For one thing it seems like he did his changes on the original spreadsheet not on the one downloaded here which kind of doubles my work. Also he did all the changes with Open Office and I don´t really trust those values. I assume there´s just something that breaks because it doesn´t process the contained scripting properly which leads to the higher result.
In short: if the results should be included in the op please either
- use my linked spreadsheet and describe the changes made to them (like in post #128) or
- give a full description of everything that isn´t fixed as per op (like in post #3 and #4) or
- upload your own spreadsheet with the template in question
That beeing said I did miss the changes proposed by Schanaha and Ingmar which did lead to an 73.44 DPS upgrade to the BM template. I changed it now though.

Apologies if someone has already done this, but is there any chance anyone could host the spreadsheet with the top DPS sets using a hosting site other than rapidshare? For some reason rapidshare tells me that my IP is already downloading and the only way I can download the spreadsheet is by paying for a premium account.
I have the original spreadsheet, but it'd be nice to download the one with the BIS sets already included.

Two reasons I chose to start with Shandara's sheet, in the absence of any specific instructions (which now exist). First, the name of the thread. Second, I wanted to avoid any possible problems that might have existed in Middi's sheet.
It turns out that I was correct: there are errors in Middi's sheet which is what caused me problems in the very beginning.
After gaining access to Excel (2003), I have learned that OOo and Excel come up with the same results for the sheets, so OOo compatibility is no longer in question. I will be updating my original post to remove the edits and make it "easier" to follow along.
The Target Debuffs contain (copy/paste?) errors:
- Hunter's Mark (not you) has modifier "100%" instead of "Both". Hunter's Mark isn't mentioned in The List of buffs, but "100%" isn't a valid choice anyway.
- Blood Frenzy/Savage Combat has no modifier at all, instead of "100%".
These two corrections raised the default SV spec from 6556.39 to 6701.15. BM and MM will both go up, but I'll wait for these corrections to make it to Middi's sheet before doing anything else.
First off, my apologies if my post came over rude, it wasn´t my intention. Also thanks for pointing out the errors, I just fixed them. You guessed right in that they originated in my copy&pasting the debuffs when the additional Hunter's Mark line was introduced to the spreadsheet.
The reason why I´m so picky about how changes are communicated is that it´s really time consuming and prone to errors (as has just been demonstrated) to get new templates in and carry them over from version to version. Now if you do it on one of the original sheets I´ll have to first get one of those, recreate your path, verify the result and then do it all over again in the other spreadsheet.
Also please forgive me if I´m still a bit sceptical about OO compatibility with the spreadsheet. Last time I used it, it didn´t work properly and I kept reading about people who have problems with it too in Shandara's thread. That´s not to say your results are wrong or that it cannot work of course.

As i was looking through this, I had noticed that you had used [Darkmoon Card: Greatness] (That particular item has strength.) I figured it was probably intended to be 90+ agility. As i stated earlier, just picking out the errors.
had to use custom item on Wrist's and Gloves due to the fact that the spreadsheet doesn't have the option to add blacksmithing socket to them. but i just took the basic stats and added 16agi so it should be exactly the same as adding a socket.
The wowhead item tag is defaulting to the Str one, just like in your post. Think everyone reading this thread should know or can assume he's using the Agility one, since its the only one modelled in the spreadsheet.
Hunter DPS 3431,97
Pet DPS 2614,01
Total DPS 6045,99
Health 24839
Armor 11448
Mana 13645,5
Dodge 16,11%
Same Items as Best_DPS_84
Change Spec to Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft (BM 52/12/7)
Use Survival Hunter Items at default
change every agility gems with AP version, like 16 Agility to 32 AP, and 27 Agility to 54 AP (3 gems).
change leggings with "Leggings of Failed Escape" put the same gems
change socket of belt with "Pristine Monarch Topaz (16 AP, 8 Hit)"
change head ench with "Rigid Autumn's Glow (16 Hit)"
Change Boot Ench with "Greater Assault".
Glove Ench with "Crusher".
Remove Agility + Intellect Pot and Put Flask of Relentless Rage Pot
and change food with "Poached Northern Sculpin" Glyphs - Glyph of Bestial Wrath + Glyph of Steady Shot + Glyph of Aspect of the Hawk
Change pet to Devilsaur with Monstrous Bite > Bite
With the best dps gear posted with ArP, such as the boots, legs, and neckpiece. Would they still be a higher dps than equivilent gear with specifically ap/crit/haste gear with a warrior tanking?
Granted, the boots and the neckpiece are level 226 and there isnt items without ArP at that level.
Now im an Enchanter/JC and i think Chanting> LW because with the ring stats which is +32 atck power and the +50 Atck power chant you get 124 Atck power bonus instead of just the 114 + from LW

C/D?
The two ring enchants + 50AP to bracers would equal 114AP not 124.
I checked the configuration and as far as I can tell it can´t top the current best sv template (I´m getting 6676,05). In any case I don´t think it´s very useful to try to get better templates at this momemnt, because with 3.1 just around the corner we´ll have to redo most of it anyway. I guess I´ll pick up here again by the time v86 is ready or something.

I was just wondering, why is the Raptor listed as the best dps pet in the speccs?
I've been testing on a target dummy with both a cat and a raptor, and the cat comes out 30-40 dps more than the raptor (when I use the raptor, I time Kill Command and Savage Rend, and when i use the cat, I just hit kill command). Am I doing anything wrong? I've just been hitting autoshot meanwhile.

This was gone over a few times in the spreadsheet thread, but it's still a valid question. Shandara has said that due to the long cooldown on the raptor ability, once averaged out, it will look like more dps than a cat. It's streaky, however, and cats are consistent. Depending on the length of your test, that can contribute to the differences.

Savage rend is dependent on pet crits. I assume Raptor's come out ahead in raids due to buffs.
