You're getting this on the overview tab right? That one doesn't care if you're hit capped and it's sort of irrelevant, those stat weights are meant for loot rank or just to determine how important each stat is not if you actually need more of it or not.

Also the gearplanner will only value hit high if the slot listed already has a +hit item on, which when replacing it would cause you to go below hit cap and thus make us of any potential hit on the item itself. Other slots won't do the same and you should see +hit items listed as low as you'd expect when you're hit capped.

In your sheet using this talent adds 0 dps. I've been testing this talent and it does add damage to when fighting a dummy. However, it occurred to me bosses tend to be immune to the dazed-effect. Can i get this acknowledged? I'd like to be certain of this so i can remove it from my spec.

It does damage because it's still an auto shot. That talent is not increasing the damage of your auto shot though, regardless of whether the target is immune to daze effects.

Update:
- Redid the whole profile saving/loading system to make it easier to change and easier to export/share
- 2t8 now affects CS-Serpent again
- Shots that are off the GCD do not incur Latency any more on the rotation test tab
- 2nd Waist gem socket now loads from Armory again
- Fixed Gem stats for main/off-hand weapons
- Changed the Rotation Test so you can set the fight length in seconds instead of the number of shots. It will also correctly start using Kill Shot at 20% (20% being the last 20% of the fight). Setting kill shot usage to 'Never' on the Settings tab will disable this.
- Signet of Edward the Odd now actually gives haste from the proc when equipped
- Piercing Shots calculations now moved to each individual shot
- You can now opt to save the shot priority queue with a saved talent spec
- Latency now set in ms instead of seconds
- Shot Rotation Test tab now also computes IAotHawk uptime
- 4t8 now 10% proc chance as per Wowhead
Should also have the correct stats for the last few ranged weapon upgrades.

When attempting to load gear from armory fails ("Server is down or otherwise unavailable"), the spreadsheet does not always cancel loading.
When this occurs, I get error messages like the following:
'Helm of the Furnace Master' is not a known item for slot 'Neck', do you wish to try and load it from the Armpory?

In other words, after a armory load fail, it sometimes still manages to load some gear, but tries to assign it to the incorrect slot. It then goes through every slot and does the same. On every slot, it will wait for armory timeout before moving on to the next slot.

Possible to have Latency saved with profiles? Everytime I switch between 2 saved talent specs it resets to 200 and I want to model my actual latency a little closer.

In fact it keeps resetting my entire rotation when I change talent specs.

When using "Export to File" with the new version 89 spreadsheet, it pops up the error "Run-time Error '53': File not found". I created an empty Hunter_DPS_export.bin file by hand, and then was able to successfully export.

Latency is tied to a rotation so if you are using the built-in saved specs you need to save the spec with your desired latency first. Also latency is saved with the profile itself as well.

The 'reset to 200' is merely the sheet loading the 200ms in the built-in specs.

@Aileen:
Good catch, it's not checking whether the file exists before (trying to) deleting it. Classic error. I've re-uploaded a quick fix for this.

I see I've forgotten to fix that typo. Also debugging the armory download is a bit tricky since the Armory is so unpredictable in what data it actually turns out.

You should be able to use the 3rd socket regardless whether you have the Belt Buckle as an enchant selected.

Hard mode was checked off in the gear planner in the v89 spreadsheet. Select it and that should fix your problem.

The spreadsheet is slightly broken on this part. For me hardmodes was ticked from the start, but the guns didn't show up even after running ranged weapons. I had to remove the tick from hardmodes, tick it again and then do another ranged weapons.

going for?

Check the current page of the Marksman thread for a discussion of this very topic, including spreadsheet modelling. The spreadsheet hasn't yet been adjusted for the 3.1.3 changes, so you're not likely to get an easy answer here.

most likely under (de)buffs you have it set to already receive the benefit from a hunters mark that is not yours and that it is set to both (IHM and glyph) so when you alter your glyph and talents it doesnt affect anything.

As for the buff to HM next patch, it is being discussed a little in the MM and SV threads

short answer: initial indication is that IMH will be a little better than IB or ISS assuming those are where the points would be otherwise.

For the next release can we have the new hunter buffs to play with.

* Hunter's Mark: The ranged attack power bonus from this ability has been increased from 300 to 500.
* Master Marksman: This talent now also decreases the cost of Aimed Shot and Chimera Shot by 5/10/15/20/25%.

200 AP increase should change how many hunters in the raid make hunters mark talents and glyphs viable. Maybe an option could be added for how much raid dps would be increase by this added AP to other hunters. I know that pulls away from the idea the spreadsheet only accounts for personal dps, but a side listing of how much dps per hunter from glyph and talents alone (not the base AP) would be very helpful.

There is no way the sheet can easily give a meaningful answer to this. There are too many factors unaccounted for from the 'other hunters'.

Your best bet is just to take your personal dps increase with IHM and multiply it by the amount of hunters you have in the raid while subtracting the dps loss from taking IHM and not taking other talents (if any because it sure looks like taking IHM is now a no-brainer for at least 1 hunter).

Update:
- Hunter's Mark top rank now 500 AP
- Master Marksman reduces Aimed/Chimera Shot mana by 5/10/15/20/25%

Strange issue with the latest sheet - I've been playing around between MM and SV builds - however no matter what spec I'm using, the Gear Planner shows the Valorous Cryptstalker Spaulders as BIS over all other gear. (Yes, I've sorted)

That's because swapping it would break your 2 piece bonus.

Is it a safe bet that the best plan in upgrading would be to get 2 pieces of T8 before wearing them? I hadn't realized the 2 piece set bonus had that much of an impact.

Gem question

Appreciate the massive amount of time you guys have spent on this Spreadsheet.

My question is, I'm losing a large amount of DPS by doing this sequence of events

Stock Equipment (6894 dps)
replacing my T7.5 chest w/ T8.5 chest (6932 dps)
regemming "Vivid Forest Emerald" to "Shifting Twilight Opal" (6804 dps)

total loss of 128 dps.

Equiping the chest puts me .5% over the hit cap. So I regem to remove 16 hit rating and bring in 16 agi, while maintaining the gems for my meta, yet I'm losing an enormous amount of dps when I should be gaining a little by regemming.

Appreciate any help.
