Thanks for the reminder. When I initially put in upgrade data, this trinket was missing it in the simulationcraft data file. But it's on wowhead now so I have copied the upgrade stats from there.

Now that we have item data for the T15 sets I have implemented prelimiary support for the set bonuses. Note that I'm still a little fuzzy on some of the details of the bonuses and I'm not 100% sure I implemented the RealPPM mechanic properly, so take the numbers with a grain of salt.

I did import the bulk of new PTR items into the site, but I'm holding off on putting in the new trinkets until I have more data on how they work and I'm holding off on the new legendary gem for the same reason.

I've just updated the site to support the latest reported PTR buffs to several shots (for now I've just implemented them as multipliers till we have the exact formulas). I also added support for some of the new PTR trinkets. I haven't added support for Rune of Reorganization yet as it's going to be rather difficult to add support for so it may take a bit (I have a feeling it'll get tweaked soon as well).

Using DPS neutral BM profile from the best possible dps thread, BM lost ~2.3k dps but I don't remember any changes affecting that spec on the PTR.

Hello,

I have a weird behaviour when I use survival spec with the test environment activated:

When I use Fervor over DB, my DPS increases by 1.5k: The number of ES increases by 6 (76 => 82).
This increase seems to come from the 4-pc bonus: 0.8 k => 2.2k bonus dps (DB => Fervor)

It's as if when I use Fervor, I get 3 more LnD proc.

I've added support for the most recent blue post about changes to Chimera Shot (reduced to a 25% buff), Explosive Shot and Black Arrow (reduced to a 10% buff) on PTR.

Trieste, when reporting issues it helps if you provide a link to your saved setting so I can reproduce your results.

NoGoal, there is no specific PTR change to BM. However I see a report of missing gems so it's possible that setting needs to be updated, it could be related to the changes in the way sha-touched weapons are supported on the site now.

You are right, even though it's stated that the sha gem is disabled in the neutral case, DPS numbers given in the thread are with the gem hence the difference.

Sorry for the outage last night guys- looks like I missed something when moving to the new temporary server. I'm still working on a longer term hosting solution but in the meantime the site should be functioning, except that stat valuations are disabled to keep load down.

I didn't realize the calculations were actually being done server side. Have you considered porting the logic to Javascript and just run everything client-side? Or creating a GUI on top of the server and ship them as a unit?

Porting the whole thing to Javascript would be a huge amount of effort and I'm not sure it'd perform that well client side- my experience with javascript hasn't led me to believe it can handle large amounts of calculations efficiently in a browser. It would also require way more time than I have these days.

I got the Raid Finder version of this and it has much better stats but when I replace the LFR version of Bottle of Infinite Stars, my dps drops by 400. How can this be? It should be a direct upgrade from the lower level trinket shouldn't it?

I tested it on a dummy and I got 6 procs in 5 minutes with the last proc going off while the previous one was still active. I had 6 or 7 of the Gnomes up at once. I switched back to the bottle of stars and it also procced 6 times in 5 minutes. Obviously the buff from Bad Juju is much better and that was reflected in a significantly higher dps number.

If I load my char as a BM profile ("cauthon-bm") and run the analyzer, then add 1000 haste manually, then run it again, I get one fewer executions of Kill Command. This shouldn't really ever happen as KC shouldn't ever get delayed based on any abilities that haste affects. Also, Dire Beast doesn't seem to increase in its number of attacks when haste goes up, but it's been tested to actually gain fractional hits as haste increases (ie some summons they get an extra hit or not, with haste seeming to smoothly influence it). I've personally tested the haste case and it does seem to be the case -- depending on your haste, you do get different numbers of DB hits.

I'm trying to reconcile inconsistencies between FD and simc and that one stands out; other abilities seem to be pretty close in their reflection in overall dps when the haste is added.

The main issue with FD is that fight duration is a fixed time every iteration, not like simc where theres a fluctuation in fight lenght. That can make adding or substracting a single point in haste rating to change the overall DPS/breakdown quite a bit, and get weird numbers for stat values like negative ones. Also the equilibrium between haste and crit is so weak with this implementation that it can also affect greatly Wild Hunt uptimes, etc. FD is great for anything but for haste related tests and stuff (if any simulator is)

simc can be configured to not vary fight length; in fact, that's what I use when testing this kind of thing, for precisely those reasons. It's still possible to get stable weights. The big thing is any fight, even with absolutely fixed duration, has randomness from procs that mean you need many runs to get a stable valuation.

There's something else going on besides the fight duration limit; that can't be the sole explanation. Haste should never reduce the number of KCs. Ever.
