And you use a Cat right? Cats use Claw and Rake, so unless you have your pet set to a Devilsaur this will indeed put Claw Dps and Family Skill DPS at 0.
As for the stats, I don't have the correct level 80 stats for most races yet (Orcs for instance), so it will be off a little bit.
Yea I use a Cat. When i change it to Cat it seems weird, it only shows as follows
Base DPS 321.95 100.00%
Claw Dps 0.00 0.00%
Family Skill DPS 0.00 0.00%
KC DPS 0.00 0.00%
Total Pet DPS 321.95 100%
Looks like we still gotta wait for more data, I'll just play around with talents and gear. But since the actual stats maybe off I guess I shouldn't use the pawn data.

If you change it to a Cat, you should change the skills used in the Pet Rotation as well. Could you possibly upload your sheet somewhere for me to look at? I'd like to solve this problem since it seems to have happened to a few people already.

I think I understand what you're talking about. The problem is I guess people don't bother to change the pet skill rotation after they pick their pet.
Anyways here is the link for the spreadsheet I was working on, like we mentioned the stats are way off from the actual character's stats. Right now according to the pet's skill rotation, the rake skill is not being used at all. Also is there a way to find out how wow does the skill rotation if all the skills were on auto-run?
I just wanted to point out a (minor) error with the spreadsheet. It appears that Valorous Cryptstalker Handguards
are set to leather, when they are clearly a mail piece. The gear planner page will remove them from the list when leather items are not set to display.
It's called Bloodlust, not Heroism. What kind of pansy name is Heroism, anyway?
<Bad> Dragonmaw US www.damnwesuck.com
12/13 [25] Heroic - Recruiting exceptional players.
I seem to have tripped over a semi-major error in the spreadsheet since the last build (78a). I go to load my character into the spreadsheet from the Armory via the handy 'load gear from armory' button in the gear tab, and I end up getting a Run-time error '91'. In the debug, it highlights and points me to this line : "sName = Node.Attributes.getNamedItem("name").Text"
Any idea what might be causing it, and if there's a way I could fix it? >_>;
Thanks for all the work you're putting into this, as well, Shandara

Looking at your Armory, the Armory itself gives a tooltip error loading your boots (non-indexed gear?). That's the reason it fails.
First, I am somewhat confused by how to save profiles in the spreadsheet. Like, I set up items talents rotations etc, but how do I save it so that it appears on a separate line in overview tab?
Moreover, when I closed the spreadsheet and re-opened it, in gear planner most of the items I picked (I picked top dps items or something close) were considered to lose to a lot of other items by more than 1000 DPS. Of course it is possible for the order to change but 1000 DPS is just unrealistic.
A few minor things at the moment (ill come back with a more complete list later):
Necklace of the Chrono-Lord not Necklace of the Chrono Lord - It shows up as unsupported with your spelling.
Also Titanium Weapon Chains I feel should be added. Yes they are primarily melee weapon enchants but with 28 hit rating per chain you cannot ignore them as viable. Dragonscale Ammo Pouch doesnt show up as a selection, minor since the haste rating is the same for this item as it is for the Netherscale pouch.
More to come!
*edit* Woops! looks like the chains were added over night! Ignore that part and thank you!
*edit2* Cheeky's old spreadsheet had an option in the gear planner to assume 100% hit. Is it possible to impliment this again? Your spreadsheet doesnt seem to be accounting for the Focused Aim talents and therefore ranking gear with hit higher than gear without if you dont have 100% hit from gear. Minor detail that I assume could be fixed pretty easy.
I can only apologize for all the spelling errors, heh. It was a long haul somewhere halfway in beta where I added nearly a 1000 items (the gems were the worst part). It was a very long day then.
Most of the missing stuff is things that were added since then (like not all crafting professions having their full craft list known at that time).
As for Focused Aim, you are correct I am not accounting for that, but it should be easy to fix.
- Level 83 Boss now has 13083 armor as per testing
- Invigorating Earthsiege Diamond now has +42 AP
- Necklace of the Chrono-Lord spelling fixed
- Hit Rating to Cap now accounts for Focused Aim (and thus corrects the Gear Planner)
- Added an option to the Gear Planner to assume 100% hit fixed
- Rune of Finite Variation spelling fixed

No need for apologies, completely understandable and thanks for the update!

BTW i also noticed the thing with pet dps as stated by a poster above. I found that once you switch the pet you must change the rotation so that it matches your pets rotationa nd skills. When you do this all is corrected and numbers appear as they should.
One question I have is how the ranged weapon ranking works. When i do an initial gear and talent load from the armory I show my N4K as being 2nd highest dps after sorting the gear planner, which obviously is not correct, If i click the Ranged Weapon button on the page they seem to rearrange themselves into the correct order. can you explain what its doing exactly?
I would like to compare the weighting of some of the stats that I'm seeing from the spreadsheet with other people if possible. With my gear (pre raid), 50/21/0 spec, and lv80 buffs, I'm getting the following weights:
1 AP = 1
1 Agility = 1.75
1 Crit Rating = 1.08
1 Hit Rating = 2.84
1 Int = depends too much on fight length
1 Armor Pen Rating = 1.2
1 Haste Rating = 0.78
I thought it was interesting to see the value of crit rating so low.

I would assume that those weights would vary from one spec to another... is this correct?

It's too hard to judge a weapon's DPS just by the speed/damage range so the button tries each of the weapons one by one, records the DPS and shows the delta from a mythical 0 DPS ranged weapon (0-0 damage range 2.8 speed). That is what is shown.

Our specs our fairly similar but I'm not getting anything close to this. I loaded your character into the sheet and didn't get anything even close to this. With a five minute fight they were weighted in the order: Hit (you're capped though) > ap > int (decreases by a lot with shorter fights) > agi > pen > crit > haste > mp5.
What duration did you set it at? What is your pet? What buffs?

Reason: forgot buffs

Default 5 minute fight with default lv80 raid buffs and a cat. And actually that order you found is exactly what my findings were if you looked at it.
I have a small question.
Is there any way to ignore hit cap? The way I like to cap hit is I ignore hit on all items, choose the best items for each slot, then exchange whatever item has the most hit gained per "pseudo-dps" lost until I'm capped.
One solution I thought of was make target level lower and figure the gear out and then change it to boss level.
If anyone has a more elegant solution, please let me know.
EDIT: I didn't notice new version. I would still like to know how other people are capping hit.
I've noticed a bug with ranged weapon delta calculation. My Thori'dal, the Stars' Fury is shown as 2nd best in game item after Envoy of Mortality. Blizzard changed the mechanics a bit and arrows/bullets damage adds to weapon damage. I also know that you assume this in spreadshit calculations. Here is how i see the problem. On gear tab when legendary bow is selected ammo is set to none. And if you press "Ranged weapons" button it would still use no ammo in calculations. I think that its true because if i manually set gun listed before and Mammoth Cutters then spreadshit shows about 150 dps increase. The way to solve the problem is to assume best availible ammo in "Ranged weapons" calculations. Also i think you dont take Dwarf racial +1% crit in consideration.

Oh, well then, that would most definitely do it. >< No idea why the armory is having issues with the Pack Ice Striders, but hey. Don't I feel silly now for not checking that. Ugh, thank you.

This is a bug yes. It can be circumvented by setting another weapon then Thor'idal on your gear tab before running the 'Ranged Weapons' button on the Gear Planner. I should have it fixed for next release.
The Dwarf racial should be working, it should show up on the Race line on the Gear tab when you have a gun selected as your weapon.
