If I'm reading the numbers correctly for Full Gear, it is taking the MAX of RAP/MAP and applying a linear 33 AP = 1 dmg/tick (plus some base value).
Full Gear - 3630 MAP - 865-866 per tick
Full Gear - 3993 MAP - 877 per tick
Full Gear - 3861 RAP (with AotD) - 873 per tick
877 - 866 = 11; 3993 - 3630 = 363; 363/11 = 33.
877 - 873 = 4; 3993 - 3861 = 132; 132/4 = 33.
873 - 866 = 7; 3861 - 3630 = 231; 231/7 = 33.
Not sure what it all means.

Someone in the spell department screwed up (?) and just used "attack power" for the scaling of BA - without a defined Rap or Map it just uses the higher of the 2 values?

I did not find Perfect Shifting Shadow Crystal (+7 Agi +11 Stam) in gem dropdown list. I looked twice, maybe I did miss it but I really don't think so. And it seems that it is actually a decent blue gem.

i checked the v86 version and it's there. Try sorting by 1st priority Alpha.
Or it could be a bug in a later version.

I've started using the spreadsheet and something odd happens, gear planner tab shows Arrowsong with a higher delta than Nerubian Conquerer but if I change it on gear my DPS goes down by about 2 points. Gear planner to be read with reservations?
Thx,

The stats of " Pauldrons of Havoc" are not complete in V84 and in V86c. 33 haste are missed.

The planner thinks Arrowsong will add more dps because of the +hit on it, but that actually wouldn't add any more dps because you're capped or close enough to it to where the extra hit will be wasted.

Have you hit the 'Ranged Weapons' button on the gear planner? It needs to update the dps stats on ranged weapons before you can get any meaningful results.

In V86c the formula in column 97 doesnt include RaceBonus because column 8 is not included in the formula.

Noticed a slight problem with the spreadsheet whilst trying to work out the difference between 6/14/51 and 15/56, the mana per 5 of judgement of wisdom does not remove itself when you click no on the target debuffs, it stays within the calculations regardless, therefore skewing the worth of Aspect of the Viper and such.
If anyone could verify if its just a problem with my copy of the sheet or such, but thats how it seems to me at present. I still have 140 mana per second with the No Buffs profile loaded.

I'm not sure I understand this, what tab? What cell? Which calculation? If you can be more precise, it would help.

It sounds like he might be talking about the base racial stats not being included in the row 97 cells of the Gear tab. Those formulas calculate the sum starting on row 9 instead of 8 (the racial stats) which I guess is supposed to be true since that row is called "From Gear:".

Ah, they are added a few rows below that in any case. Previously they were all just added up, but I split it because it seems Blizzard does some rounding along the way and I was trying to make it match the in-game tooltips more.

Mangle not effecting Piercing Shot Bleed (?)
I was just curious if there's been any raid testing with the mangle debuff and the damage resulting in the bleed effect from piercing shots? If it isn't increasing the damage, is there an intent to include it (i.e. is this a bug or working as intended). Currently in the spreadsheet, it offers no dps increase in MM.

The tooltip value should be 2765 + 386,1 = 3151 which matched the in game value.
Then I took 3/3 Trap Mastery, the tooltip displays: 3976, but you'd expect 3151 * 1,3 = 4096. On the other hand, 2765*1,3 + 386,1 = 3980,1.
With 3976 tooltip damage you'd expect 843 ticks (3976/5*106% = 843) ticks. Instead I'm getting 834 ticks (not a typo).
|
It would appear that Blizzard may be using a rounding factor at the tens place, so
2765 *1.3 = 3594.5 round at the tens to 3590
3590 + 386.1 = 3976
So it wouldn't actually be 30% but a set standard of 3590
If you then take into consideration TNT, which is a 6% added to the 30%
2765 *1.36 = 3760.4 round at the tens to 3760
3760 + 386.1 = 4146.1
I tried on other RAPs and it works the same.

In tab "Gear" Row 97, columns "C" - "R" the formula "=sum(c9:c94)" would be "=sum(c 8:c94)" because the stats of race are not included.

Thanks, the race stats are, however, included in the final tally in the lowest row. I split them up some time ago because Blizzard appears to apply rounding to them separately.

I was experimenting with a Lock and Load build that didn't have Explosive Shot (0/31/40), and noticed that when Lock and Load proc'd it did not properly trigger no cooldown on Arcane Shot in the rotation test. Not that such a build is a viable PVE dps build at the moment, but it certainly could be interesting for PVP to do something like this.

The Fury of the Five Flights trinket could use a bit of a tweak. I'm at 0.91 shots per second, according to the spreadsheet, which means it takes a bit over 18 seconds to get a full stack. Not bad, but not trivial in my opinion.
Since you are already setting the duration of the fight, you could use this to get a more accurate number.
16*AvgShotTime/TotalTime + 32*AvgShotTime/TotalTime + ... + 304*AvgShotTime/Time + 320*(TotalTime-AvgShotTime*20)/TotalTime
=3040*AvgShotTime/TotalTime + 320*(TotalTime-AvgShotTime*20)/TotalTime
This number approaches 320 as TotalTime approaches infinity. With my frequency this puts it at about 311 AP for a 6 minute fight, but only 294 for a 2 minute fight.
Obviously this trinket would still have its caveats, but we could use this to figure out how long a boss fight would need to be (or a phase change before we must lose stacks - Mimiron?) for this trinket to be better than say Bandit's or Mirror.

Shandara, I can't even begin to thank you enough for your spreadsheet. It's one of the main reasons I stuck with my hunter for as long as I have. I was just curious if you had any plans to create something similar for other classes. I recently leveled a DK and am feeling a little lost without my trusty spreadsheet I've grown so attached to.

Does that take into account the fact that a single Explosive Shot will gain you 3 stacks of the AP buff?

I am noticing the exact same thing. Judgement of Wisdom does not clear when you clear the buffs and remains in the calculations on the calculations tab. Even manually setting it to no on the buffs tab has no effect.
