It does the job well, to say it wasn't made with 3.2 eclipse in mind as I know. All that it lacks is a way of monitoring the ICD of each eclipse - which is only required when you're thinking of ending one eclipse early to proc the other.(Lunar while under eclipse)

Just my 2 cents, but using an addon like WiseEclipse effectively eliminates this deficiency, wouldn't you say?

Yes, and WiseEclipse also usually eliminates the situation where you've failed to proc Solar and the Lunar ICD is coming back up, so you want to switch back to Wrath. But it still happens occasionally due to imperfect timing or movement, so I like to be able to see my Eclipse ICD somewhere.

Quartz should show it no? It shows both as separate cooldowns for me anyway right next to the casting bar which is nice and handy.

I think you need the Eclipse Module, for Quartz to show ICD.

Yup, installed as standard for me I think when I installed Quartz using the Curse client, I may be remembering that wrong though.

Definitely worth installing if someone is looking for separate ICD timers.

Not sure if this was mentioned or discussed yet, if so sorryz! =D

I was hoping on getting some insight on this spec/setup.

Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft
(of course points could be changed here and there to your liking o_O)
Would this be viable you think with 2p t9 and Idol of Lunar Fury?

I was thinking of trying it out, but haven't had the chance yet.

Any thoughts?

Is IFF worth having if you're above hitcap?

Genesis is one of the worst dps talents you could get, especially since you skipped IS which is pretty much always worth casting.

Yes. Work on getting gear that lets you get right at at the cap though, rather than just taking a random collection of caster drops.

Good evening Druids,

I have been recently looking into some calculations of gear and wanted your collective opinions on it. I've read pretty much everything on this forum though not found any "certain" (As certain as one can be in the presently known gear table) numbers or theory regarding which T9/8 item combinations work the best. Like many of you I took
[Legwraps of the Awakening]. Finding it a 37 Spell Power (best gems of course) and 90 haste lost compared to the T8 legs I just assumed it was present BiS (the T9 legs are after a; awful). Assuming this information is logical that leaves us 4 slots to make up two combinations with, The T9 chest seems unbeatable, and the gloves seem superior compared to the other differences. This leads me to the conclusion of T9 Gloves and Chest, T8.5 Helm and Shoulders. Which seems even stranger considering I never thought much of the shoulder, and never even took the helm!

What perplexed me further is how I have not taken the one non spirit T8 item, and am missing one of the spirit T9's, which seems obviously a flaw in my judgement down to the simple basics of item level. However still I'm coming to a comparison conclusion that as I seem to be ble to utilise the hit on many items and come out better, my assumption is correct. I've not run this through rawr as I'm told the present version is unreliable.

My question is an obvious one; which items are you taking and why? plus what is the general present theory behind that reasoning. My thanks and hope I've not brought back some long-lost previous conclusion! Anyone who can point out how much of a nutter I am in my conclusions gets a bonus cookie also!

Unless you've got access to iLvl 258 gear, the best setup is 2x T8 and 2x T9. Following the general feeling of avoiding Spirit gear, the best combination would be T9 head and chest and T8 legs (as they don't have spirit), and then depending on what's available to you, go for T8 shoulders or gloves (non heroic alternatives to each are [Shoulderpads of the Glacial Wilds] and [Gloves of the Lifeless Touch])

Just how i thought out my gear priorities, as i do not yet have access to heroic modes.

Genesis stacks multiplicatively with the other bonuses and thus does not give any decent dps upgrade. Moonfury also works this way and the crit bonus is reported to not effect the T9 2P at all, just the initial damage.

Insect Swarm should not be ignored because of this new set bonus, as modeled and discussed many times on this thread and others, it is still a good addition to your dps rotation and values. Moonfire has always been the priority DoT DPS wise and it shall remain that way. Changing your spec to really push out your DoT damage for moonfire by sacrificing what is probably 40% of your DoT damage in insect swarm, I do not see as a viable spec. This of course is speaking from a pure min/max standpoint.

i`d like to ask: for now everybody takes 2xT8+2xT9 only because it`s a little bit hard to take 4 trophies and as soon as possible it would be better to take 4 parts of T9? or 4xT9 is bad bonus? (sorry me the newb >_<)

Multiple calculations have repeatedly proven 2T8 bonus to be better than anything T9 can bring, other than exactly 4 pieces of T9.258.

Even if you use 4p T9.245, you are still suffering a dps loss of around 3% or so, and you suffer from a lower burst damage during BL(even though eclipse is so unpredictable).
