Necrie's UI Vid
The link is to a youtube movie I made about my UI. In it, I give a fairly detailed description of my UI's features, and you can actually see it in action. It was inspired by Photek, though I think that by now, I've made so many changes to it I could safely call it my own, heh.
The major goal of my UI was to give me as much viewable area as possible, and to draw the eye to the lower center of the screen. Player and target bars are there, cool downs, etc. I also tried to make the look not be too busy, so its easy to see (and avoid) things like rocket strikes, yogg clounds, and so on. Other than those goals, I mostly wanted something I thought looked good. It's a work in progress of course, but I wanted to share what I've got so far. A couple of the ideas I used in it are thanks to this site after all
Its not exactly light-weight, but when I'm running it trimmed down to it's core, it uses between 15 and 20 megs of memory, which isn't too bad.
