I was toying around with the spreadsheet using my hunter alt (The World of Warcraft Armory - Athanase @ Mal'Ganis - Profile) and I noticed something odd concerning ArP. I only imported my gear and (secondary) spec and put in an MM Shot Rotation and left everything else as it is, so no ArP consumables.
Gear Planner showed Saurfang's Cold Forged Band(H) as a ~30 dps upgrade over Seal of the Twilight Queen(H), just as expected considering that ArP is shown as better than crit and all other stats are almost equal. With my gear I'm 65 ArP rating from the cap using Needle Encrusted Scorpion. With the saurfang ring I'm 5 from the cap.
But when I switched the rings dps went down about 20 and the value of ArP on the overview tab went from ~2.1 to ~1.8 although I'm not over the cap.
I then tried hand adjusting some ArP numbers and noticed that ArP got better until 50 rating from the soft cap and 2.2 dps/rating. After that the value of ArP was dropping gradually until I reached the cap. After the cap it slowly started rising again.
I was under the impression that ArP got better the closer you are to the cap and doesn't rise and fall like that. Am I missing a piece or is something wrong there?

I am not sure at all about this, but I believe the dps per +1 value is calculated by adding 50 of it then calculating the difference as long as the player is not hard capped. If so, this might explain the fluctuation, as gemming up to the soft cap created by your trinket can create a peak value for it.

You're somewhat right Pentagram. If you're more than 50 rating away from the cap the macro adds 50 Arp but if you're less than 50 away it adds only as many points as you need to reach the cap.

@Tharia: When I load your armory and switch the rings I get the expected results showing Saurfang's as a dps increase over your Seal of the Twilight Queen.

Flaw in DBW calculations

I was looking around on the spreadsheet and noticed that on the calculations tab, under DBW (H) and DBW, the "ArP Cap on procs" field uses 100*ArPRating-E39 and 100*ArPRating-H39, respectively, for its calculation. I'm not sure what use this calculation is anyway, as DBW doesn't proc ArP, but nonetheless E39 and H39 are not related to ArP at all and do not make any sense being used in the calculation in which they are being used.

Spreadsheet used was Best_DPS_93i

It used to proc ArP (or at least it was speculated that it would for hunters too), but I must've forgotten to remove it. Thanks.

EDIT & Update:
- Added Halion loot
- Seal of Many Mouths stats fixed (normal version)
- Vengeful Noose socket bonus fixed
Ruby Sanctum loot is under the same filter as ICC-loot (because I felt it a bit wasted to make a special filter for a single-boss dungeon).

Any chance of a work-around being put in place so the spreadsheet will run in M$ Office 2010? I've been without the spreadsheet for 2-3 months now ever since I got the newest Office. I heard mention that it was an Office problem, I don't really know enough about the program or the spreadsheet to fix it.

Signet of twilight is messed up. Normal is labeled as Heroic and vice versa. Also, normal should be 48 hit, not 43.

Thanks. As for the work-around, unfortunately the errors occur at compile time and I haven't been able to figure out how to prevent the progress bar frame from being loaded in the code itself. The best way to fix it is to manually comment them out (instructions are somewherein this thread).

I don't have 2010 myself so I can't really investigate any possible fixes to the problem, but if anyone with 2010 figures out how, I'll be happy to add those fixes.

EDIT:
Uploaded a quick fix for the twilight signet wrong name/stat.

The Excel 2010 problem is with the x64 version. I finally installed the retail x32 version and v93k works fine. It appears that some UI macros need to be rewritten for x64 and the v94 spreadsheet could have a separate download that does not use the progress bar (simply having a switch as in v93, was still causing errors for me in x64 RTM). The calculations were never reported here as not working in any version of 2010.

Just now noticed that there is no IF() for Hunters Mark, Mangle & Trauma, and Blood Frenzy & Savage Combat in the debuffs section of the spreadsheet, such that those debuffs are not being calculated.

The same thing with ret aura in the buffs for hunter and buffs for pet.

Getting runtime error, type 13 mismatch on Office 2007. Didn't expect to get any errors after putting '07 on one of my laptops instead of '10.

The only solution I've found is to physically delete the ProgressBar control from the dialog and comment out any code referring to it. Perhaps the simplest solution would be to just display the text in the dialog, and not the bar. This should work for all users. The bar doesn't really add anything that a textual representation doesn't give you.

And GwolfGarona, I'm running Office 2010 32-bit and it exhibits the same issue.

Allara we might have something here... I'm running Windows 7 Professional x64 Retail with Office 2010 Professional Plus x32 Retail. No Patches to download for Windows or Office.

We have a right good mystery on our hands now. Can someone else who has the progress bar working in Office 2010 post their platform?

run-time error '91':
Object variable or With block variable not set
----------------
Version Best DPS 93k
----------------
It seems to be caused by the lack of a secondary profession.
I was able to fix the issue with adding a second main profession.
It's a minor bug.

I have the same problem with the hard cap (no ArP procs, I removed all rings and trinkets). If I hand adjust ArP from 1349 to 1399,
the DPS per ArP Rating+1 drops from 2.618 to 1.519.

It seems to have no influence to the gear planner.
