I wanted to test the difference in gain between Longevity and Animal Handler.
So I loaded up the "default 50/21" spec and got a Total DPS figure of 1638, with two points in Longevity.
Changing the setting to 1 point the DPS number immeadiately increased to 1656.
Going down to 0 point reduced it to 6118.
Looks likely there's a maths bug somewhere.
As a note however: Shandara - If I were you I really wouldn't even be thinking of maintaing this while levelling! The community appreciates your efforts and I look forward to seeing the spreadsheet evolve AFTER you've got to 80 and killed Sarth.
Longevity 3/3 is better than 1/3 which is better than 2/3 if you're using a cat, so your numbers are in-line. This was covered before.
What I haven't seen any information about is the spreadsheet weighting 2AP much, much higher than 1Agi. It kinda makes sense if you think about it, but I still want some confirmation before going AP for everything. Can anyone confirm this?
I'm really interested in the +1 int being the best stat for my gear, according to the sheet. Gemming and enchanting Int is showing more a DPS increase than anything else. I get the mana return, AP from talents, ect. Just seems really really odd that that's how it'd work out.
Also worth noting it's all depending on what fight, what buffs, ect you have. So yeah, mostly ignoring that for now in the sheet.
The higher 'Viper Damage Penalty' is in Shot Rotation tab, the more value will be given to Int. In the Settings tab you can change 'Aspect Behavior' to 'Always On', that will de-value Int by quite a bit.

It doesn't for me. Do you have absurdly high crit and low AP? Is Blessing of Kings on?
EDIT: Actually, you're right. The spreadsheet is showing 2 AP as about 10% better than 1 agi with early level 80 levels of gear, for BM spec. Of course, that lead should decrease as your gear improves and you start getting more AP, which will increase the relative value of crit and thus agi.
EDIT2: Caught up with the continuing discussion in the simple questions thread. Does assuming 10% AP bonus at all times to match Blessing of Kings mean that AP and agi will keep their current relative strength as gear improves? Perhaps. It's an interesting question, and one that maybe is best resolved by experimentation in the sheet.
I have noticed that there are a lot of decent blue items that are not listed in the pre-existing gear list. There are a lot of quest rewards and and rep rewards that are very decent weapons and gear that aren't listed. A few that I have been using that aren't listed are:
Zombie Sweeper Shotgun (Argent Crusade - Revered)
Traditional Fleshing Knife (Kalu'ak - Revered)
Dragonstompers (Crafted: Leatherworking) (Most of the other LW crafted gear as well, haven't started wearing it yet due to not breaking my T6 4pc)
Ring of Foul Mojo (Quest Reward)
Spiked Collar of Servitude (Quest Reward)
I'm having an issue with custom gear and profiles.
When I load custom gear into a profile, no issues occur.
However, when I make a second profile, also with custom gear, and save, it will display that new custom gear in the first profile when loaded, but the stats of the first profile are unchanged from the original save. If I were to save the profile again, it would then change the custom gear on the first profile, which should not happen.
Summary of problem:
When you have two profiles with custom gear, the stats on the gear from the second-made profile are being displayed in the first profile gear (custom gear). No change occurs to the DPS stats of the first profile, even though the gear is displaying inaccurately.
As an ancient hunter theorycrafter, I have to say that the spreadsheet is well done. I would suggest future development should be focused on user-friendliness, as the one criticism I could make about the current one is the lack of such user-friendliness.
In particular, I would like to see gear profiles handled better than they are. If you look back at Rooke's spreadsheet from OG WoW, you will see that she separated each gear set into a different tab. This allowed the user to intuitively create a set of gear, and view the results, side by side with the other sets. The profile system of the current sheet is a bit awkward, and as you can see from the above, can lead to problems (unless my problem is unique).
Well done, overall.
Edit: Also, Thunderstomp is not displaying damage and frequency values.
An additional note, the fur lining wrist enchants and icewalker boot enchant are not importing in from armory. The spreadsheet is saying they could not be found as a supported enchant even though they are in the list already.
First off, thank you so much for continuing Cheeky's work, secondly is there a way to use this without Microsoft Excel? I don't feel like purchasing it at the moment and was hoping for another means of using it.
- Various spelling errors and stats on items fixed. Added a few missing ones.
- Rotation Test tab will now properly do nothing if no shots are selected
- Added Aspect of the Dragonhawk
Added a lot of items, probably missed some stuff. Also adjusted quite a few calculations to live patch numbers (damages on abilities etc..). Too much to list.
Cheeky's always worked for me. I downloaded this one and no matter what I do, it shows N/A for all the calculations. What do I have to do to make this thing work?
ehm, when I load my gear from the armory, the spreadsheet tells me that there are some things that are yet to be added, these are:
Kel'Thuzad's Reach (the main fist weapon from naxx-10)
Incewalker enchant on boots
Hyperspeed Accelerators for gloves (the eng enchant that's like a trinket)
+40 crit rating scope on ranged weapon.
thanks for all the hard work shandara, i love how cheeky's work is being upgraded and improved by You
The Armory is borked again. If you try that URL it's blank so the script fails to find anything.
EDIT:
Kel'Thuzads Reach is in there, just missing a capital T in the name so it fails the name matching. Select it manually. I'll fix it in the next version.

It causes the rest of the script to fail which stops loading the rest of my gear. i went and added a On Error Goto X and now it will load the rest which is way better than having to load everything by hand
The following items should be added to the speadsheet:
Belt of Tasseled Lanterns
Giantmaim Bracers
Giantmaim Leggings
Signet of Bridenbrad
Ring of Foul Mojo
Plunder's Helmet
Mirror of Truth
Edit: Grips of Chronological Events
Drake-Mounted Crossbow will not load from Armory (listed as Drake Mounted Crossbow)
Terrorshaft Arrow will not load from Armory (listed as Terrorshaft Arrows in spreadsheet)
When giving a ring in the custom gear page a socket, the only gem that comes up on the drop down menu in the gear page is Destructive Skyflare Diamond.
Keep up the great work.
Edit: Also on the custom gear page there is no slot for haste rating as a socket bonus, which the Signet of Bridenbrad has.

Both Icewalker and the Heartseeker scope are in the sheet, but most likely the tooltip it uses to scrape it from the Armory has been changed. Armory is still not working for me, so can you tell me the text on the item tooltip for the enchant?
And the new engineering enchant tooltip texts for completions' sake.
First off, thanks for all the hard work on this spreadsheet. It's great stuff.
I stumbled on maxdps.com recently.
They seem to have very different, and I think incorrect, ratings for certain stats. They seem to value haste fairly high based on where some of the gear lands in my list. I know for BM, haste is still a dps increase, but we already are "capped" with just quiver and SS on steady shot so it doesn't scale well for us. Anyone else check out that maxdps site?
THe main reason I'm bringing up that site is the list of gear there seems to be a lot more comprehensive. While I certainly trust the spreadsheet more for calculations and rankings, there is quite a bit of gear missing from the spreadsheet. Thought you might find maxdps a good reference site for hunter gear to add to the spreadsheet moving forward.
Just as an example. In the spreadsheet, my blue Headguard of the Westrift shows only the engineering goggles as an upgrade in gear planner.
On maxdps, all of the following are showing as upgrades, most of which I don't see in the spreadsheet at all:
Eviscerator's Facemask - LW crafted
Crusader's Coif - quest Icecrown
Headguard of Vast Destruction - quest Pinnacle
Helment of the Shrine - heroic Gun
Shroud of Darkness - Heroic VH
Hood of the Furtive Asassin - HoL (here is that haste gear I mentioned)
Helm of Cheated fate - Heroic Gun (more haste)
Plunderer's Helmet - Heroic UK
Here's a low priority bug for you: I found after entering all my quest greens into the gear sheet and loading everything I could from the armory, my agility is being incorrectly reported in the spreadsheet.
I have a level 74 Draenei with 131 agility from gear (please don't mock me- I dinged 70 the week before the expansion shipped), and according to the armory, 160 base agility when the spreadsheet is recording 148. I can't see the table that is being used to calculate the Draenei racial agility, so unfortunately that's as detailed as this report's going to get...
Thanks for all your hard work! This spreadsheet is awesome. Easy to use, and well thought out.

This is probably because I don't have all the stats for all races. I only have a nightelf hunter myself so only those stats are correct.
