Is there any way to put the spreadsheet on a filesharing site that doesn't suck? All I get when I try to download the file (from both places) are messages that I've exceeded my download limit (when I haven't downloaded anything) or that I'm already downloading something (which I'm not). Annoying =\

Anyway, I know there hasn't been a lot of modeling done for BM in this thread - did everyone just see that low number in the original post and give up on the spec? I was hoping BM was going to be competitive in 3.1, but doing 1k DPS less than Survival isn't competitive at all. If your raid doesn't have the 3% damage buff then BM starts to look more attractive (since you can attribute all that extra dps to the hunter), but even if that brings BM closer to Survival, Survival still has Replenishment.

Can we maybe get a little more modeling done for BM to confirm that DPS really is that low? If it's that bad then oh well, but since almost all of the modeling done in this thread has been for SV and MM, it would be nice to get some additional data to back those numbers up.

I have noticed, in your gear sheets you are basing it off Marksmen. Is this the new "BiS" gear spec? If you could possibly provide a link, or direct me there then please do. Otherwise, Please make a gear spread that is based on a survival hunter.

I probably am missing something but I was wondering why RapidFire is first in the shot rotation of priority? Does haste effect global cooldowns and i'm just now learning about it?

No haste doesn't effect the GCD.

Am I missing something? Why has no one tried to use Engineering glove enchants? The latest buff to Hand Rocket sounds interesting, not to mention the hyperspeed accelorators are 57 haste.

The Pyro Rocket is about a 20 dps boost over an agility enchant on gloves, yes. The problem is that you'd have to give up either Blacksmithing or Jewelcrafting to use it and both of those are worth far more.

If you change all the gems to [Fractured Scarlet Ruby] and [Fractured Dragon's Eye] i'm getting a large DPS increase, however i tested this with a wolf as i have not been able to load of other pet abilities. But then since the ArP is only really for the hunter i do not see this being a big issue.

I'm finding that, depending on your AP/crit, ArP > AP once you reach around 25%.

Most likely, boots and ring change will increase the MM dps when we know the socket bonus of the boots.

This is a response to the Fractured gems comment (I couldn't quote because it kept timing out). When I insert fractured gems into a MM gear setup, I end up loosing a huge chunk of dps doing this. Please help me out to understand why or how you got a increase. I had a total of 514 ArP.

Also I'd Like to see the numbers with ArP gems over AP.

I'd be interested to see some numbers with those. Especially the steady shot glyph as well as seeing how it coincides with the ArP if there is any gain at all - given that steady scaling is already pretty bad.

I was re-reading through the post, and I noticed this.

Shot rotations

Pets/Pet talents/Pet rotations

Might want to change, because range no longer affects our DPS output. Due to them redoing Sniper Training.

Thank you, by the time I'd gotten the other parts all figured I didn't spend as much time messing with the gear and race portion as I would have liked.

The ability to not change the pet is a big issue. Not sure why it's broken. Kudos to you for taking the time to set it all up in the regular spreadsheet.

I made all the gear and race changes that I'm seeing (minus the Delicate Ruby in the chest, Bright was better) in the current sheet-

Same as above with ArP gems (minus helm)-
DPS: 6882.85
Hunter: 3874.03
Pet: 3008.82

Steady over Kill Shot glyph with the ArP gems was 1.25 DPS increase.

I would much prefer to see this tried out with the ability to change pets though as I'm not entirely convinced. Also, ArP food and elixir (hand adjusted ArP rating b/c it's not on the sheet) combined with Elixir of Mighty Thoughts were both huge DPS downgrades to the pure APs.

I've been working on a person best possible DPS spreadsheet to facilitate my own wish list for gear. However, it takes some liberties that the spreadsheets here do not follow. I am a Tauren, not Orc, I'm not willing to change my professions of JC/Mining, and I don't want to hit-cap through food. As BM, I've managed a list of gear with DPS of 6527.88 and is going up a bit as I tweak it. If anyone would be interested in seeing it, I will post it here, but because it does not follow the guidelines outlined in the OP, I haven't just yet.

Updated the OP with some of the templates that have been posted since my last visit.
A few remarks about them
- replacing agi with arpen gems resulted in a net loss of dps when I tried it.
- Brann's Signet Ring is not yet in the spreadsheet so I used the next best included instead.
- weekenders SV template surpassed sihyunies by about 4 dps. I couldn´t get anywhere close to his numbers though. Feel free to point me at any mistakes that may have resulted in those lower numbers.

Have you considered that it may prove unproductive to allow all kinds of hard mode loot? Items with low availability to the general raiding populace, or at least the ones that frequent these boards, may eventually make this effort useless. It might be an idea to split the spreadsheet into two, so that one spreadsheet allows all normal Ulduar 25 loot and all, including hard mode, Ulduar 10 man loot. Ulduar 10 man hard mode seems fairly doable, at least compared to Ulduar 25 hard mode. Just have a feeling that many people will not be able to get their hands on the Ulduar 25 hard mode loot and thus not be able to utilize the spreadsheet. In either case, it is quite certain that while you can relatively quickly get your hands on all normal mode Ulduar 25 loot, getting your hands on the hard mode loot will happen slowly indeed and even using Algalon loot at this current stage seems near fictional.

In Naxx 25 the spreadsheet was great, everyone had access to all the loot used but I have a feeling that loot access is going to be split into two tiers now - those that can access hard mode loot and those that can not. Eventually, everyone will be able to but at least for some time to come I have a feeling there's going to be a definite split between guilds.

I would like to second that. I am one of those hunters who wont be having access to hard mode in any foreseeable time, and so I would love to know what accessable gear would be best for me as a survival hunter.

Correct me if i'm wrong but this is the "Best possible DPS" thread right? I'd like to see the theoretical maximum and set that as my goal, if you want a more accessible list, then use the spreadsheet yourself for items you personally are likely to get.
