Searched this thread and the MM hunter thread, couldn't find an answer to whether Chimera Shot is normalized or not. Based on the calculations I see in the spreadsheet I believe it isn't, but just looking for an answer here to confirm.

Ah, a topic that has been covered multiple times, including in this thread. Spirit beasts contiue to be a sorry use of 51 pts in the BM tree. No exotic pet comes close to the dmg of scorpids still, even post nerf. Devilsaurs are about even with cats, assuming you ignore the survivability issues with devilsaurs due to their oversized hit box. Core hounds are a reasonable third.

Turns out we have a search button at the top of the page, and one of the fastest ways to be removed from this forum is to ignore it and ask other people to use it for you.

addon
Anyone know of an addon that will show the GCD for ranged attacks?
I've been using Quartz for all of burning crusade and now WOTLK but I can't seem to get the GCD to show as a bar. I'm not sure if I'm misinterpreting something about the addon or not but I thought it was able to do that.
If it is able to do it please let me know - then I'll know to keep trying to get it to work on my set up.

Quartz is capable of doing this. Make sure the Player, Swing, and Global Cooldown modules are turned on/configured properly.

Simple Question:
Why are there often marksman trees with skilled Rapid Killing? I sometimes found those in the marksman thread and i cant really understand the reason, because a marks usually got Readiness skilled wich should bring Rapid Fire automatically down to 3 min cd. Are the two points spent because of the second effect? I dont think you can really count on that while raiding. Have i overlooked something? Why are these two points worth spent there?
I would be grateful for answers and sorry for my bad english.. im working at it.

Rapid Killing forces the Rapid Fire cooldown to the same time as the Readiness cooldown; in a five minute fight, this effectively allows you a fourth Rapid Fire.
Think of it like this
0:0 Rapid Fire
0:15 Readiness
0:16 Rapid Fire (2)
3:15 Rapid Fire (3)
3:30 Readiness
3:45 Rapid Fire (4)
If you do not have 2 points in Rapid Killing, you cannot use Rapid Fire (3) in that example.

Ah, yes, i know what you mean. Thanks for answering.
Now I really wonder if its worth it...
Skilled you have 3,25/0,5 = 1/6,5 means 15,38461 % of fighttime youve got Rapid Fire on.
Unskilled you have 3/0,25 = 1/12 means 8,33.. % of fighttime youve got Rapid Fire on.
Hope there are no math mistakes.
Its not really the double, costs 2 talentpoints and a gcd. Now im really not sure about it.

How is Feign Death's resist chance calculated? Is it based on the spell hit table or the physical one? That is, would being hit capped for ranged attacks also make Feign Death never get resisted?

In regards to Malygos, I haven't been able to find a solution to the vortex bug aside from the already known /petfollow /petattack, ....

Has anyone discovered anything useful to add to this. I have been trying everything I can think of and my pet is still bugging unless I dismiss it before vortex and then call it back after. 10 sec cast on dismiss is not going to cut it. Even when I call it back for the vortex it bugs wherever I was standing before getting thrown in the air.

Do you use some macro to manage (and call back) your pet? If yes try recalling your pet with the standard button on the pet bar. Problem is, many macros use something like
/petpassive [target=pettarget,exists]
to recall the pet IF it has a target and that seems not to be true in the bugged state after a vortex!

Hi,
somehow, my scorpid is doing less dmg than a cat:
Wow Web Stats (my wws)
Wow Web Stats (my guildie wws)
Our gear is very similar (3220 vs 3273 AP)
Krachaboras pet build: Pet Calculator - Wowhead
Toris pet build: Pet Calculator - Wowhead
I expected scorpid do more dmg in a raid (yes i was the only hunter with scorpid), and DPS spreadsheet confirms that.

This also means the stack of scorpid poison might have fallen of at some, or even several times, causing you to lose loads of DPS. Spec into 2/2 GftT to prevent this.
Tip in general: spec 50/21 and get more than 2x TBW in a patchwerk fight... It really helps to have near full uptime of TBW while bloodlusted.

Thank you for the tips, come to think of if, my pet might have been unhappy. Gonna double check this next time. Is there an addon or a way to track if a pet has focus starvation? Yes i can check visually pet's status at the moment, but some way to summarise it (for example, an announcement "pet was below 30 focus 12 times during the fight") whould be even better

Scorpion and Cat remain the top DPS on the PTR, however they haven't been nerfed yet. We'll have to wait till they adjust the coefficient before we can know.

Spell hit, so you would need 17% spell hit for feign to be unresistable. With 263 hit rating, you have 10.03% spell hit, adding in the 3% from misery/imp faerie fire, there is a 3.97% chance for feign to be resisted. 2.97% with a draenei in the group.

Has anyone got any tips on the fastest way possible to level pets from 75-80?
I intend to level a couple up and don't want to spend massive amounts of time grinding :P

I've just been farming fire eles out by in Storm Peaks b/c I might as well make some money while leveling them up. Instancing is also a good (better) method.

Here's a basic rule of thumb: Enchantments that are "chance on hit" never work on ranged attacks.
