The base damage of the weapon is only one factor in what makes one better than another. The high end damage is only 19 more, [Giant's Bane] has more AP than [Furious Gladiator's Recurve] regardless of spec, and the haste & ArP on the gun are likely to be worth more for most gear sets than the crit on the bow.

Update:
- Added more missing Ulduar items
- Fixed bug involving noxious stings and serpent sting at 0 frequency
- Added a setting to disable prioritising Aimed/Arcane/Multi shot over Steady Shot for the rotation test.
- Added a setting that controls how ArP procs from trinkets are handled. Either normal, always on or off.
- Added option to save glyphs with talent specs on the Talents tab
- Changing Glyphs/Talents should now automatically retest the rotation if you are using the rotation test
The sheet now automatically reruns the rotation test on glyph/talent/rotation changes (Gear/Buffs still need a manual re-run), because judging by the amount of posts/PMs people forget to do it a lot. I've tweaked the test a bit performance wise so hopefully it shouldn't be a big performance hit.

On my computer the whole test + updating cells in the sheet takes 0.7s-0.8s which is fast enough to make changing talents snappy enough (biggest part of that time is spent by Excel updating cells in its slow and kludgy way, rather than actual computation).

This version should also fix the issue Whitemane reported.

When using the macro buttons on the Talents tab (Read from Armory, Load Spec, & Import Talent URL) and Gear tab (Delete Profile), the sheet seems to go into a non stop "calculate" mode.

Hi,

I'm having some confusion on how to input my MM rotation in the Shot Rotation tab. Do you know how I'd input the following:

Serpent Sting
Rapid Fire
Readiness
Rapid Fire
Chimera
Arcane
Aimed
Steady

And also to include silencing shot whenever it's up (it's macro'd to all my shots) and the same for Killshot?

Just as you listed them, with Silencing Shot in place of the second Rapid Fire - the spreadsheet is smart enough to know that you'll use it every time it's off cooldown - and Kill Shot ahead of whichever shots you're going to prioritise it over. The rotation that gets loaded with the default MM spec in the spreadsheet may even have them all in place for you already.

It seems like the Gear Planner isn't taking into account the 1% Crit bonus from the Dwarven racial.

[Siren's Cry] comes up over [Giant's Bane], any with out the 1% crit from the racial, is better.

Here's the comparison Item Comparison Tool - World of Warcraft.

However, with the 1% crit, Giant's Bane comes up as

21 Armor Pen
5 Haste
0.1 DPS
0.45% Crit

at the expense of 3 Stamina.

Did you hit the ranged weapon button on gear planner? After it does the calculation it should show up correctly.

Kill Shot on v89g?

Using the version 89g with the same model from my char in 89f, counts me a drop of 200~ on Total Dps.
Trying to find where it came from, i'm missing the table of 'Usage of Kill Shot' in Shot Rotation, with this in Overview at Hunter DPS Breakdown my Proc/Talent DPS is with a value of 0,37 for a 0.01% against 250,26 for 4,16% in the older version.
At the same time at Shot Rotation the "Kill Shot low Hp gain" is completely different between both versions.

Maybe i'm looking at the wrong place, but still couldn't find the reason for the DPS drop.
Old version = 7196,03 DPS
New version = 6996,74 DPS

i've been testing kill shot behaviour in this version, and when i change target's armor from the standard value to 1, Killshot's damage does not change in the calculations tab, while Steady auto and aimed do. I dont know if its always been like this, but iirc KS is a physical damage shot and is affected by armor.

I was trying some trap dancing spec with Immo trap as MM (I know it wouldn't work, but I was curious)

And I noticed that Immo trap won't proc L&L and doesn't get it's CD reseted by Readiness.

Also, as a SV using only BA to proc L&L, I get one proc every 120s according to the sheet, is that right?

And finally, while testing that trap dancing MM, I had to remove Silencing Shot from my rotation, as I didn't have enough skill slots to put on the rotation (I had 11 skills, including racial). Any chance we get a 11th skill slot to the queue?

Use the values on the shot rotation tab, those are all post-armour. For various reasons the values on the calculations are not all with/without armour.

As for Kill Shot. If the rotation test is in use the fields for Kill Shot Usage on the shot rotation tab will disappear because the rotation test includes Kill Shot in the rotation itself, rather than averaging it out. Make sure you run the test to properly update the frequencies for each shot.

I've been going over the spreadsheet and can't figure something out. The magnetized projectile emitter from 10man XT hard mode has the same dps as sirens/giants from 25man ulduar, good stats, red socket with a decent bonus, 3.0 speed, and the 27 hit rating is used to cap me for hit. But, the spreadsheet still shows it as a large downgrade from giant's bane and siren's cry, 38 and 44dps losses respectively. I can't figure out why the spreadsheet would be telling me that its such a large downgrade when everything in my 4+ years of playing a hunter tells me that it should be at least on par if not an upgrade because of the hit rating and slower speed boosting chim/aimed damage. According to the spreadsheet its even a downgrade from envoy of mortality from KT, and this is on the latest version of the spreadsheet. Anyone know whats going on here?
