I don't know about Vanish, but since you can't change gear anymore while FD'ing in a bossfight (can't drink also), I assume you won't be able to sit out the debuff that way.

Pin nerfed serverly:
Pin Rank 6
80 Focus 5 yd range
Instant 1 min cooldown
Pins the target in place, and squeezes for 108 damage over 4 sec.
Cooldown increased on Nether Shock:
Nether Shock Rank 6
30 Focus 20 yd range
Instant 1 min cooldown
Instantly lashes an enemy for 49 to 69 Shadow damage. Also interrupts spellcasting and prevents any spell in that school from being cast for 2 sec.
Bad Attitude duration nerfed:
Bad Attitude Rank 5
25 Focus 5 yd range
Instant 3 min cooldown
Snap back for 86 to 122 damage at any target that strikes you for the next 45 sec.
dust cloud also nerfed:
Dust Cloud
50 Focus
Instant 40 sec cooldown
Your tallstrider kicks up an obscuring cloud of dust, causing all enemies within 10 yards to miss their next attack. Lasts for 8 sec.

I doubt you will get the debuff after one pot. I'm guessing there is probably something along the lines of you can only drink 3 pots without leaving combat.
Any of the people on beta willing to test?
Get a mob to attack your pet so you're in combat and keep him on passive and just growl when it comes of CD and try drinking 4 or 5 pots without leaving combat. Anymore then that and it doesn't matter since with a 2min CD on pots that would be a 8-10min boss fight.

The potion sickness is after the first potion.
Master's Call is now implemented. Havn't tested it yet, but it doesn't have the NYI tag and it shows up in my spellbook now.

In my opinion this change is connected to changes in raid mechanic. Now raids will not only have to stack dps, but also stack in combat regeneration. Depending from class it may increase role of spirit or class abilities that regen mana to group like shadow priest.
Good or bad, it is change that we will need to adopt in raid composition. Possible solution may be like 2 shadow priest mana regen group where RL do swap mana users(healers) in fight for mana regeneration. Several classes have gained 2% mana regen abilities through talents. Raiders will have to use them to survive through longer bossfights.
Current fights are not designed with mana usage restrictions in mind, but for WolTK we(raiders) will have to work around this mechanic. Actually this does not hit hunters very much because we do have acceptable way of regenerating mana in fight with Aspect of Viper, but lot of other classes/specs do not have viable way to offset their mana usage.

They can use their Bite now though as a dump, which puts em back to the same level as all the other pets, except for the fact that their special is mostly useless now.

Overall, mana potting won't be the necessity it is at the moment, hence the reason for potion sickness. Got to break those junkies of their injector habit.

Bite can't dump the focus fast enough as BM with GftT and BD. And being a cunning pet instead of ferocity, spammable LB was the only chance it could have had to remain a high dps pet.
Although honestly, devilsaurs look very exciting. I'd justify the 6 points for style alone. (Can't wait to go un'goro hunting)

It worked slightly differently when warlocks were able to do this for Felguards for a while, the kicker here being we'd have to go re-tame and level.

Edit: Found source. WoW Forums -> Beast Mastery and respecs
"As far as what happens if you have an exotic pet and respec, most likely the pet's talents will just reset. Yeah you get a free pet respec out of the deal, but it's not as if it's free since the hunter has to respec. Any exotic pets in the stable won't be lost, but you wouldn't be able to get them out of the stable either. If you have an exotic pet at the moment you respec, then it will probably be dismissed (but not abandoned) and you won't be able to summon it again, forcing you to go swap it into the stable. (Or abandon it if you're THAT kind of hunter.)"

I understand all of the excitement over devilsaurs and exotic pets at the moment, but i would ask that we try and keep discussion on the topic to what is actually confirmed. I'd prefer not to read through several pages of speculation, filled with "likely", "most likely", and "probably".
I'm pretty sure most of us can figure out ways they could make this work, but i'd rather hear from people that can actually confirm the way it is working.

Do the devilsaurs require extra meat to retain their happiness? (I'd hope so, to help suspend disbelief!)
Does the game change the pathing of the Devilsaur depending on its size?

Eh? I thought it was 1AP per Int for 3/3 last build too. What changed?

I recognize that the majority of hunters are BM and will certainly look forward to their devilsaurs; however, this build's pet family skill changes make the options for non-BM hunters somewhat murkier. I will be raiding SV in WotLK (Expose Weakness, and hopefully Hunting Party and Explosive Shot remain useful). My plan before today had been to continue with my GFTT-powered Windserpent for reasonably competitive dps. Sadly, it seems that he is now to be relegated to the dustbin of history.
Despite the grossly inferior pet stats, lack of a viable happiness mechanic, and halving of the mana regen effect, I want to like Cunning. Clearly, the caveats are starting to stack up, but I still cling to hope. For Cunning pets, I think the sporebat is the best of what's left. 700 ARP is, assuming it stacks properly, almost an extra Sunder Armor. As SV, it will not be possible to keep the debuff at 100% uptime, but it shouldn't be implausible to manage. Of course, the phrase "AE DoT" inherently makes me nervous, but that's the skill test, I assume. Considering its 50 focus cost, I'm still planning GFTT. I don't see any way to manage it otherwise, especially with any hope of a Roar of Recovery. Determining how often I'm able to focus dump to Smack may require some trial and error.
Have I overlooked anything? Are there other viable options for a support-themed SV pet? And can we hope for Carrion Feeder to be replaced with something vaguely on par with Bloodthirsty?
Also, re: potions, the potion timer is still 2 minutes. This is in addition to the potion sickness debuff. If you leave combat in less than 2 minutes, sickness fades but potions are still on cooldown. If you are in combat for over 2 minutes, the cooldown refreshes, but sickness still prevents use.

It will be though considering a blue hinted at devilsaurs being an exotic pet and Beast Mastery skill is NYI. So to test the pets out they made it tamable to all.

I have had no problem with carrion feeder in Beta. Tops Faraday off fine and heals for a good amount at the same time. It not an active ability but doesnt take much to remember to use.
Anyone else noted the Agi Elixir change? no more crit, it instead giver a flat 45 agi.

Anyone else notice the new talent charts over at mmo? Maybe i'm blind but they seem to but short 1 Kill Shot and plus 1 Black Arrow.
Good for PVP, bad for PVE it would seem.
All talents that made mention of Kill Shot still mention it though.
(Mind you I can't access the talent calculator at work, only the talents and skills pages so i'm not sure what it shows)

It will be. It's intended to be an Exotic - it's just that Beast Mastery is still NYI and they threw us a bone to play with.
On Potion Sickness - Yes, it happens after *one* potion. Potion cooldowns are also still 2 minutes. It does pretty much drop immediately when you leave combat so you can "FD it off", but you obviously can't FD it off during a combat-locked boss encounter.
Also, a little birdy told me that what does does is open the door for MUCH more powerful potion effects and that the consumable issues will be a lot better. You'll enjoy the change.

Kill Shot just isn't on the trainers yet - it's still there and will be put in (it's level 80 anyways). Every class gets two new trained abilities and that's our second one.
Bear Trap is in btw! It looks like an actual bear *Trap* - like the big ones you'd see in Chuck Jones cartoons. I kinda figured it would, but bears coming out would have been awesome.

If you haven't seen the video on mana and rogue energy regeneration, it basically is constantly regenerating instead of having 'ticks'. Anyone know if pet focus is going to regenerate in the same way?
