This is because you are more than 1% over the hit-cap. The sheet is regemming with each item checked (except the one currently equipped, that is taken as baseline) so it shows a dps-increase for switching to the Pendant INCLUDING re-gemming.

Then when you run it again it'll show the Brooch of the Wailing Night as an upgrade IF you re-gem again.

The rounding on stats is not quite matching in-game nor are some talent multipliers on AP/Agi correct. I have it on my to-do list to check the PTR for more accurate models on how stats scale with talents/buffs (this isn't quite as straightforward as it seems).

I'm at a loss to determine how the spreadsheet calculating and additional +24 Ap and +7 agility over what the character tab is giving me in game. I have cleared all buffs, recalculated attributes and made sure my armor and spec where correct. What really gets me is if I take all of my toons gear off, the spreadsheet gives me 1 less Ap and 1 less Agility than the ingame tab. When I from no gear to putting on the Conqueror's Scourgestalker Headpiece (Arcane of Torment/Relentless Earthseige Diamond/Delicate Dragon's Eye), the Spreadsheet gives me 1297AP compared to 1289Ap in game, and 378 agility compared to 370 agility ingame.

Edit:Under the Agility column located on the gear tab, Delicate Dragon's eyes have 34 agility even after I selected the 27 agility ones. Is there anyway to set it so they don't include the 3.2 stats?

Small update:
- Gear Optimizer 'get current gear' now gets the correct necklace
- Hit correction for boss level on calculations tab now also works for level 81/82 
- Fixed talent spec displayed on overview tab
- Fixed small problem with re-gemmer not always correctly using +hit sockets
- Added option to settings tab that disables automatic re-gemming during Gear Planner calculations. Instead it will auto-fill the sockets with matching DPS gems as defined on the settings tab.

@Dvorjak:
You can't disable the 3.2 talents/items/etc.. Use the pre-PTR spreadsheet if you want those.

I think I found a small error in the calculation of iAotH. It is just and only scaling with haste rating. It makes no difference in uptime if you put 1 point in iAotH or 5. And what I find curious is that uptime of iAotH seems to be less high the higher the haste rating is.

I'm not sure why the uptime would go down when haste is higher, but if you read the description of the improved aspect of the hawk talent you'll see that additional points in the talent only increase the haste it provides, they don't affect the uptime. The chance to proc is 10% at every rank (although naturally there's a slightly higher chance of a reproc if you're being hasted more when it's already up).

In version 91a, every piece of gear I have is showing as best in slot when I recalculate DPS on the gear checker, except my Two-Hand weapon. My gear isn't near good enough for that to be happening, and when I switch out pieces and regem, the piece that showed as lower DPS in the Gear Planner is actually quite higher.

It's even showing Envoy of Mortality as best in slot for ranged, and the filters aren't set up in a way that it would make it such.

Make sure you enable Dragon's Eyes on the settings tab (since you are a JC).

This is happening to me too, I then switch out my gear on the gear tab, calcattributes and then recalculate DPS and it shows different gear as best in slot! I'm confused.

Tried that and it still didn't fix it. Like I said it's even placing Envoy of Mortality above Skyforge Crossbow, etc.

If you need me to upload the sheet let me know. I'm at work right now, but I can do it when I get home if necessary.

The way I tested your gear was to:
a) Download the sheet
b) Set your name/server/US on the overview tab
c) Hit the Armory scrape button on the Gear tab, correct ring enchants
d) Load your talents/glyphs from Armory on the talent tab
e) put in the correct SV rotation on the shot rotation tab
f) Go to the settings tab and set 'use Dragon's Eyes' to yes.
g) Run the rotation test button on the shot rotation tab
h) Go the gear planner and press 'Recalculate DPS'

This gives me a fair list of possible upgrades over your gear for most slots.

Ok I downloaded a fresh copy of the sheet, did the exact same thing, and it worked. I unchecked some of the boxes on the Gear Planner tab, recalculated again, and it worked fine. Then I set 'use Dragons Eyes' back to no, and it showed all of my gear as best in slot again... I then rechecked one of the boxes, and it worked fine again...

And weirdest of all, now I can't reproduce it. It seems like it may be something with the gemmer, but that still wouldn't make sense for my Envoy showing as better than Skyforge when the bug did occur.

If I can reproduce it again, I'll leave the sheet as is when it happens and upload it.

Gemmer issue

The gemmer in v91a places to much emphasis on +hit socket bonuses.

I'm over the hitcap with my current gear and because of this, I don't need any +hit gems or socket bonuses. The gemmer in v91 came up with a nice setup, which I promptly switched to. However, when I regem in v91a it somehow thinks it's necessary to use green gems in two pieces of gear to get the +hit socket bonuses on those items. This results in a DPS loss and messes up the gear planner.

I read your changelog and I guess you would need to add a check to the gemmer when it's considering +hit socket bonuses. They should of course only be pursued when it would result in a DPS gain.

Other than that, great work. I really love the improvements done to the gear planner.

The gemmer appears to always use an Enchanted Tear for meta-gem requirements, even when it has socketed other gems that fulfill the requirements. If you load my current gear into the spreadsheet and hit 'Regem' the gemmer places a green gem in my pants but still puts a tear in the chest. Simply replacing the tear with a ruby ups the reported dps slightly.

Also, and possibly related, the gemmer fails to fully hit cap me. You'll notice if you regem my gear that it results in a setup that is 6 points below cap. My first guess would be that it's somehow counting the socket bonus from my pants even though the gems it uses don't activate it.

I've made a re-upload of v91a hopefully fixing these gemming issues. Let me know if they persist (I've tested it with the profiles of the people who reported it and it seems to work properly now).

It's a bit iffy to get it right, since I'm not updating the sheet every time I add a gem, but doing it all in an array, so I have to manually keep track of how much +hit and gems are needed for meta-gem activation. In this case it was counting a socket bonus but not ensuring that the other socket was having a matching gem put in in a later pass.

I have intermittently encountered a peculiar bug for a while and finally seem to have figured out the cause. Sometimes when running CalcAttributes, I get a full 0 for one of the fields, such as ArmPen or Haste. It happened again today and I realized it was somehow me just moving the mouse. I now can reproduce it reliably by trying to scroll the page or move the mouse wheel while the calculation is taking place. No errors pop up, no other sign of errors, just 0.000 in the DPS and Per Item Budget fields.

I realize this is a peculiar report. This is in Office 2007 running in Windows 7 RC and I suspect it may be environmental. But it definitely caused some weird gear planner reports a few times over the past few weeks til I learned to watch for all zeros, heh.
