I try to keep my shot cooldowns close to center so I can see them without taking my eyes off the fight - It's kind of a wide monitor, so I try to keep the important stuff towards the center. Same with the Quartz target debuff bars... helps me keep track of stings, HM, etc. Couple things you can't see here:
DBM bars are setup about 1/3 in from the left (to match the cooldowns 1/3 in from the right).
My Debuffs (red bars) extend up directly above my shot CD's on the right. Helps my reaction time to critical encounter debuffs.
All abilities are keybound and hidden except for the main bar - I sometimes change around a few keybinds here on the fly.
All of the frames in the middle are click-through. Here's the basic rundown:
AG UnitFrames
Cooldown Timers
Elkano's Buff Bars
Quartz
DBM
Recount
Omen
Titan Panel
Btex (bottom texture)
Sexy MiniMap
Bartender
Here is my ui that is quite simple , everything that is on left / right are permanently hidden or mouse over stuff.
(mainly i have hided everything)
I know also my key binding's totally so iv hided even skills that i use in combat and tried to make my key pindings as easy as possible: E ,F ,Q , tab , § , f1-f4, shift 1-shift4
the thing what i like about this ui is that its really simple enough space to see everything that happends and it doesnt cover the whole screen on raid's where is alot of stuff happening tho i have 22" screen i still want the screen to be clear and not stuffed with all kinda stuff that are not needed.
Main bar on middle , pet bar above it and then some pot/ skills that i see useful.
Mods that i use:
Faceshooter
Sct
Sctd
Dbm
Acb (casting bars that you see on the pic , focus , your self , breath etc etc) really handy
Bartender 4
Classtimer - if im surv spec then using it
Chat mod
Grid
"lolcooldowns" and other such macros/abilities are hot-keyed on hidden bars, a lot of my main bar buttons have a different action from right clicking or modifier usage. right click freezing trap for freezing arrow, for example.
yay for frames per second.
add-ons very lazily listed from left to right, top to bottom:
Shadowed Unit Frames (unit.. frames)
oRA2
Buffalo (Big Debuff icons only)
BigWigs
Sexymap
Parrot (Combat Text)
Elkano's Buff Bars
Omen Threat Meter
TellMeWhen (not visible in this image, see below)
Forte (Timer bar stuff by mr Xorcist) - considered disabling this for a while, just keep forgetting. seems to only take up space as I rarely glance at these.
Quartz (swing-timer here, for castbar see below)
Forte_Cooldown (cooldown timer by mr Xorcist)
Grid (with some boss debuff nonsense)
Prat (chat stuff)
Bartender4 + ButtonFacade with dsmFade skin (action bars)
a boring out of raid lonely hunter view is also visible here.
Big pink hello bars are for buffs I like to know are active. (Elkano's)
Rapid Fire/Readiness/Sting icons are TellMeWhen, Sting for when my target has no sting.
Quartz cast bar can also be seen, nothing special, maybe worthy to note target cast bar is just to the right of this.
Suits me. *scuttles off to disable Forte timers before forgetting*
Can anyone tell me what addons are being used in this picture. I really like and want to try ad recreate some of it. Unfortunately I lost the actual page where the picture came from so any help is greatly appreciated.

Everything in my UI tends to be small, compact and to the point. As a clicker I like to have everything to hand hence the block of spells at the bottom. Outgoing damage scrolls upward to the left of my hunter and Incoming damage / heals scrolls downward and to the right of my hunter. I don't use Elkano Buff Bars because the Blizzard buffs work just as well and aren't a billion miles wide, although I will be doing something to make them smaller I think. I'm also going to get Error Monster because I loathe the "Ability is not ready yet" spam.
I would like to write a special mention to oPie - the greatest addon I have. I use it for aspect changing. With a single click of mouse button five and a quick swipe of the mouse to the top right puts me into Dragonhawk, top left puts me into Viper and bottom left puts me into Cheetah / Pack. Changing aspects almost instantly without having to use keyboard shortcuts or travel with the mouse to a specific location in your casting bars is an absolute godsend and I encourage all Hunters to look into oPie. Seriously, it's awesome.
The icons in the top is power auras, they're there to show low range auras (like the space goat hit aura) and target debuffs so I can easily yell if something is missing. I toggled them to show even though they're not actually active just so I could make the screenshot show them nicely!
Some of the keys in my bars doesn't show their corresponding hotkeys for some reason but they ARE bound.
I decided to go a more 'central' approach with the timers and castbar, whilst everything remains below the pitbull frames, including combat text which scrolls directly in the space provided between the panels. Normally square buff buttons are really ugly to look at and only get really noticeable if they're enlarged or have a supreme timer ticking down, but it's quite space efficient and in a raid you should be fully buffed as it is.
Everything else is practically aesthetic value and serves the only purpose of black and white being able to contrast easier on WoWs graphics when they never directly put a black/white texture in raid situations. Though I do enjoy having the area at my feet free for the new void zone mechanics, and the rest of the space doesn't get touched by any mod whatsoever.
Most Visible:
Satrina Buff Frames
Pitbull 4
Quartz
Bartender4
Buttonfacade

ok so following some of the posts in this forum i downloaded and started using the Domino action bar addon. however, i cant seem to get my pet's action bar button to show where they are supposed to. any ideas?
Aspects are all on hotkeys, I'm experimenting with Watcher for addon cooldowns but PowerAuras also warns me when abilities are off cooldown. Recount is shown when out of combat, Omen shown in same space when in combat.
Kalilah, any chance you could post yours for upload? I similarly liked BP's and attempted to recreate it, but am not entirely happy with my version. For what its worth or those interested, i based mine off Keona_UI v1.03: Keona UI v1.03 : WoWInterface Downloads : Generic Compilations
behind the open char window there's the 4th and 5th raid grp frame. target sits on the same height mirrored from the player unitframe at the right side of the screen. targettarget and targettarget's target sit just underneath. omen fits the length of the target frame and is only shown infight. the focus frame is on the right underneath the buffs display.
to get an idea i'll post another ss here (few things messed up yet, like focus frame not properly layed out, forgot to deactivate grp frame after arena, messy x-perl settings..)
I like to have easy access and a good view over whats going on. that's why i set those bartender bars around the center of the screen. most of the spells are keybound (bX stands for mousebuttons). some, like the traps, burst and some other cc buttons i still have to klick. it doesn't really bother me, cause they are mostly planned rather than reactive ore repetitive actions. the 'conc' makro is a modifier macro: disengage and while holding shift, concussion shot. arena thing.
omen shows the aggro from the two closest players to the tank, and mine. this is sufficent for me. the display is very easy to spot and doesn't force me to search for when focused on different things on the same time.
My biggest focus in my UI is keeping clutter out of my main viewing area. Typically above my chat box I have my dot timers, but I'm currently experimenting with where to keep that; in the bottom right hand corner there are a bunch of hidden action buttons like my aspects and other abilities that are keybound. I have my aspects keybound to F1-F4. Dragonhawk, Viper, Pack, and Nature Resist (for the fun phase of Anub'). Suggestions more than welcome
