The easiest way I found to help in automating from my HoD to my Int Daggers is to use the Armor Mod "Outfitter". When you set up your gear, you can specifically identify which armor you want on your character when you switch Aspects. So, when Hawk is up, I have the HoD equipped and when I have to switch to Viper, I have Outfitter switch to the mana daggers. Very effective.

Sorry if the answer to this question is somewhere obvious, but I looked around for a while and couldn't find it.

Cheeky's spreadsheet has been an absolutely incredible tool for me in regards to figuring out exactly how certain pieces of gear effect me. However the version I have does not contain any of the Sunwell equipment. Having just downed Kalecgos for the first time I need to start figuring out what direction to go in with Sunwell gear. Is a more updated version of Cheeky's spreadsheet available? If so where might I find it? thanks for your time.

Hey guys i've got a question that's been bugging me for quite some time. Let's say i have a shadow priest in my group. Would it be a good idea to chug haste pots in between DST procs? Here's a link to my armory:

Someone brighter than I please shed light on how Scaled Drakeskin Chestguard is rated higher on the Gear Planner tab (+14.60 dps), and on Maxdps than Ranger-General's Chestguard?

I put it in my spreadsheet and it always drops my damage by -13.56 dps.

I lose -8 agility, -14 crit, but gain +14 AP & Haste using epic gems & exceptional stats.

Disregard my Amory, having gems cut for pants and pvp trinket on.

I can't see what I am doing wrong. Or is the Ranger General actually better?

I have read these threads and usually don't have any problems on builds, this one has me confused.

Check that you have the requirements met for your meta gem. Also check the shot rotation tab. At 1.93 speed, a 1:1 modled rotation will pass up a 3:2 (no, dont change your macro in game ).

I guess i'll have to try it out. Last night i noticed that sometimes i equip my 2 1h but viper doesnt trigger. And the problem i was running into aswell was that both 1h weap are the same so /equip Breeching Comet would only equip 1 weap and not the other even if i type it twice.

I'm survival and raiding t5 content as well as the first couple of bosses in hyjal. My gear is about half kara and the rest is SSC epics/crafted. In a raid I do around 600 dps which is half the DPS of the other hunters in the raid. My attack speed is 2.52

My question is... what kind of macro should I be using to up my dps, and if it's a 2:3 macro where can I find a good example of one? (I'm macro challenged)

Do haste effects reduce the GCD of Steady Shot? It certainly looks like the hunter spreadsheet thinks it does, but I've received conflicting information from the threads on these forums.

The question I have is how is it our resident Survival Hunter (Isidoro) is missing on shots when he's well above his hit cap of 95? His Auto-Shot miss chance vs All Bosses is 1.2% Mitigation I can understand; a certain amount is going to get blocked and there's really nothing to be done, but flat out misses....?

I am only doing about 800 DPS. I'm sure it has something to do do with my shot rotation. I couldn't find Cheeky's spreadsheet everyone was talking about so I'm posting this. My armory info is there. I really just need to know the order of shots I should be doing. Usually I just do Arcane, Multi then Steady until my other shots are back up.

In terms of a macro, I would suggest getting Manito's (aka the /cast/cast macro). It can be found at:

Shard of Contempt is a terrible trinket for hunters--expertise does nothing for us. Please mail to it my Retadin asap. If that doesn't work, and you're having bad luck with drops, the [Darkmoon Card: Crusade] is a decent option.

Changing your trinket and using the macro should show a substantial improvement over 800 dps (assuming your lag isn't off the charts).

Sorry I've been out of the loop on hunter for a while, since my guild needed a good resto druid I began maining him. Also not sure if this should go in the Help me please thread or this one, due to it being strictly SV based.

Before I switched to my druid I was 24/37 (MM/SV) using 1:1 and putting Arcane or Multi after the steady whenever they are up. Since my guild now actually needs my hunter on some nights, I went to SV to help our raid out and to be quite frank, much of it is over my head currently, so I'm looking for any help possible before tonights raid.

My main questions are what would be a good rotation for me to use going 7/20/34 because I tried the 1:1 and using specials every CD and I'm going oom far too quickly without Thrill while I'm potting every CD. I reverted back to my 3:2 BM macro for the current moment for lack of anything better. The second question for me would be is 7/20/34 a decent spec for me, or do I not have the gear to support it? Or course any other help is welcome as well (I do know I am over the hit cap, however if you look at my gear, there is only one gem socketed for hit and that I need to keep because of BM spec. Obviously I will upgrade the 6/8Agi gems into 10s and replace the orange in my head for a 10 Agi as well). Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

well i'm finally getting into Heroics and raiding.
I was doing pvp for a while and didn't pve, hence the crap gear.

Still shooting for sunfury, and drape of the dark reavers for +hit so i can regem more agi. Also changing belt of the eagle for belt of deep shadow. I only have about 13 badges so far since i got back so it will be a while till i get any badge gear.

Now that i'm back in, i'm still going to use survival as the guild i'm in will benefit from it since they don't currently have one, and not to mention I really like playing survival.

As far as gear goes, I still have alot of gear that needs to be replaced as I make the gear switch from pvp to pve and raiding more will hopefully bring it.

Currently self buffed (elixir of major agility, warp burger, and scroll of agility V) i'm only at 840agi.
raid buffed (kings, gift of the wild, grace of air) i'm only at 1044, but ew is up most of the time.

My concern is that i'm not bringing in my best personal dps due to the bad macro i'm running, if i am. I do know i was ready for a bit of a personal dps loss going survival, but the juice was worth the squeeze. Guild already has 5 BM hunts.

wws account, client, /combatlog on/off, logout, upload....the get error (invalid log).

seems to be fairly common.

skunkone: drop the castsequence macros -- google manito's shot macro. Just spam that while manually inserting arcane/multi when they are up.

With the KC lockup bug no longer a problem, why would one use Manito's more complex setup than the normal 3:2 macro?

Maybe its just bad luck, but when i use KC in my normal 3:2 macro it still locks up. Actually it locks up worse then it did before. It was so bad I just stopped using KC all together, my dps went up. I can manually use it if I want.

That sounds like really strange KC behavior. Even when I wasn't using Manito's macro, (just a /cast Kill Command line, in fact), I had maybe 1 lockup an hour at absolute worst, and I was playing in 100-450ms lag. Using Manito's, the lockups were reduced to maybe 1 every 2 weeks or so (extremely rare), and only while farming (mobs constantly dying while spamming KC are asking for trouble). Now with the patch out, I haven't seen a single lockup.

Perhaps you should post the macro that is giving you the trouble (with KC included in it

Im only using the /cast /cast macro with LB and KC back to back. being surv if im not hasted it ends up being a 2:1 roation tho, and pretty tight. So im thinking its more the GCD causing a problem then locking up actually.
