Good evening Druids,
I have been recently looking into some calculations of gear and wanted your collective opinions on it. I've read pretty much everything on this forum though not found any "certain" (As certain as one can be in the presently known gear table) numbers or theory regarding which T9/8 item combinations work the best. Like many of you I took
[Legwraps of the Awakening]. Finding it a 37 Spell Power (best gems of course) and 90 haste lost compared to the T8 legs I just assumed it was present BiS (the T9 legs are after a; awful). Assuming this information is logical that leaves us 4 slots to make up two combinations with, The T9 chest seems unbeatable, and the gloves seem superior compared to the other differences. This leads me to the conclusion of T9 Gloves and Chest, T8.5 Helm and Shoulders. Which seems even stranger considering I never thought much of the shoulder, and never even took the helm!
What perplexed me further is how I have not taken the one non spirit T8 item, and am missing one of the spirit T9's, which seems obviously a flaw in my judgement down to the simple basics of item level. However still I'm coming to a comparison conclusion that as I seem to be ble to utilise the hit on many items and come out better, my assumption is correct. I've not run this through rawr as I'm told the present version is unreliable.
My question is an obvious one; which items are you taking and why? plus what is the general present theory behind that reasoning. My thanks and hope I've not brought back some long-lost previous conclusion! Anyone who can point out how much of a nutter I am in my conclusions gets a bonus cookie also!
