Maybe I missed it, but I would love to see a screenshot of Healbot in action, in a real fight setting so I can get a better idea of it. Maybe one of the healbot users could post one?

If you use Deadly Boss Mods, there is a separate package that used the DBM API.
Spell Timers
"DBM-SpellTimers is a small but powerful addon that uses DBM timers to show spell cooldowns from raid members. It is fully configurable through a simple GUI so you can easily add new spells."

Yes, I could do as you say and read the DBM, find that person's name, target them to actually make sure they have that effect and then heal them, but by that time they're pretty much dead. When no one is taking damage it's easier, because you know the person who just took a hit is probably the person who needs healing, however on something like Stone Grip in the Kologarn fight, everyone is taking damage and knowing exactly which person is in Stone Grip with a cursory glance at Grid is invaluable to keeping people alive.

As a new convert from Healbot, I'm not sure how to do this - It's not a standard curse/magic effect, so is there an extra addon required to put those debuffs as an icon?

Sorry it took me a while to put a screenshot up. My layout isn't too fancy, it's the same layout I've used since molten core, so I go with familiarity. The green bar you see above Igashu is AuraBar, and it's counting down my lifebloom.
Oh and yes, pitbull 4 has the ability to filter by buffs that you cast yourself, as well as AuraBar.

Thanks for the pitbull screenie and the link to Keeva's blog. It does look like I can indeed recommend healbot for my fellow healers, who are typically not willing to spend as much time on such things as I am. For myself, pitbull 4 does look quite nice, but isn't it still in beta?

I am into UI design for quite some time now and since I am having restoration druid myself who became level 80 on may first I am currently working on some adjustments to my UI.
My party interface is already done: picture1 - picture2
It's the Roth UI with currently unreleased features. I added the oUF_AuraWatch module which allows me to track specific buffs/debuffs for specific units. If you look at the party or focus frames you may notice some "hot" icons right next to them. I set oUF_AuraWatch to track Rejuvenation, Regrowth, Lifebloom and Wildgrowth.
Currently I am working on adding oUF_AuraWatch to my raidframes aswell.
How I want my raidframes to look, when finished:
The clue is that I want to add a table for specific raid boss debuffs aswell (exampe Kel'Thuzad's iceblock).
I made myself a full set of heal macros with conditions for mouseover, target or player. Example
#showtooltip Lifebloom
/use 13
/cast [target=mouseover,exists,nodead,noharm] Lifebloom; [target=target,exists,nodead,noharm] Lifebloom; [target=player,exists,nodead] Lifebloom
The spell is casted on my mouseover target, otherwise on my target, otherwise on the player.
I tried Hotcandy. It just doesn't work for me in raids whey you have ~10 hots running. Indicators on unitframes is the way to go in my opinion.

Yes it is in beta, or perhaps even alpha, but I find it to be quite stable, save for a few miscellaneous errors. I've been using it for about a month, and I've only ever crashed for one reason.

Hey Cet, can you track any of your hots that way (countdown)?
If so, could u give me the addons you're using? I'm having a hard time finding anything good for me since 3.1 -_-'

I am still seeing other druid's HoTs on my grid and they are seeing mine on their interfaces as well. Anyone else having this problem? I did the .lua fix on treebarkjacket and that didn't work for me. I also updated to the latest version r115 of GridStatusHots and it still hasn't fixed it.
I'm gonna try to edit the .lua again maybe I just didn't do it right (though I did exactly what it said). If anyone has any alternate fixes that would be grand. My guild has two other trees and the group I'm running Ulduar with right now has atleast 1 other tree and I'm losing my mind.
Would it matter that they don't use grid?

The author of oUF_AuraWatch released a patch yesterday so I finally could finish my function.
My oUF raidframes now have indicators and a debuff icon in the middle.
Screenshots:
http://zorktdmog.zo.funpic.de/rothui...609_204009.jpg
http://zorktdmog.zo.funpic.de/rothui...609_204945.jpg
I'm very happy with the outcome. I can define specific debuff spellids, example: Kel'Thuzad ice block. The debuff will then be displayed in the middle of the unitframe.

Have you tried Norfair's fix? I updated and modified my GridStatusHots (to the version in the second link below) and haven't had a problem since.

I think my UI is pretty clean. I use Grid, Bartender3, Pitbull, Elkano's buff bars, Clique, Recount and Prat. You may notice i have a few bars that fade out to the right for my buffs and food.
There is a couple new things I have added to my UI since this post, The Druids in my raid and I have started running PawPower, This addon tracks all druid in your raids Rebirth and innervate. It also gives you the ability to click on a dead person in the frame to tell your other druids who to Brez and send a tell the person you are brezing that a rez is incoming.
Also I recently added SquackandAwe to my UI for my off spec Boomkin and also to track when I get OOC. It shows a very clear timed bar and also shows a timer for innervate and any trinkets I may have used. I will put up a new SS of my UI tonight when i get home.

Hi, yes I track all my hots via text countdown.
You will need:
GridStatusHots
GridStatusLifebloom
GridIndicatorCornerText (there are other corner addons, GridIndicatorCornerPlus & GridIndicatorCornerIcons which would also probably work)
Under the grid menu (accessible either via the Fubar or /Grid config) I set the following frame indicators
Center Text 2: Lifebloom Duration (ignore/uncheck Lifebloom stack)
Corner Text Bottom Left: Buff: My Rejuvenation
Corner Text Top Right: Buff: My Regrowth
Corner Text Bottom Right: Buff: My Wild Growth
Now in the Grid menu open up Status - My HoTs. For each HoT uncheck Show HoT Counter in each of them. This ensures that the corner text shows only the HoT timer.

As a question - how do people feel about using Xperl for healing? I've not tried other UIs, as this seems to work well... was just debating if there was much better out there. From the screenshots above, I seem to prefer Xperl... ^^

I think about this every time I see OoC proc, but I never have a good idea where I am relative to the 5sr. Am I 1 second from the end, or 3? What I'd love is a little addon that had just one number - how long until I'm out of the 5sr? Maybe a number in red that ticks down to the 5sr, then switches to a green number that counts up. The perfect version would be a grid plugin, but a little window would work
Anybody ever seen something that would do that? Wouldn't be hard to code up if one didn't exist.

It is not exactly want you want Smoothie but on my personal Unit frame (not my raid frames) I have the pitbull FSR indicator. All this does is a line drags across your frame and it is on a 5second timer, so if you see the bar almost to the end of your screen you know you are almost out of the FSR. Although it will not show you how long you actually spent outside of it, I find it useful for seeing how close I am to it and getting a few ticks outside of it.

If you use Fubar, you can get a module called RegenFu. It puts a nice blue bar at the top center of my screen counting down where I am in the 5sr. It's very handy, I've been using it since Serpentshrine Cavern.

It's not a real action, but my computer tends to get laggy when i take screenshot so i rather avoid doing it during heavy fights.

It shows Slag Pot and Stone Grip if you add them as custom debuff but you need to uncheck "Ignore debuffs: short duration".

I used HB for a while and went back to Grid because I didn't like not knowing when my HOTs were about to end and how many stacks of LB I had. I also thought that with 3 or 4 HOTs running and some custom debuffs showing that it got really cluttered. I also had problems seeing names and health with that much stuff up if I kept the icons at a size that allowed my older eyes to see them easily.
Your screenshot has interested me again in HB. The AuraBars mod you talk about is for PitBull 4 correct? If so how do you get it to attach to HB. Can you get Rejuv/Regrowth/Wild Growth in there also? Can you color code the bars? Is there a way yet to tell if you can swiftmend someone elses HOT? If I could get bars for all the HOTs I could then dump all the Icons except for DeBuffs I guess.

Top Left - LB Stack
Bottom Left - LB Duration w/Icon
Bottom Right - Rev Duration w/Icon
Top Right (left) - Regrowth
Top Right (right) - WG (Faded with SS so you don't see the icon)
I have it set up so Rejuv text shows for ANY target in the raid with rejuv regardless whether it is mine or not. The icon only shoes if it is mine. This allows for more SM opportunities in mulitple resto druid raids.
The power aura around myself appears when I Clearcast so I know if I have not already went onto the next GCD to cast LB on somebody for a mana return.
Edit: I am zoomed in quite a bit more then normal for the pic.

Sorry this might be out-dated but the OP mentions GridStatusRaidIcons, i have quickly looked on wowinterface and curse and couldn't find them, is there a new addon which does this better or can i get it somewhere else?
Also, I permanently have a light blue box in my top right and a dark blue box in my bottom right which overlap each other. I looked under top right and bottom right and ive only got lifebloom duration/my rejuvenation ticked, any ideas why there are boxes there all the time, even without any hots active? EDIT: Nevermind, i just realised that was the mana bar silly me! Where do people put the mana bar if they use it at all?

I healed my first few raids with X-Perl (combined with HotCandy).
From my point of view you should not use it, since you cannot track your hots or the life bloom stacks, the debuff information is lousy and it takes way too much room.
I still use it to see my mana bar and my buffs/debuffs, but I use grid for everything else.
So, if you think your performance is limited by X-Perl, I'd recommend you to switch to a real healing UI.
I'm using Grid (together with mouseover macros) and I love it.
But there are few other good mods like HealBot out there as well, look what suites you best and customize your UI to your needs.
Note that you have to configure Grid before you can really heal a raid with it and it looks complicated at the beginning, but there are a lot of guides for it.
Link This is a beginners guide, which helped me getting started, but look if you need everything she recommends and look for the features you'd like. Most probably they are available.
