Hm, I couldn't get the "instant-cast-right-after-cast-time-cast" thing to work on Sindragosa 10-man tonight. Well, I think maybe one time it happened. All the other times I tried doing MF or IS after a SF, I still got two new stacks.
Perhaps my latency is too low? ;-)

Same here, casting barkskin right after SF gave me one more stack each time I did it. I have low latency (42 ms this morning).

Kind of. Hunters got scorpid string, but they won't use it anyway.

To amplify on what Vortigen has said, we (as Moonkin Druids) have, to my knowledge, a much lower opportunity cost for applying this particular debuff than Hunters using Scorpid Sting.
If I recall, the only time my guild (in 10-man) has had a Hunter apply Scorpid Sting is to use it with Chimera Shot to disarm a target. (Goremok the Impaler is a good example of this use.)
On certain 'progression' fights (like, well, Festergut), an unglyphed IS can definitely help prevent a wipe.

I found to make it work, you need a bit of latency and Quartz. The cast also needs to be 1.1 seconds or longer. As soon as I cast the spell I wanted to, I began mashing the instant cast I wanted. This had a real high success rate for me.

I've never used Quartz, I assume it just provides a visual for spell queing? That 1.1 cast time thing makes sense, as I could get it to work sometimes, but not all the time, and couldn't figure out why.

Death knights, druids, hunters, mages, rogues, warlocks, warriors, oh my! For those participating in our public testing of the upcoming minor content patch 3.3.3, look out this week for a host of fascinating new adjustments to these classes. Chains of Ice innately does what? Nature's Grasp has how many charges? Vitalit...y boosts stamina by how much? Stay tuned to find out the answer to these and more questions!
It will be funny if in middle of contentetn our rotation and game play will be change....

Nature's Grasp is our reactive snare, you are thinking Nature's Grace.

It works for me. I raid on 400-450ms which is an average-high oceanic latency, maybe there's something in that.

I was curious to see if anyone else had noticed that, during heroism, that spamming starfire seemed to be a better value at higher haste levels, regardless of eclipse.
And, if someone had, have they done any math as to what haste value+ that it becomes the better option. I figure, by the time we are in mostly ideal hard mode ICC 25 gear, starfire during heroism could get as fast as 1.2, which would make it the logical choice, but I was unsure at what value it first overtakes wrath.

The latency thing is inconsequential and it is possible to use this mechanic to get 1 stack of Unstable Magic regardless of how high or low your latency is through spell queuing. I have between 60 and 90 ms and it is definitely possible to make use of this mechanic. I believe that Unstable Magic has a small internal cooldown of maybe less than .5 seconds. My guess is that it prevents multiple stacks from occurring when you cast a spell that procs another spell cast (such as Lightning Overload for Elemental Shaman). But in order to time this properly, you have to be very on the ball by queuing a spell so it casts immediately after you finish your first cast.

Starfall damage has been increased. Now causes 563 to 653 Arcane damage (Up from 433 to 503) and 101 Arcane damage (Up from 78) to all other enemies within 5 yards.
|
Suppose this Starfall change makes the IS and Starfall glyph difference shift way more to Starfall's favor, especially in heroic modes. Any clue how much of a dps increase it is? Seems a bit lame though, I'd expected a crit/haste scaling buff.

I'll try to fix the sheet soon, but that's going to be a very small change overall.

There has to be other stuff. At the very least, more PvP burst doesn't equal lower Typhoon cost or buffed Starfall. Here's hoping for something a little more significant.
