Are there any hard calculations on the scaling of scorpid poison? My damage ratio is almost exactly 50:50 with my pet, and its not uncommon for my pet to pull over 2k dps. I guess my real question is: Is there a point (likely an AP value) where the cat passes the scorpid, or the scorpid passes the cat, and how far can I trust the DPS spreadsheet for pet dps?

Here's a
Naxx-10 Patchwerk WWS with me using a Scorpid.
* Highest tick of Scorpid Poison was 3.2K. I've seen above 4.4K in 25-mans.
* My pet accounted for 2273 DPS out of 4349...or 52%.
* Second place did 172K less damage and 740 less DPS.
Keep in mind that you might miss useful pet talents like Bloodthirsty and Heart of the Phoenix. Then again my scorpid has a 4K hp advantage on my cat as well, which gives it a decent cushion on AoE and splash damage.
Another potential drawback is its tendency to generate very high TPS...higher than any other non-tank in the raid without the same emergency aggro-dumps afforded to player characters. And of course, only one hunter may use a scorpid in a raid.
