I would like to know what the general consensus is on using the Rotation Test vs. using calculated frequencies.

I'm asking this because I used to turn the Rotation Test off because I think I once read a statement from Shandara saying that it should be within 1% of the calculated frequencies. So I never really bothered. I did bother this week and found the results of the Rotation Test to differ quite a bit from the calculated frequencies.

When I use the Rotation Test for my SV spec it estimates the DPS to be ~300 lower than with the calculated frequencies. The opposite happens when I use the Rotation Test for my MM spec; it estimates it to be ~200 higher than with the calculated frequencies.

This makes it hard to compare SV with MM: the outcome depends completely on whether or not I should use the Rotation Test.

Any thoughts?

Update:

- Added cuirass/vest of calamitous fate normal versions
- Corrected steel bladebreaker itemID
- Small change to iAoTH calculations in the rotation test
- Small logic change to regemmer
- Sylvanas' Cunning spelling corrected
- Infused Dreadstone now gives +20 AP instead of +15 Stamina
- Loading a talent spec now also runs the rotation test if it's enabled
- Hand Adjust values are now saved with profiles, includes pet and target adjustments from the Buffs tab as well.
- Exporting/Importing on the overview tab will now also store/load the current information in the sheet (rather than only saved profiles).
- Overview tab now has a box for globally adjusting certain things like Critical Strike Damage Bonus, Haste%, Physical Damage modifier, etc.. These are all applied at the very end of the calculations, representing certain boss buffs/debuffs.
- Default L&L proc chance now 20%, adjust down on Settings tab if you desire so
- Armory import will auto-detect professions and level now
- Added Runic Mana Injector and made Engineering increase the effect by 25%
- Removed the warning box about rotation test from the load profile button macro

In spreadsheet version 91g, under the shot rotation tab, the Kill Shot low hp gain box is not populating resulting in a difference of over 100 dps from the previous version of the spreadsheet 91f. Yes, I do have kill shot in my rotation.

I am not sure if this has been already addressed, but when I load my profile from armory it always shows I am using frostbite bullets when I know I have mammoth cutters.

The Kill Shot Low HP gain box should never be visible, unless you:
a) Aren't using the rotation test AND
b) don't have Kill Shot in your rotation AND
c) have the appropriate boss hp% set on the settings tab

The ammo issue is a quick hack fix (it's been like that for a bit). It's purely cosmetic since ammo type doesn't matter.

The issue is that ammo DPS does matter. Loading my gear from a fresh download sets ammo to Frostbite Bullets, and Total DPS to 8221,38. Swapping to the ammo I actually use (Saronite Razorheads) increases Total DPS to 8352,90.

Would expect that loading gear from armory would select correct ammo DPS (correct ammo type isn't as important), and if this is not possible, would expect ammo to remain unchanged, cleared, or set to a (user defined?) default value.

In the latest version of the spreadsheet, the pet tab isn't functioning correctly.

Whenever I change my pet type from Wolf to Cat and attempt to change his skill rotation, the only option I can see is "Bite."

Spreadsheet damage range for [The Diplomat] (Heroic) seems to be incorrect compared to live stats.
Damage range on live seems to be 419-719 (2.8 speed, 203.2 DPS).

Note that this seems like a Blizzard itemization bug, since I'd expect the stats to be identical to [Widebarrel Flintlock] (Heroic), but this is currently not the case.

EDIT: There is also a bug with faction settings for these weapons.

As well, Mortal Shots is supposed to affect the crit damage of Serpent Sting with 2pc T9 but this isn't the case with the spreadsheet, currently.

I broke the spreadsheet. I do calc attributes, and now it says 0 for ArP. I didn't even mess with anything after downloading the new one except hand-adjusting. Hmmm

I heard that [Death's Verdict] and [Darkmoon Card: Greatness] always activate same time. How about including such effect into calculation tab.

Thanks a million for the spreadsheet.

I am a BM hunter with the conventional gemming of +ap \ +ap & +stam \ +ap & +crit (all epic). The "Regem" function swaps all of my +ap with +agi gems. Also, it puts pure +20 agi gems in blue sockets.

Might be worth mentioning that after swapping all of my +ap gems (420 ap) with their +agi counterparts (210 agi), there is less then 1 overall dps loss from my normal gemming.
