I just wanted to post a quick reply here regarding resto druid meta gems. There was some discussion in one of the other resto threads a couple weeks ago about the [Insightful Earthsiege Diamond] really calculating out to extremely high mp5 values in Ulduar raids and that vs the [Ember Skyflare Diamond] it is a much better choice for stat point allocation. I decided to give it a try, here are some of my results from last night's Ulduar-25 raid. The times and values were from our WWS and WoL reports.

Hodir: 4:20, 5 procs : 3000 mana. = 57 mp5
Auriaya: 5:10, 7 procs: 4200 mana. = 67 mp5
Kologarn: 4:57, 5 procs, 3000 mana. = 50 mp5
XT: 3:38, 4 procs, 2400 mana. = 55mp5
Mimiron: 12:25, 14 procs, 8400 mana. = 56mp5

During some of our XT hard-mode attempts I calculated some mp5 values upwards of 80, but due to how short some attempts were I decided to not include them in my list above. Because the sample size for me is rather small, I am just figuring a rough 60mp5 average. It may be more or less in time, but for now it's a nice round number to work with.

Now compare that to the Skyflare meta. 2% intellect, assuming roughly 1500 Int when raid buffed, that calculates out to 30 intellect.

25 Spell Power and ~30 Intellect vs. ~60 MP5 and 21 Intellect.



At this point it's up to the player, 25 spell power vs 60 mp5 and a few intellect difference. During the night my mana regen was ridiculously high, so my hope is that this puts me in a better position for hard-mode progression (our current goal as a guild) to negate any mana issues I might have down the line. I am going to look to get another throughput trinket to use instead of the mana regen/conserve one that I have to swap as needed from boss to boss when I feel I don't need all that regen. This also opens up the option for me to innervate other people now like our SV hunter who burns mana like crazy but puts up some really serious dps.
