Yes, especially when there can be spell misses and it does not proc from our DoTs.
I wanted to do a set of 5 - 7 mins tests, since that's usually how long raid encounters last these days(maybe not for end bosses), but it's getting late.

2.2% of my total damage... almost 300 DPS. I was happy enough about it, until we went to BWD and tryed Atramedes and Chimaeron...

In long tries (3-4-5 min long) it could be between not a single procc out of 5 million damage done, to almost 4% of my total damage on another long try.

It is more likely not a PPM trinket but a flat and very low chance to procc

The odd thing was that, one of our pally tanks was wearing the trinket too, and he got three times more proccs than me:

I had 7.14% haste with 2pcs 352 pvp gears, 7.64% with full pve gears. But i do not think Haste is really important here, since overall haste value is just too low to make an impact on our rotation, what matters is how many direct attacks we do, i.e. CS, Auto Shot, AS, KS or Multi Shot maybe Imp Serpent Sting (on AoE), and of course Luck...

I read the circle like "Is there no a Prot Warrior then use a raptor". Is that correct ?
The last circle (starting with arms warrior) is then being read like
"Is there no arms warrior then use a hyena". However you did that same check four steps earlier.
Do arms warrior /feral druids gain damage from the hyena debuff ? If so then I suppose yes and no should be swapped for that circle.

I did several 5 minute tests with the Darkmoon Card and came to a similar conclusion as MetallicaRulez0. I had between 2.2 and 2.6 PPM with 8.06% haste and exactly 961 hit and it did miss. On one test it missed twice. It was still pulling around 1.7-1.8% of my overall dps, but I'm concerned about the proc rate and very concerned about it being on the spell hit table instead of ranged hit.

Based on what I've seen so far this trinket is way too RNG for me to predictably use it in raids. I've got a 346 trinket that has agility and procs crit that seems to be a much more stable dps trinket and in some test runs it outperformed the darkmoon card.

All in all I'm a little sad that I even bought this thing.

Preliminary testing suggests that it's 1PPM with no ICD
It is based off of Spell hit and Spell crit


For people who are unfamiliar with PPM effects that don't have an ICD:
Proc Rate = PPM / (60 / weaponspeed)

ex. DMC: H is expected to be 1PPM. with a 3.0speed weapon the chance to proc Lightning Strike per attack is:

Proc Rate = 1 /(60/3) = 1/20 or 5%

That proc rate is then used for every attack that can proc the ability. For a survival hunter those are: auto attack, explosive shot, cobra shot, arcane shot. More testing is require to determine if Dot applications, dot ticks or Imp SrS can proc.

This is likely why it is performing so far under our expectations. If Explosive Shot and Black Arrow initial applications could proc the effect, it would be much closer to our initial expectations a few weeks ago. I would be interested to see if anyone has this trinket AND 4pc T11, to see if the 4pc Black Arrow bonus can proc the trinket.

The ticks of the dots sure, but 30min does not confirm that the initial application of Explosive Shot does not proc.

The initial hit of ES counts as DoT in combat logs as well, so don't think it will work.
