It's certainly not a dramatic increase in DPS. 2 more then sunwell necks actually.. lol. But it's interesting to see a neck that performs rather poorly when you first get it turn around and stack to the point where it's one of the top necks later on.

Changing [Cloak of Fiends] to [Thalassian Wildercloak] I get a 8dps upgrade with the current SS.

Train, you have to recalculate the shot rotations after you switch a piece of haste gear in or out.

LW is at least ten times better than enchanting for raid dps.

When you reach a certain crit rate you'll be giving your ravager or cat more focus than he can actualy use. While spamming gore or bite every gcd. Windserpents on the other hand have one big special attack that costs alot of foucs. When you are able to give him enough focus to use it as close to every gcd as possible, it is higher dps. With a 33% raidbuffed critrate i've had trouble getting my windserpent to beat my ravager in dps on brutallus. Well to say the least it's streaky, some attempts he'll be higher most he'll be lower.

Also, yes LW is by far the best raiding profession due to drums, but this is not modeled in the spreadsheet.

188 haste rating with a 2.8 bow and BM skills. That's a lot isn't it.

Delicate Fire Ruby doesn't actually exist in game, so let's not use that.

Also, under your cloak 'enchant' you linked Elixir of Greater Agility... not the 12 agility cloak enchant itself. I'm sure your cheeky's is listed correctly, as it only has a few options available, but it did make me go 'huh?'

Also you used more buffs than Midnight put forward as standards for the sake of better comparison. Please re-calculate, and re-post your results, using the buff/debuff guidelines in the first post of this thread, as I would enjoy seeing what the numbers look like:

It doesn't look much at all like Tuna God's setup. If the best setup didn't include the legendary bow, I would flip my lid.

now after changing [Band of the Eternal Champion] to [Angelista's Revenge]
[Embrace of the Phoenix] to [Bladed Chaos Tunic] (same gems)
[Shivering Felspine] to dual weilding [Shiv of Exsanguination] with +20 agi enchants on each
and [Crossbow of Relentless Strikes] to [Golden Bow of Quel'Thalas]

Now i'm pushing 2538 DPS with:
Hunter DPS: 1955
Pet DPS: 582
same shot rotation still.

Why are Starstalker Leggings worse than Leggings of the Immortal Night? I know nobody has said that but it hasn't showed up in any of the builds. Is it due to the strange socket colors and lack of armor penetration?

Armor penetration is the reason.

As i have just recently specced to surv (our surv hunter quit), i was wondering if any1 has ben bothered to put together a best dps SV gear set up, obv taking into account EW AP and not soly focusing on personal dps.

I fixed them. like I had said. The circumstance where i had over 2600DPS was a mishap. after fixing it i had hit the 2480s DPS range. Now that thats behind us, no you don't need the legendary to hit over 2500 DPS.

And once I have time ill try to work on a marksmanship and survival specialization spreadsheet.

Send midnight your 2480 spreadsheet then, so she can verify it and link it in the first post so everyone can see the gear used.

First time I try this, so bear with me if I made a mistake somewhere. Amazing how bored you can get from time to time



I am gonna screw the legendary bow until I see it on live realms, so for now I am pretty much gonna use Kamaa's setup and work from that. Its not a lot difference, but at the end I manage slightly more and I guess that is what all this about

My pet does slightly less dmg, while the hunter does slightly more. Couldn't exactly figure out why the pet does less dmg, but perhaps someone can give me a pointer.

First off. With the gem vendor almost out, I had to figure out which gems are the best with my current gear. After much testing with the spreadsheet. This is what I came up with.

1 Meta: relentless earthen diamond
2 yellows: wicked pyrestone
2 blues: infused shadowsong amethyst
the rest reds: bright crimson spinel

Not after finishing this compilation I head over to the thread "best possible dps using cheeky's spreadshee". According to that gear setup they have different gem priority's. How is it some gear setups have agility outperforming then attack power, while other gear setup favors attack power over agility. Is it the pet? Is there a cut line for attack power? Is there a cut line for crit %?

The more crit you have, the more your AP is worth compared to crit. (the damage gain from the AP will crit more)

The more AP you have, the more your crit is worth compared to AP. (base damage is higher, and crit is a % increase in damage)

This will cause varying item-budget worth for AP/crit for different individuals based on their current stats.

Thanks for the input. I'm currently looking into what the cutline is for those stats. I put up a reply on the theorycraft post. So if anyone else knows what the cutlines are, I'll be happy to know.

With changing the QS rotation to 1:1 auto/steady (2518,32 dps) and

changing [Hard Khorium Band] to [Angelista's Revenge]

I'll get 2525.05 dps instead of 2516.39 !

Recalculate your unhasted shot rotation for the loss of haste. It comes out to be higher dps when you have quick shot or DST up, but lower when you don't. Lower overall dps as well.

I don't intend on replacing my angelistas with a hard khorium band in game due to other haste buffs such as pots and drums which often fill portions of the unhasted time and are not modeled in the spreadsheet.
