Thanks for the replies.

@Azurei: I removed all green TBC gems because they were bloating the file and the validation list. And these days practically everybody is using epic or at the very least blue gems.

@Flouyd: Focused Aim was missing yes. Given that I was one of the people testing it I must've forgotten to actually enable it.

@Vith: Interesting idea. I'll have to think about it.

Was toying around with the spreasheet and noticed that Invigoration affects my calculated dps output, a difference of 28 with or without 2/2 invigoration. I dont see how mana regen has anyting to do with my dps, i dont have mana problems at all on bosses.

It's set to use Viper when you run out of mana. Note that is based on a 15 minute fight (not the 2mins burst fests we have now in TBC). So Invigoration leads to less use viper, hence more DPS.

currently, "raids are bugged manawise - you will never run oom"
the spreadsheet calculates how it really should be - so you would have to switch to viper from time to time.

Viper costs you 50% Dmg (40% as BM).
With Invigoration, you have more manareg, have to switch to viper less often, which results in DPS gain.

/e: shandara was clearly faster =)

1. I've been meaning to ask...
Since the Careful Aim RAP bonus is based off of Int, I expected that Int would get some value in AEPs. I was looking at my sheet last night and saw this:

Attribute         DPS
Agility + 1      0.435
AP + 1           0.256
Crit + 1         0.323
0 Hit + 1        0.685
Int + 1          0.707***
ArP Rating+1     0.380
Haste + 1        0.251
Stamina+1        0.000
I just got an upgrade last night (Gronn's gloves) so the values changed but Int hovers somewhere around Hit. Is it really supposed to be that high? I would have expected it to be around AP/RAP since Int = RAP with 3/3 Careful Aim. What else is contributing to the high AEP value for Int? I'm starting to wonder if I shouldn't re-gem some of my gear to take this into account.

2. One thing I've added to my copy of the sheet is a cell that creates a Pawn scale. I don't know how many others use Pawn to evaluate gear but I find it invaluable. It basically just creates a string like the below referencing the different Attribute cells on the Overview tab.

Example: ( Pawn: v1: "Hunter": ArmorPenetration=0.38, RedSocket=3.481, CritRating=0.323, MetaSocket=5.221, Agility=0.435, HasteRating=0.251, BlueSocket=4.112, YellowSocket=4.481, Rap=0.256, HitRating=0.685, Ap=0.256 )

Thanks for all the work that you've put into this sheet. It's an awesome tool... I just wish I knew better how to use it. Need a Shandara's XLS for dummies or something...

Int contributes to higher manapool/faster manaregen - thus lowering Viper-Time -> boosting DPS
therefore it's rated higher compared to AP

Gotta ask if Draenei doubledip on their Hit aura.

Since we now get our Hit transfered, do Draenei pets get 1% from the aura as well as the 1% the Hunter gets? While I would assume not, this is actually a thing I could imagine would slip between the fingers of Blizzard. How is it added in the spreadsheet?

TSA doesn't double dip so I would assume the hit racial is similar.

It's not double dipping on the sheet. I'm taking the +hit from gear and Focused Aim separately, rather than taking the final +hit value of the hunter.

I haven't tested yet whether food buffs and such affect the pet's hit.

Update:
- Focused Aim now affects pets
- Thick Hide (hunter) fixed for Gear-tab
- Added gloves hand enchant Spell Strike (+15 hit)
- JoW now a 50% proc chance, 0sec internal CD 
- Rake now costs 20 focus
Also added a rotation test for the pet (currently hidden so you'll have to unhide it if you want to play with it). It models both bestial discipline/natural regen and GftT. Based on your current crit/hit/shot rate. It uses random (well pseudo-random Rnd()) numbers so make the trial big enough. Just something I made to see whether I could 'simulate' the focus starvation.

I did some testing over the weekend on live and found Chimera Shot - Serpent is affected by mortal shots (but not marked for death). The spreadsheet doesn't seem to be reflecting this.

Looks like the Armory is still bugged. For "Cranch" "Perenolde" "U.S." I get Run-time error '91': Object variable or With block variable not set. (version 76b, Excel 2003.)

The Armory appears to be broken or being maintenanced. If I load your armory page a number of slots are not loading, which is causing the error for the spreadsheet.

As stated by Shandara, Armory may be bugged and/or the Spreadsheet isn't reading it right at the moment. Next release should fix it, unless Blizz plays with their Armory code some more.

I can confirm the armory isn't updating. My talents and items listed there are well over a week old. Other services that access armory, such as WOWJutsu, and this sheet, will of course pick up only what armory is showing.

There appears to be a problem with the Talents tab of the latest version of the spreadsheet. Without doing anything with the Armory, just selecting the "Level 70 50/11 BM spec" and pressing Load Spec I end up with 2 points in Thick Hide and 0 points in Focused Fire. I was curious if it was just a display bug but manually changing the points showed up as a DPS increase. All the other points for that spec seemed to be allocated appropriately.

It's a typo on my part probably. I copied the spec from a linked talent build.

Update:
- Chimera-Shot Serpent effect now affected by Mortal Shots
- Corrected spelling error on Biznicks Accurascope
- Socket Bonuses work again
- Fixed issue with Jin'rohk not working

Pet armor not calculating correctly

Hi it seems the pet armor is not calculating correctly on the spread sheet.

This may only effect tenacity pets I didn't do to much testing trying out other pet branches

Basically with all the armor talents and the tree bonus of 10% your pets armor should increase by at least 150%

I might be wrong about the tree bonus though im not sure. So for safety i tried just 140 percent. My pet 6724 my bonus armor 3116 * 1.40 = 13.7k

The sheet calculated as 12.5k

I wrote a much larger post with more attempts to calculate but the page timed out and I lost it
I hope this helps... I know this is such a minor thing
I didn't know the right formula or the password to the sheet so I didn't try and fix it.

Actually I think there is something more fundamental going on because importing my current spec from the armory was accurate everywhere except Thick Hide/Focused Fire. I'm guessing those two are getting mixed up in parsing somewhere.

I just downloaded v76c, updated profile, manually made sure all values are correct, and it seems hit calculation are off. It is calculating 100% chance to hit lvl 73 boss with only 127 hit, not 142. Is this a bug? Did I miss something regarding patch 3.0 lowering our hit cap?

Did you check to see if you had Draenei Racial box in your buff tab set to yes? Would account for your 1% hit.

If you're not using points in Focused Aim and/or +hit food can you upload the sheet somewhere for me to look at?

Not using hit food, and my hit is actually 145 unbuffed. Here is my armory page: The World of Warcraft Armory

I would be glad to upload the sheet somewhere that you can access it, just not sure where that would be. I can email it as an attachment if you want to do it that way. If that works for you, I would be very greatful for the help. Or let me know how else I can get it to you.

Yes, I cleared all buffs after loading my profile from armory, then manually added warp burger and major agi potion buffs.

Inaccuate approximate DPS

I just installed the spreadsheet recently, and input all of my gear/spec. My Marksmanship spec was showing around 1516 DPS, with me contributing 1100 and my pet contributing 400 or so. After going the spec that I built on the spreadsheet, I went to a target dummy in Silvermoon to try it out, but found a large difference between the approximate DPS (according to the spreadsheet) and the DPS I was actually doing.

I'd like to know if anyone has any ideas as to why the spreadsheet may not be accurate for me. (No raid buffs are enabled on the spreadsheet or in-game). If anyone could toss around some ideas as to why i'm pulling 1000-1300 in-game, but the spreadsheet shows ~1500 DPS, I would very much appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
