just as a fight ends or just as you have to move / stop DPS for something.

Should I go with trying to get a trophy to get 245 head piece and then getting 251 shoulders n hands? or pants? I ran my gear through Rawr and it says the 251 pants are the biggest tier upgrade that is obtainable atm.

Personally ialready got some 264 pieces from 25man ICC, hand/chest, i tried them out, with Head/shooulder 245t9 and 245 25man toc lgs and they were and downgrade, so this support the fact that 4pieces 245 tier9 should stay on until uget the 2set 251 tier10 (probably shoulders/hands since they are cheaper). Today im getting shoulders and will be trying:

Tier 10 251(shoulders)
tier 9 245(Head)
25man ICC (Chest/Hands)
25man Toc (Legs)

It will most likely be and downgrade since there is not set bonus at all, but better try thatn be sorry, i ll let u guys know

I wouldn't mind getting some input on this as well, especially [Dislodged Foreign Object] would be great to figure out what exactly is bis though i am still trying to get my hands on a [Reign of the Dead] & possibly [Muradin's Spyglass]

Can someone explain what 4pT9 264 means? Is it suppose to be t10? I'm not quite sure where the 264 is coming from

The issue with DFO (and spyglass to a lesser degree) is that the haste (crit) you get is most likely going to have you over the soft cap, reducing its value. Getting 400 haste on gear is rather trivial at this point. So the on-equip value of the trinket becomes significantly reduced compared to a trinket that provides spellpower such as reign.

It then boils down to the proc. Is the proc on DFO good enough for it to be worth equipping over another trinket despite the haste being applied over softcap? The proc on phylactery is 918 for 20 sec. DFO's proc has you at 1050 at peak, if you reach 1050 then the proc immediately falls off back to 0, and the ICD is 1 minute, there is no question that phylactery is a much better trinket (even spyglass would likely come out ahead at that point).

The bottom line is that until the ICDs of phylactery or DFO are known, and until the mechanics of DFO's stacking effect are known, there is no conclusive answer as to which trinkets would be BiS. Given that spyglass drops in 10-man, it is safe to assume that spyglass/reign is a solid combo to go with for the next month-ish before the next wing opens as spyglass is unlikely to cost you any DKP if you're in a 25-man guild.

What is the crit soft cap? I can't find the info for the life of me

The soft crit cap is going to be different for everyone. I believe it is (1575.5 - Intellect/3)

For the saurfang fight and the need to pick up typhon, I've dropped my omen of clarity talent point to pick it up and havnt seen a huge mana impact at my hugely inflated int level (due to the availability of drops). I dont see any other impact that the clear casting talent might incrue other then mana pool difficulties .

The minor typhon glyph makes the spell ignored by the beasts and cant be used . The major, which chops 3 seconds off of the cooldown, doesnt seem to be needed either as i wont get the chance to use the spell twice regardless of the 3 seconds less. Switching over the major glyph was my biggest concern, but upon testing doesn't seem necessary .
