Quick update:
- Curse of Reck is now correct ranks
- Pet scrolls don't stack with other stat buffs anymore
- %hit display on Overview/Gear tab now displays hit above 100%
- Pet talent counter now only counts the active pet tree

Hi !

Im using gloves of awesome hit. Ie im using my gloves to get +35 hitraing so i can use other gloves when farming or killing trash´. But the spreadsheet dont find +15 hit on gloves enchant. How can i manually adjust it or are you planning to get that enchant added ?

Minor thing... Just noticed that the Armor Total on the Gears tab doesn't take into account the bonus from Agility. I doubt that value is used in any calcs... just something I noticed...

Hmmm, wasn't there some testing that showed Focused Aim to affact pet hit? (I did a quick google searach and came up with this http://elitistjerks.com/932841-post3944.html )

Is this still up to date? Because I cant find it in the sheet under the "Hit chance" column

I was surprised when I gained 1000 dps or so going from 76->76a by export/import/load profile, but apparently the buff settings get lost at some point through that because I ended up with level 80 buffs on a level 70 profile.

While I was trying to figure out what was going on I noticed the AP, hit, ArP and Haste manual adjustments don't work for pets on the buffs page.

Also, Focused Aim is still colored red as if it isn't implemented in the talent tree.


And a couple feature requests:

First, I think including mp5 in the list for CalcAttributes would be helpful now that you've got the model to support it.

Second, I've noticed with Viper to OOM mode, the value of Int can exceed the value of Agi if the fight length is longer than your Time-To-OOM. This gives significant value to the +Mana part of Int. For example:

50/11/0, 3/3 Careful Aim
15 minute fight, 2.4 minute Time-To-OOM,

Agility + 1	0.991
AP + 1	0.477
Int + 1	1.062
But if you have enough regen/mana to last you the entire fight duration, the dps increase gained from extending your mana pool or mana regen completely disappears, a lot like having more hit past the hit cap has no value.

Everything else the same, 2 minute fight

Agility + 1	1.035
AP + 1	0.495
Int + 1	0.539
So I think it might be useful to have some sort of indication about this on the Overview page.
Perhaps: Mana + 1 | 0.033 | 0.488 (per Int)

@Azurei: I removed all green TBC gems because they were bloating the file and the validation list. And these days practically everybody is using epic or at the very least blue gems.

@Flouyd: Focused Aim was missing yes. Given that I was one of the people testing it I must've forgotten to actually enable it.

@Vith: Interesting idea. I'll have to think about it.

Was toying around with the spreasheet and noticed that Invigoration affects my calculated dps output, a difference of 28 with or without 2/2 invigoration. I dont see how mana regen has anyting to do with my dps, i dont have mana problems at all on bosses.

It's set to use Viper when you run out of mana. Note that is based on a 15 minute fight (not the 2mins burst fests we have now in TBC). So Invigoration leads to less use viper, hence more DPS.

currently, "raids are bugged manawise - you will never run oom"
the spreadsheet calculates how it really should be - so you would have to switch to viper from time to time.

Viper costs you 50% Dmg (40% as BM).
With Invigoration, you have more manareg, have to switch to viper less often, which results in DPS gain.

1. I've been meaning to ask...
Since the Careful Aim RAP bonus is based off of Int, I expected that Int would get some value in AEPs. I was looking at my sheet last night and saw this:

Attribute         DPS
Agility + 1      0.435
AP + 1           0.256
Crit + 1         0.323
0 Hit + 1        0.685
Int + 1          0.707***
ArP Rating+1     0.380
Haste + 1        0.251
Stamina+1        0.000
I just got an upgrade last night (Gronn's gloves) so the values changed but Int hovers somewhere around Hit. Is it really supposed to be that high? I would have expected it to be around AP/RAP since Int = RAP with 3/3 Careful Aim. What else is contributing to the high AEP value for Int? I'm starting to wonder if I shouldn't re-gem some of my gear to take this into account.

2. One thing I've added to my copy of the sheet is a cell that creates a Pawn scale. I don't know how many others use Pawn to evaluate gear but I find it invaluable. It basically just creates a string like the below referencing the different Attribute cells on the Overview tab.

Example: ( Pawn: v1: "Hunter": ArmorPenetration=0.38, RedSocket=3.481, CritRating=0.323, MetaSocket=5.221, Agility=0.435, HasteRating=0.251, BlueSocket=4.112, YellowSocket=4.481, Rap=0.256, HitRating=0.685, Ap=0.256 )

Thanks for all the work that you've put into this sheet. It's an awesome tool... I just wish I knew better how to use it. Need a Shandara's XLS for dummies or something...

Int contributes to higher manapool/faster manaregen - thus lowering Viper-Time -> boosting DPS
therefore it's rated higher compared to AP

Gotta ask if Draenei doubledip on their Hit aura.

Since we now get our Hit transfered, do Draenei pets get 1% from the aura as well as the 1% the Hunter gets? While I would assume not, this is actually a thing I could imagine would slip between the fingers of Blizzard. How is it added in the spreadsheet?

TSA doesn't double dip so I would assume the hit racial is similar.

It's not double dipping on the sheet. I'm taking the +hit from gear and Focused Aim separately, rather than taking the final +hit value of the hunter.

I haven't tested yet whether food buffs and such affect the pet's hit.

Update:
- Focused Aim now affects pets
- Thick Hide (hunter) fixed for Gear-tab
- Added gloves hand enchant Spell Strike (+15 hit)
- JoW now a 50% proc chance, 0sec internal CD 
- Rake now costs 20 focus
Also added a rotation test for the pet (currently hidden so you'll have to unhide it if you want to play with it). It models both bestial discipline/natural regen and GftT. Based on your current crit/hit/shot rate. It uses random (well pseudo-random Rnd()) numbers so make the trial big enough. Just something I made to see whether I could 'simulate' the focus starvation.

I did some testing over the weekend on live and found Chimera Shot - Serpent is affected by mortal shots (but not marked for death). The spreadsheet doesn't seem to be reflecting this.
