This was pretty easy to test actually.
Removed gear so I had 798 Arpen and 740 Crit.
First autoshot procced the trinket, 600 Crit Iron Dwarf.
Second proc was AP at 1:42.
Third proc was Crit at 3:30.
So I can pretty much confirm that Hunters will never get the Arpen buff, unless there's something strange I'm missing. With this trinket we get Agi/AP/Crit.
I'm also starting to question if it's a 100% proc chance. I may just have been lucky with that first proc several times last night. I seem to remember it taking a couple shots to activate once last night and had assumed it was just patch lag, but the proc chance may be a bit lower than 100%. Like maybe 25% or 50% chance to proc.
Since I'm only autoshotting, not going through a normal rotation like I would in raid, the fact my procs are often more frequent than 110 seconds, with a slow weapon autoshotting, makes me think the internal CD might in fact be even lower ... like 90 seconds with a 25% or 50% chance to hit. So the trinket's effective uptime would be slightly higher in raid during a full rotation.
Don't know how to test proc chance in these conditions, other than starting autoshot and seeing how many shots fire before my hunter transforms. Guess I could run a log, but it's not such a good idea to close my office door and pretend to be working while testing proc rates.
Test One: Proc on first shot.
Test Two: Proc on second shot.
Test Three: Proc on first shot.
Test Four: Proc on third shot.
Test Five: Proc on fourth shot.
Test Six: Proc on first shot.
Totally unscientific, I know ... but doing the best I can on a craptastic mac work laptop.
