While ArP scales positively, I think the "exponential" scaling of ArP is being blown out of proportion (even though I know that is not to be taken literally).

Can it be assumed then that in a situation where you're unable to hit the softcap exactly it's actually more beneficial to be just under vs just over the softcap?

Best SV DPS v91c up to 10344,26

This is what i did to achieve this:

Used 2x 20agi gems in the Sabatons of ruthless judgement (Boots)
removed talent point from focussed fire
removed 3 talent points from Improved aspect of the hawk (2/5)
placed 1 point in aimed shot
placed 3 points in improved stings
changed multi-shot to aimed shot in shot rotations

just a question.. I dont see haste marked anywhere in this, I as well see ArP over 500 in every spec, it seems for survival you wouldn't want to much since you main attack explosive shot is based on fire damage and ArP doesnt help it too much..

I also see the pet pulling over 1k dps in all of these.. I could be wrong here but I dont believe this should happen in any spec other than BM. I was just curious as to how the pets dps got raised so much?

also what kind of gear is being used to get over 1k ArP in marks?? You must have had a lot of end game epics to select from with no one else rolling on them to perfect your ArP.

I've also noticed your going into Survival Instincts and a lot of things that up Arcane Shot damage yet your not using it, I do as well notice these kinds of things buff SS/AiS as well.. but it seems like a bit of waste and I realize your using the ArP theory..

my question on that is why? you're gearing would have to be precise, not to mention you couldnt do straight ArP gems if you wanted your meta slot at all.. (21 agi, 3% increased crit dmg) is what I assume you'd be using.

on top of it all you'd be wasting a lot of talents that up arcane shot as I mentioned before.. as well as you'd be dropping haste for arp in the gear itself which we do a lot of damage of haste since our auto shots do a grip of our damage especially with Wild Quiver.. then you'd be dropping a lot of crit from loosing agi gems and crit in the gear, so you would be pulling more white damage.. maybe I am missing something here in the theory but thats my veiws on it.

arcane shot crits 8k top end in 25 mans, chimera critting 15k top end.. I shoot 2 arcane shots per Chimera, thats a lot of damage.

I am duel spec Surv/Marks.. surv main spec.

I'm playing with the spreadsheet again. Just wondering if you went for 4 piece T9 (H), or did some combination of offset or Tier 8.5 to produce that dps. I would like to start from that point and play around with different set bonuses, etc.

He used the same gear set up on page 1 in 91c, which is the 4 piece t9 (H). And then he changed every single gems to arp gems including dragon's eye except nightmare tear, and then switch runestone to banner of victory.

same as ajatar my pet isnt even close to the 1k dps. i was using a ferocity cat but switched to a wolf but it still isnt pulling off 1k. could anyone help me with that?

another thing.I recently got my runestone, atm sitting at 99% at proc my question is what are the best glyphs to use for my setup. im curently raiding with glyph of the hawk, steady shot and aimed shot.

Got an full T8,5 tier but still my dps is like 4-5k i think im doing something very wrong.

Hey guys, I have noticed something odd about the Hunter spreadsheet (91c) and hopeing to get some clarification.

According to the Gear planer, the Relic Hunter’s Cord is suppose to be a DPS increase vs. Belt of the Blood Pit; But when making adjustments to the gear I end up with a DPS loss instead.

I guess my question is, do I go by the DPS numbers or the Gear planer.

I think the most accurate way of determining if an item is an upgrade is by equipping it and doing the necessary adjustments with enchants and gemming. The gear planner can only give you some suggestions and ideas, but is often wrong when you actually equip the item.

I don't know if anyone else has taken a look at the hunter shot rotation for MM, but is it safe to say, that it is somehow wrong? (I don't know if this changes the DPS max for MM)

ATM the shot rotation priority is (without bloodfury):

Rapid Fire
Readiness
Kill Shot
Serpent Sting
Chimera Shot
Aimed Shot
Silencing Shot
None
Steady Shot

Shouldn't it be:

Silencing Shot (because it is off GCD it should always be the earliest)
Rapid Fire
Kill Shot
Serpent Sting
Chimera Shot
Aimed Shot
Readiness
None
Steady Shot

Take a look at the shot rotation (the Test Rotation) for the Best MM, they have Rapid Fire -> Silencing Shot -> Readiness -> Silencing Shot without even trying to do a chimera or aimed

A difference of 5,18, not a big deal at all. But I'm really interested in seeing which gear pieces you used to obtain a number over 200 higher than the current.

The changes to the spreadsheet between v91a, which Lilbitters was referencing, and the current v91d have resulted in lower dps totals. You can check the changelog for the specific details but I believe these changes are the reason you're not seeing the same numbers.

First: There hasn't been big changes in mechanics (except LnL), so check your settings (delay between shots), the last spreadsheets often has different settings e.g. pets and delay.

Second: No, Orc is still better than Troll (around 100DPS).

Third: Most of the items were 25man hardmode loot, listed on mmo-champion and fit in via custom items (not confirmed, but I am still wondering why people post "worse" setups with 300dps less than possible).

Btw: The 10man hardmode neck (Collar of Unending Torment) instead of Charge of the Demon Lord (25 hm) and switching 2 Fractured to Delicate Cardinal resulted in +1DPS *cheer*

There's actually an Add-On called rating buster you can use. It will tell you what stats it increases and doesn't including gems and chants and makes it easier to decide just my looking at the gear.

I find many things wrong with this spread sheet though, as I had stated in an earlier post.

We have an increase to critical strike rating with bows by 1%, as well as beserking. I would recommend an orc shaman over a troll because of axe and fist weapon racial.. but that's a different subject.

The 1% crit and zerk is fine, but orcs get +322ap and 5% pet damage. You can check it as either an orc or a troll and see which gets more, so far orc has always been higher.

Orcs also wear shoes.

On a proper note, the %5 pet damage will continue to provide the advantage for orcs as gear improves and if BM once again becomes useful, the orc advantage will increase even further. In comparison, 1% crit is a static buff that is only present if you have the right weapon, which has been difficult to maintain this xpack unless you have access to gladiator weapons.

Hey! I have a small question regarding pets (not sure if this is the right thread for it though). I was wondering that would a raptor be a good pet overall? If you use Kill Command+Savage Rend, does the bleed portion of Savage Rend get that 60% damage bonus? If you can get Savage Rend buff uptime near 100% as BM, would raptor be a better pet than devilsaur?

I'm still double and triple checking of course but I have achieved 10,933.14 dps with a slight change to talents and gear (3x T9 instead of 4x, however it is possible no tier 9 may even be an option which I shall check after). I also slightly editted the rotation (Readiness at the end instead of start and such).

The spec I have chosen is 11/55/5, dropping Survival Instincts, Rapid Recuperation and 1/3 FA for 5/5 Focused Fire and 1/1 Aspect Mastery. It isn't a practical spec (you lose quite a bit of mana regen) but theory it is perfect. I also only went one Death's Choice (heroic version) but using both is 17 more dps but unlikely you can use both.

Just checked, no T9 gear is around 700 dps less, I think 3/5 is the best as (for some reason) the 4 set isn't worth taking a fourth piece? Not 100% sure there but oh well :P

Edit: Added Draenei Racial (was at 99.86% hit) and got 10,956.05dps (so close yet so far

Edit 2: I'm a dumbass, 41 over ArP cap will not help me :P Changed Yellow Socket in Helm to Deadly Ametrine to get socket bonus, same for Weapon. Should be 11050.77dps now (broke 11k ftw

). I can't see it any higher, but I could be wrong, feel free to correct me :P

I'm sure we'd all love to be able to spec into 5/5 Focused Fire but unless your privy to something I'm not aware of that's just not possible.

Updated to v91f, changed the savagery enchant with the massacre one and also removed the two Dragon's Eyes that were too many in the SV template. Couldn´t find any other obvious improvements over the existing templates though.
