ChaosPhoenix you are just at a point in gearing where the differences are just very small, your test on one fight isn't enough to base anything on as it is simply about three minutes of combat. The tools, both Rawr and others, look at much more than a three minute sample on a random fight to provide you answers.
Bonemage I have no idea why you even brought [Mjolnir Runestone] into this as ChaosPhoenix doesn't have it and, given his character looks like an alt, probably won't ever have it. There is no need to complicate things especially in the simple answers thread.

Hello, Tree question here
I am presently playing my tree primarily in 10 man raids, and often run without a paladin. This shuffles me into a tank healing roll fairly often, and I have some questions about Lifebloom.
Q: I've been assigned to heal a tank. What do I do?
A: Glyph Nourish. Make sure you have Empowered Touch (and Living Seed would also be nice). Keep Regrowth and Rejuvenation on the tank, periodically cast Lifebloom (but don't roll it), and spam Nourish in between. Use Swiftmend whenever he hangs at low HP. This isn't a great role for us, but you can get by if the damage isn't too high.
Here I am told not to roll it, but a 3 stack of lifebloom ticks for roughly 1300 outside of ICC, which isn't half badI can understand lifebloom is mana intensive and that not allowing it to bloom can cause issues, lets assume that for at least most of the fight this isn't an issue.
Is there any reason to let lifebloom fall, barring the need for a well timed burst heal?
Furthermore, in the event I roll it would it be wise to use the lifebloom glyph in order to alleviate some of the gcd capping tank healing incurs. Typically in a 10 man I roll Swiftmend/Nourish/Rapid Rejuv
EDIT: Had my numbers wrong, fail on my behalf.

The reason to let it fall is to get the inbuilt mana return, so stacking it to 3, let it fall off and stacking it again does not waste any of the increased mana cost from the initial cast. It requires a lot more gcd's this way to just maintain your 3xlb stack, so it depends on the fight if you can actually do it that way.

In terms of HPM, rolling Lifebloom is horribly inefficient. We put it up primarily for the boost to the Nourish glyph, otherwise it wouldn't really be worth casting at all. A fight where your mana can stand rolling Lifebloom is a fight that you greatly outgear.
Glyphing Lifebloom would be convenient, but not worth losing Swiftmend, Nourish or RR glyphs. Nourish and RR glyphs individually provide MUCH more HPS than a 3-stack Lifebloom, and Swiftmend glyph avoids removing your haste-capped Rejuve during burst damage periods when the tank really needs it most.
When the shit hits the fan and you just can't afford to spend a GCD to refresh Lifebloom, keep casting Nourish until it blooms and then refresh it, letting the bloom heal take the place of a Nourish in your casting sequence. That keeps you getting the Nourish glyph boost, which is affected by the presence of Lifebloom, and not the number of stacks.

Gift of the Earthmother
I've recently reached the Haste Cap for my Resto Druid, and when I went to respec I noticed no changes when I added points into Gift of the Earthmother.
If Lifebloom has no CD, how does this work?
Thank you.
*EDIT: Answered one of my questions.

It reduces the base cooldown of your lifebloom spell, this means the talent lowers the global cooldown triggered when casting lifebloom. Since you are already at the haste cap, the global cooldown remains at 1.0 seconds (it can't get below 1.0). The lifebloom related portion of the talent is aimed at PVP resto druids to lower the global cooldown of lifebloom since they are normally not at the haste cap.

Dash macro
Before 4.0.1 I was using this macro for one buttong Cat->Dash. It goes like this
#showtooltip dash
/cast Cat Form(Shapeshift)
/cast Dash(Cat Form)
At the moment, the macro doesn't work. I get an error "Must be in Cat Form". It's not due to GCD for sure since after switching to Cat Dash is ready to use instantly as it was before. I suspect it might be due to new queueing.
Anyone knows if there is some way to make this macro work again (if it's even possible at all).

Has anyone had any success getting a display on Grid of your personal HoTs post 4.0.1 patch? I have the addon GridStatusHots (which always worked before) but it doesn't seem to be functioning.
On a lesser note, GridStatusManaBars and GridStatusRaidDebuffs also seem to be non-functional

It is probably a problem with the plug-ins. So far I saw that StatusHots and Grit itself were updated, but neither StatusCornerIcons nor StatusSideIcons was updated. At least I couldn't get them to work or to stop throwing errors at me. For the hots, I used to use StatusCornerText, if you haven't, maybe give it a go. However, I am sure it has not been updated for a long time now too. Maybe it is just as broken as the other two.
If there are no other plug-ins that I am missing (tbh I am not really that familiar with Grid and the other addons for it) your best bet would be to use another addon or to just wait for the updates.

I believe that the plugins to grid that you mentioned arent working as they rely on ace2. WHich is no longer part of the grid build.
Simply install the ace2 lib/app yourself, and you should see your grid plugins function.

I play Moonkin and ever since relied on CD display addons. I found the best one in TellMeWhen (needtoknow is similar, but not as nice at all), but it is broken in 4.0.1, as well as Elkano's Buff Bars (my former Tree of Life HoT tracker).
1.) I've tried Power Auras Classic some time ago and deleted it because of too many options. I installed it yesterday once more and found my judgement reassured.
2.) At first glance, Class Timers seemed to be too highly configurable as well, unfortunately.
3.) I already use CoolLine Cooldowns, but it's not the first visualization I look at, so I'd like to have something bigger and with icons.
So my question here is - what do you use (instead)? Anything out there quite simple and working in 4.0?

I use OmniCC (shows CD on the skill) but also Forte Xorcist (hope I didn't mispell). However, since my fps got up with the new patch I went back to Power Auras as well.
As for CDs there is also an addon called Sexy Cooldowns but I have never really used it much. Tho there are people who like it. Can't confirm if it's working in 4.0.

Did some searching but I can't find anywhere if Blizzard changed Growl to be melee-hit based now, or if it still goes by spell-hit.
Can anyone help me out with this?

Since the growl glyph was removed and I remember there being talk about taunt miss mechanics being changed, I did some testing. As a naked, unbuffed level 80 night elf bear (0 hit rating) I did not miss a single growl out of around 200 against the Heroic Training Dummy in Darnassus. There are similar results for taunt being reported by warriors.
It appears to be the case currently that growl either cannot miss or has 100% hit chance against boss-level mobs.
