This is a carryover from when Shandara imported my location update to the sheet. I also updated the item names to include (L) if leather and (Exp) if they were expertise items. I wasn't able to change the names of rings though so I added the (Exp) tag to their location instead.

Shandara only brought in my location changes though so it was probably unintended that the (Exp) tag on the rings is there. Yes, that does mean Expertise. You can choose to ignore it if you like. I'm not sure how Shandara will handle it in the spreadsheet.

I took out most of the tags on item names, because they would break imports and such, but these slipped my mind. They will be fixed when I have time to. I have been too busy to work on the sheet lately. In the meantime remember that the item sheets are not protected at all (in fact I only protect the visible sheets to stop any inadvertent changes breaking the calculations) and you can just go in and change the name if it breaks for you.

I just found it odd because it was unique. A check-box for expertise like the one for leather would be nice since those items can be upgrades but are not ideal.

The spreadsheet continues to be a wonderful help to me and my guild.

Hi,

When i change my Charge of the demon lord neck with Wodin's lucky necklace (spreadsheet says its a 105.8 upgrade, best in slot for me it says) the spreadsheet says my dps drops, even after regeming because of the surplus of hit. I dont understand it since the Wodin's necklace has the same kind of stats but only more of it (only lacking haste).

Am i overlooking something here because im banging my head to the wall over this :P.

Hm. I see from the patch notes 2 things that seem relevant:

a) Rapid Fire incurs a GCD again (this is listed a fix, which seems odd)
b) Serpent Sting crits supposedly correctly benefit from Mortal Shots now

a) Is a straight nerf to rapid fire, making us lose a steady shot every RF, which probably cuts the damage gained from the RF in about half. I suppose RF would still be worth using for rapid recuperation if mana may be an issue, but other than that it sounds like an unnecessary hassle now.

b) Is hopefully a buff, but someone (me if I get home before someone else does it) needs to do the whole checking again to see whether it's actually giving us the full crit modifier for mortal shots + RED, or is bugged in some new way now. If it is an actual fix, it increases the life-expectancy of 2pcT9 even further, which is a surprising step.

edit for update: apparently (a) is actually listed completely incorrectly in the patch notes. It says "Rapid Fire: Now triggers the global cooldown correctly" whereas testing in game, the only change is that now RF can be used while actually under the GCD (previously RF didn't cause a GCD, but could only be used while outside the GCD). So the patch note should probably read "Rapid Fire: Now ignores the global cooldown correctly."

Quick testing on a level 80 target dummy shows my SrS hitting for 630 and critting for 1522, so around a 242% crit modifier.

This seems a bit higher than expected actually, since I think with RED and Mortal shots it should IIRC be around 236%? This is while specced cookie-cutter MM though, so MFD could conceivably be affecting it in some strange way (the full effect of MFD would be 246% by the spreadsheet though).

With a 0/10/0 spec I am also seeing a 242% crit modifier.
With a 0/0/0 spec I am seeing a 209% crit modifier, so it would seem they have the calculations for the RED messed up.

With regards to the Rapid Fire change, I am not seeing the behavior described by the patch note. Rapid Fire does not initiate a GCD. Instead, the opposite seems to be true: while Rapid Fire was previously blocked by the GCD, it no longer is (i.e. you can use it immediately following firing an instant).

I'm not sure Blizzard sees it that way. They aren't exactly known for easy to understand patchnotes.
Basically the text in the patchnote is right, now that RF doesn't get affected by the GCD, it now triggers the GCD correctly, specifically not at all. While I agree that it would be considerably better to say it ignores the GCD, I'm just not sure that's how they see it.

I'm getting different results from the same upgrade from different tabs in the spreadsheet (Shandara 93i) which is very strange.
In the gear planner, a change of feet from "Greaves of Ruthless Judgment" into "Taldron's Long Neglected Boots" shows a delta of 53.70 DPS
In the gear tab, the same change shows an increase from total of 10668.19 into 10781.18 which is 112 DPS (more than twice)
So who is telling the truth here?

For whatever reason, the gear planner has never shown exactly the same increases or decreases that you get by actually plugging in the gear on the gear tab. I think the gear tab is the one to go with. Do you run the calc attributes function on the overview tab and then do a recalculate dps on the gear planner tab? Doing those 2 things will usually bring the figures much more into line with each other. You really need to do those 2 things every time you actually acquire a new piece of gear and add it in the gear tab. This is especially true if you are gaining or breaking set bonuses.

Is there a reason why I cant activate True Shot aura in the buffs?. I am MM, and have the talent so I don't know the problem.

I am assuming you have TSA yourself, and that would be the reason its not available in the buffs - the spreadsheet already knows its there.
I am assuming the spreadsheets blocks it to avoid doubledipping (once from recognizing the talent and once from the buff settings) as, even though the buff settings exclude mutually exclusive buffs, teh talents work in another calculation, where TSA is already calculated.
