Hey Rivkah, first wanted to thank you for all your hard work on this great tool.

I have a concern related to the two trinkets [Hawkmaster's Talon] and [Jade Bandit Figurine]. From everything I can tell, these two are identical trinkets with different names and sources. However, I'm seeing the Figurine to be a 366 DPS increase over the Talon in my gear. Is this an oversight, or is there something I'm not aware of?

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. It looks like they changed the use effect on these trinkets at one point to be 3595 agil instead of 2822 agil. I had updated the figurine but it looks like I missed the update to the talon. I just fixed it now to use the new proc data, so they should sim identically now. Let me know if you notice any other issues.

For reference, there is a link in the FAQ to view the proc data I'm using for most items in the system, so if you're ever curious if there's a modeling issue for a proc or use effect, you can always take a look and see whether what's in there matches what you think it should be. Sometimes these things get changed and I don't always notice, so it's always good to have other folks paying attention

I've updated the site to support the latest Lynx Rush formula (66 + 2.9% RAP per stack) when PTR support is enabled. This change brings the results closer to live (in my initial tests, I saw Lynx Rush dps go down slightly for SV but up more than slightly for BM).

I also wanted to note that the Careful Aim change (from 90% to 80%) will not be automatically supported, because the Careful Aim range is a user setting. So in order to simulate that, you just need to change the percentage of the fight that you're in careful aim range under the setting. This also means that when this patch goes live, I'll be changing the default setting accordingly, but old settings will need to be manually updated.

Just an FYI, 5.1 looks like it's coming out tomorrow so I've made the 5.1 changes applied by default on the site. I also changed the default setting for Careful Aim range to 15% of the fight, but if you have saved settings you'll have to update yours.

I do not yet have support for item upgrades as the data available is fairly sparse. WoWDB has upgraded stats for many items but I'm not aware of an easy way to parse the data so I can start adding support, and I've been unable to find an up to date and reliable formula for calculating the information myself (everything I can find is a few years old and I'm not sure how accurate it is). Armory also does not look like it will have support for item upgrades initially when 5.1 comes out. So I will work on getting it in, but it may take a bit. In the meantime you can work around it by using custom stats, but I know it's not ideal.

Initial item upgrade support is now available. Note that some items are still missing (primarily trinkets) and in some cases the stats may not exactly match what you see on WoWDB or Wowhead. Let me know if those stats don't match what the game has though, in theory this formula I'm using should be accurate but there may be exceptions.

Also note that armory does not currently support item upgrades, so you will have to manually select them once importing your character.

Thanks to Zakalwe of simc for patiently walking me through the formulas simc is using to calculate item scaling so I could import the proper item values into my site.

How is the bleed from lynx rush implemented with regard to readiness? Namely, does it recast it only after the bleed has fallen off?

I did some quick testing against a dummy and found that using a second lynx rush before the first DOT has expired will refresh the 9-stack debuff but cause you to lose 1 tick of the bleed (13 instead of 14). This should be a DPS loss normally, but the wild card is parries which do prevent the debuff from stacking. Overlapping them guarantees the second lynx rush gets 7 ticks of 9 stacks at the cost of the final tick of the first lynx rush. I'm not sure how to figure out the actual chance for a parry due to the seemingly random nature of the jumping around pets do, and possibly the size of the enemies hitbox as a factor.

Right now I have it being delayed until right after the bleed expires. I debated trying to refresh at the last tick but it was difficult to implement properly and I decided the difference in damage wouldn't be significant in most cases (since typically you only have one tick less than 9 stacks anyhow). It's hard to really perfectly implement the new Lynx Rush due to the parry issue, which I can't accurately reflect in the sim.

It shouldn't be too hard to napkin math the scenarios to see which way would produce the most damage under that scenario.

On Lynx Rush and parrying, would it be an idea to simply use the inherited expertise for the pet to fudge the damage number for an approximation and arbitrarily saying X% of attacks during LR occurs from the front when used on a single target, so X% * (15-ExP)% damage reduction for 3.75% damage reduction of LR if perfectly capped hit and exp and abitrarily deciding every second attack is from the front.
Or would it be better to simply caveat the result of LR with it being possibly less due to parries.

I do approximate the damage loss from parries and apply it to the total damage done, the problem is that with the stacking bleed mechanism, when you get the parry has an effect (since it will change whether you get 7 or less stacks on the first tick), and estimating the effect of that requires more effort. It's something I probably should do at some point, but my current implementation doesn't take that into account.

I don't know that the item is really good enough to justify putting custom support in for it. Do you have any idea what the proc rate is?

I have two minor bug reports. I checked the known issues and FAQ and didn't see these listed so I'm not sure if they're only happening to me or not.
1. Whenever I load my character from the armory, it always fails the first time claiming it timed out (even though it's not as long as I'd expect it to be for a real timeout). When I click load a second time, it always works (assuming the API is up), and pretty much instantly. This only occurs when I'm specifying a pet in the armory import box. This has been happening for me since at least MoP came out. It's not usually a big deal since I just hit load a second time.

2. You're probably aware of this, but upgrade levels don't seem to be importing yet.

This is an issue with the fact that the data I need to load pets only comes from the HTML version of the armory and it seems to not go through on the first try a lot. I'm not really sure why but since pet data isn't really detailed at this point I'm actually planning to just remove the pet import option and have people manually select a pet and spec (I may default it to ferocity). In the meantime I just wouldn't specify a pet.

Armory doesn't give upgrade data yet, so I can't import until they add that unfortunately.

There is currently no support for the regular heroic version of Waterborne Shoulderguards (509 Version). All others work fine though.
