Was wondering, how much dps is considered 'decent' as SV, lets say on patch HC? Or, since i'd need to name specific gear/spec/pet/consumables, how much dps do you guys usually get?

What do you guys think is better, the extra agility gems and enchants you get by using [Grim Toll] or the AP from [Mirror of Truth]? im thinking the crit and AP from the gems and enchants would out weigh the AP what you guys think?

With an ICD of 45 seconds? the Mirror works out to an average of over 200AP, plus the crit. So you would need to free up enough hit gems to equal that. I don't think it's possible, which is why Mirror is still rated #3 or 4 in the trinket slot for most builds.

I was reading the builds and I came across this:
Shot Queue: SpS/CS/KS/AS/AimS/SS
Since I'm not a hunter and I'm looking for this for my friend, could anyone tell me what these stand for. Like what shots.
Thanks

While I'd encourage your friend to do his own research, I'm going to go ahead and explain the rotation. Basically, from left to right, this is a priority queue for a Marksmanship spec. When one or more shots are available, the one closest to the left of the queue takes prior
SpS is Serpent Sting, that you only need to use once per fight, unless the debuff falls off
CS is Chimera Shot, meaning that firing this is first priority if you have the Sting Debuff up (especially because but not limited to the fact that it renews the duration of SpS)
KS is Kill Shot - that only becomes active when your target is below 20%, but when it does come up, fire it every time it's off cooldown, unless CS is available
AS is Arcane Shot
AimS is Aimed Shot
SS is Steady Shot

so with SpS/KS/ES/MS/SS
it would be:
Serpent Sting
Kill Shot
Explosive Shot
Multi Shot
Steady Shot.
Right?

Rapid Fire
First time poster , sorry but i couldnt really find anything about my question .
As a fairly new hunter I'd like to ask what should one use during rapid fire+bloodlust ?
I noticed from my raids that the global cooldown is overwhelming for me specially as MM and SURV .
Basicly im spaming steady shots and chimera/explosives completly ignoring arcane/aimed during rapid fire+ bloodlust.
I do not use spreadsheets or simulators since i dont really believe in their reliability specially when theres always some things happening during a fight like moving changing targets delaying rotations and so on .
Is it worth using normal rotation while affected by rapid fire alone and rapid fire+ bloodlust?
Sorry for spelling/grammar, not native speaker.

1. Bad idea. Yes, spreadsheets shouldn't be taken as gold, since they assume Patchwerk style fights. But you will always be a better theorycrafter using them, especially when it comes to gear and talent choices.
2. Yes, yes it is.

I'm not really trying to be a theorycrafter i tend to test specs and gear choices during actuall boss fights not spreadsheets as they are never accurate or in some cases very very different from what you expierence in a raid enviorement.
Thanks for youre answer and hoping for some more opinions / raid expierence on this issue.
As a side note why do people tend to rate their dps on patchwerk ? Specially when it comes to melle classes , i mean Patchwerk is soldier type mob meaning he has ALOT more armor then any beast/humanoid in naxx which means alot more glancing ? Why not rate youre performance on Faerlina for example , afterall she has basicly none armor assuming u got a warrior tank and melles shine there . Not like anyone pays attention to get out of rain of fire that does less damage then prenerf Maghteridon trash mobs. I have expierenced all pve content as a hunter a healing shaman and a fury warrior and from my expierence Faerlina is a tank&spank boss same like patchwerk assuming youre raid members are 25men geard. No1 moves from rain of fire since it does very little damage and at least gives the healers something to do. On our last naxx25 our Unholy DeathKnight got 6100 dps on Patchwerk and 8300 on Faerlina i will find wws from that raid and post it once i get home.

Patchwerk is used for DPS because it is a single target boss, Faerlina on the other hand has multiple mobs that can be AoE'd, etc. I've broke 10k on that fight with my DK due to pestilence spread, our warrior does even more with cleave/whirlwind.

This is just me but i do not use Rapid fire during Blood lust. If you do both you go over your haste cap and your steady shot fires before your CD us up. i usually wait until after Bloodlust to use rapid fire seeing as most fights do not last longer than 5mins your CD wouldnt up even if you popped rapid fire right off the bat. Also if you speced or glyphed for a higher haste bonus from hawk you will go over the haste cap by a lot. But that is just my opinion. Also during Either i just continue my normal rotation. Keep SS up fire your EXP/chim shot when its up, and i do not spec for Aimed shot, it doesnt do enough damage to make a difference, i would rather have 1-2 points in Focus fire.
Also wondering what the opinion is regarding Focus fire and go for the throat, i put 1 in both but thinking of doing 2 in focus fire for the increase to my attack seeing as 1% of my dps is way higher than my pets dps period. any thoughts on that? and clicking my name will not link to my armory page my name is weird so heres my link if you wanna see my build/gear click here > The World of Warcraft Armory

Am I mistaken that I read a post that stated all bosses in WOTLK so far had the same armor values?
