I have also been getting this error repeatedly for days. Some screenies are attached.
Also, the follow slots were not filled in by the import, if this also helps you diagnose the problem:
Main Hand
Off Hand
Back
Wrist
Feet
Rings
Trinkets
Ranged Weapon
Thanks!
edit: to clarify, when I hit Debug on that popup box, I see a page with code with that text highlighted.

Bug report for 78e spreadsheet:
1. Exceptional Intellect (1H enchant) does not appear to be available in the game.
2. Incisor Fragment mean armor penetration rating of 291*20/120 not reflected in dps calculation.
3. Note that trinkets aren't handled correctly yet in Gear Planner (it only uses the static stats, not the proc/triggerable effects.)
4. "Deadly Gladiator's Wristguard of Triump" is missing the final "h".
5. DPS for equipped Rings in Gear Planner appear to be bugged. I had Ring of Foul Mojo and Jagged Ice band, and the deltas were listed as +78 and +66. The actual spreadsheet DPS gains for these two rings by equipping them versus None were +57 and +80, respectively. Are the numbers swapped, perhaps?

I also went and tried the 8% hit theory.
With 8.36% hit I didnt miss against a boss a single time, over 2000 shots fired.

thanks for the work
a couple of issues still exist in 78e
1. when i swap the default red gem in "Settings" to bright scarlet ruby, the red socket value in pawn string becomes 0, click CalcAttributes does not solve this problem.
2. swift skyflare diamond when selected, does not add AP value, despite that meta requirement is met.
3. Invigorating Earthsiege Diamond (42 AP, Regen 2% HP) or Persistent Earthsiege Diamond (42 AP, 15% Reduced Stun), when selected, does add AP value to calculation, but the result seems far lower than it should be (lower dps than 12 Agi meta gem).
please have a look, thanks.

The Invigorating Diamond doesn't have the +3% critical damage bonus the Relentless Earthstorm Diamond has. That is the big difference.

Hunter T7 and T7.1 pet damage bonus isn't added to the pet damage increments.
Orc, 5%
Beast Tamers Shouders 3%
T7 + 7.1 2piece = 2%
Thank you.

It is done on the Pet Calculations tab. And isn't it +5% damage for 2-piece?

I appreciate you taking over where Cheeky left off. However, the current version of your spreadsheet still seems to be missing the gem " enchanted tear" and the titanium weapon chain enchant is not properly reflecting the +28 hit rating that it grants.

I also noticed this, it appears to be due to the PAWN string for GEMS looking for the RAP field for the gem rather than the AP field. I suspect that the AP contribution of any gem is not being picked up for the PAWN string generator.

So the latest findings in the hit thread seem to be the following:
- Hit cap is 8% for Pet and Hunter
- Focused Aim does NOT transfer hit to the pet
- Pet hit from gear is based on the FLOOR of the Hunter's hit % from gear - if you have 7.95% hit from gear, the pet will have 7% hit.
While bizzare, all these behaviors seem modelable. In particular I am curious as to the value of +hit vs other stats in the case where you have 3/3 FA, so your pet is benifiting from additional +hit on gear, but you are not.

Keep in mind however that since a pet only benefits from a full point of hit, there won't be any shown improvement in DPS until you accumulate an extra full point of hit, at which point you could take a point out of FA and place it elsewhere to increase your DPS.

I just downloaded this and looked through the gear planner and when comparing this with Rawr and what I read earlier that the Rawr hunter model is fairly messed up atm, but how much? I'm getting very different values with the spreadsheet. All I really want to know is, what to use?

Your correct it is 5%.
Enchant Cloak - Greater Speed is missing from the back enchant list, 23 haste. Furthermore I can't find the enchant enchant cloak - haste that you have listed in there.

I have a question about how hit rating works on the spreadsheet.
On the Gear tab, I have 100.91% hit. So, theoretically, adding more hit to an item should not make my dps go up, right? But if I create a custom version of an item I already am wearing, and add hit to it, my DPS still goes up.
This is making it hard for me to evaluate items once I'm at the hit cap.
Am I right in saying that having >100% hit should not increase the dps on the spreadsheet? Is this a bug or am I missing something? Thanks.

I was having this error for a while, I believe it was due to the Armory not having [Pack-Ice Striders] set up correctly; for quite a while my armory page refused to show them. Checking just now the armory seems to support them correctly now & the spreadsheet imports everything correctly.

Do you have points in Focused Aim? Hit from Focused Aim does NOT apply to pets, so you will see a DPS increase until your pet also gets to its hit cap.

def don't use rawr for the numbers it gives you the hunter calculations are very outdated and wrong.
On another note I was messing with aspect of the beast and for a quick test I messed with the spread sheet again teh spreadsheet still is using the value state of 110% but it for some reason is giving the pet 21%. Wondering if mabye since my melee goes up my pet double dips? Doubtful and the numbers would probably nto add up, but on the real note.
If i look at my pet raid buffed then assume another 21% because of beast that means he would gain almost 600ap because of the aspect. So what I did was i setup the spreadsheet to have hawk on without pally blessing of 550 ap. DPS is 3927. Now with no aspect on and turning on the blessing for my pet that should "kinda of" model having beast give him 21% ap. The DPS is 4033.57dps
Suggesting that in a raid Beast would be better to use and I would gain over 100dps because of it.
Any opinons and has anyone tested this out in raid.

Update:
- Gear planner now has a 25-man and a 10-man filter
- Fixed some items which were attributed to the wrong instances on the Gear Planner
- Implemented Rapid Recuperation for hunter mana costs and pet focus costs during Rapid Fire
- You can now hand adjust the pet crit%/AP and %damage modifiers on the gear page
- Added option to use the new assumed 8% hit cap on bosses on the Settings tab (default= Yes)
- Fixed Pawn string. Gems with +AP will now add dps from AP correctly
- Careful Aim is now more accurate
- Added Fel Intelligence to buffs and fixed various buffs to be more in-line with the wotLK talents (exported buff profiles will fail to load, sorry)
- Added an option to use Aspect of the Beast during Bestial Wrath, this will reduce Hawk uptime
- Added Enchanted Tear/Pearl gems
- Various fixes to missing socket bonuses

Finally got it working - thanks much for this. One note - the weapon enhancement category with oils is active for level 80, when oils/sharpening stones/etc no longer function on lvl 80 weapons. Not a major issue, since players can simply not toggle it on, but felt it was worth noting. Sorry if it's been mentioned before.
edit: Having an issue here with my rotation. In the first post, you said:
"A proper hunter rotation (for MM-spec) would look something like:
#1. Rapid Fire
#2. Chimera Shot
#3. Serpent Sting
#4. Steady Shot
A proper pet rotation (for a Cat) would look something like:
#1. Rabid
#2. Rake
#3. Claw
The most common mistake made is that people put Claw or Steady Shot as #1. In which case the other shots/abilities are NOT used."
I have set my rotation as:
#1. Rapid Fire
#2. Chimera Shot
#3. Kill Shot
#4. Readiness
#5. Serpent Sting
#6. Steady Shot
In the Rotation Test tab, the spreadsheet shows 0 instances of Serpent Sting cast.

Chimera refreshes serpent sting, so beyond the first cast (which is not shown) it's never re-cast.

With the latest version the [Envoy of Mortality] is -353.16 to [Nerubian Conquerer] in the gear planner where before it used to be the top ranged weapon.
Final Voyage and Arrowsong are also -353.16
Did i mess something up?

In an effort to speed up this slow calculation it's only calculating the items you haven't filtered out. The rest are put to 0 DPS (also gives less trouble with the sorting). So if you then change the filters and sort without hitting the button they will end up at the bottom.

I realize this is slightly out-of-date now, but when I imported from 73c to 73d, I lost about 250 DPS. I finally tracked it down to an increase in base stats and mana at 80, meaning that Steadyshot was relatively much more expensive, so I was spending more time in AotV. I didn't notice this in the change notes, and was wondering if the base stats @ 80 are correct as of 73d.
Also, I don't see the 4pc T7 bonus being calculated anywhere. I see where it should be added in the Calculations tab, since there is a spot for it along with other hasting effects. However, the value never changes from 100% no matter how many pieces of T7 I wear. Am I missing where this calculation is carried out?
Lastly, Raging Construct Bands should have +18 hit instead of +16.
Sorry if these issues have already been fixed/mentioned. I'm looking forward to updating to the new version tonight!
Thanks for your hard work.

I am having some confusion with 'Ranged Weapons' button. I used to load gear off Armory as well my talents. Today, for the first time, I ran the Ranged button. After checking the thread in more detailed, the only information I could find in regards to that are the following:
Notes:
The gear planner compares all ranged weapons with a mythical 0-0 damage/0 dps/0 stats weapon which fires at 2,8 speed. It basically tries all the weapons in the spreadsheet one by one, so it's a tad slow (takes about a minute on my Core Duo E8500)
|
I still don't quite understand it. After running the ranged weapon button, some of the items that I believe are clearly better is no longer the case. I am hit capped and I have set that on the top right hand side of the gear planner tab, but some items that are clearly superior from my stand point is no longer the case. Here are some examples:
[Favor of the Dragon Queen] beats [Titanium Impact Choker] by 3 Delta.
[Titanium Impact Band] beats [Ring of Invincibility] by 7.64 Delta.
[Blackened Naaru Sliver] beats [Mirror of Truth] by almost 20 Delta.
[Armguard of the Tower Archer] beats [Slime Stream Bands] by almost 17 Delta.
[Sovereign's Belt] beats [Spectral Rider's Girdle] by almost 10 Delta.
I am just confused and any assistance is greatly appreciated.
This can be easily replicated by simply loading my Armory Profile (Lufann, Eredar, US), load my talents, then run the 'Ranged Weapon' button on the gear planner tab.
